He fought hard the last years of his life with many illnesses. Proud Veteran, served with the Queen’s Own Rifles before transferring to his beloved 48th Highlanders. He won the Military Medal in 1943 after being cited several times for bravery. The camaraderie of the 48th is well known. He is now at peace after a long battle.
