(Veteran W.W.II Royal Navy). At home on Tuesday, May 8th, 2001. Laurie in his 76th year. Beloved husband of the late Joan. Loving father of Janet Hamilton, Christine Barr, Paul Connelly and his wife Marlie Morrison. Grandfather of Elizabeth and Laura Hamilton, Reece Connelly. Dear brother of Ann Connelly, and the late Jenny Nelson. "James had a beautiful voice and loved to sing whether it be on the stage or on the scaffold." Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday, May 12th, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. Cremation. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Saturday.

GODFREY, Brian Mason -
Peacefully at the Port Perry Hospital on Tuesday May 8th, 2001, at the age of 68. He is survived by his wife Joan. He was the loving father ofJanette, Michael (Leanne), John (Linda), Matt (Janet) Godfrey. Also missed by grandchildren Jennifer, Jasmine, Erica, Chris and Melissa Godfrey. Brian leaves behind brother William (Vera) Godfrey. Predeceased by his parents William and Katheleen (Mitchell), sisters Elizabeth Marshall and Marina Godfrey. He will also be missed by all his nephews. Friends and family were received at the Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton on Friday. Funeral was held in the chapel on Saturday at 11 A.M. Interment at the Stone Church cemetery , Beaverton. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

(Member of the Polish Combatant’s Associa­tion in Canada Inc., Veteran of WWII, Lifetime member of the Oshawa Ski Club “Kir­by"). Suddenly at Marnwood Nursing Home, Bowmanville on Tuesday May 8, 2001 in his 95th year. John, beloved husband of the late Edina Baranyay. Predeceased by his sister Anna Sas Przybyslawski Leczczynska, and brother Roman Lubicz Przybyslawski. Survived by his sister in law Adelayda Sas Przybyslawska. Survived by his cousin Janina Rawicz Jasinska-Lepinska and family. Predeceased by his cousins Tomasz Rawicz Jasinski, and Feliks Rawicz Jasinski and his widow Alexandra Rawicz Jasinska and family. Survived by his dear friend and caregiver Ms. Terry Holowczenko and all of her family. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with funeral service in the Chapel on Tuesday June 5, 2001 at 11 :00 a.m. Interment at Thornton cemetery. Visitation Monday June 4, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the CNIB or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully, at home, in Pickering, on Monday, May 7, 2001, in his 80th year. Bruce, loving husband and best friend of Jean. Adored father of Cynthia and her husband Tony Ceney and Larry. Beloved grandpa of Kelly, Sean and his wife Jennifer, and very proud great-grandpa of Dustin and Brock. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Peacefully at his home on Sunday May 6, 2001 in his 76th year. Sam, beloved husband of the late Edna Boyd (nee Hamilton). Loving mother of Jacqueline Boyd and her husband Randy Nichols. Loved grandfather of Justin Burgess and his partner Jenny Dalziel, and Ashleigh Nichols. Great grandfather of Alyssa Burgess. Sam will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. Dear sister-in-law of Ann and her husband Al, Ray and her husband Vincent. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.
