TASS, Barbara -
(Retired teacher formerly with the Durham Region Roman Catholic School Board) Peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, after a lengthy and valiant battle with cancer, on Friday, August 31, 2001. Barbara Tass, in her 77th year, beloved wife of the late Tadeusz (Ted) Tass. Greatest loving and caring mother of Sophie, Andrew, Mary and her husband Gary, and Richard. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Alanna and her husband Don Norman, Amy, Joshua, Richard, Robin and her great granddaughter Ocean. Survived by family in Poland. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Mass of Christian Burial from St. Hedwig's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 4, 2001 at 10 a.m. Interment Resurrection cemetery. Prayers will be held at the funeral home Monday at 7 p.m. Memorial donations to the Cancer Clinic Lakeridge Health, Oshawa would be appreciated. Visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

ACTON, Harvey Willard -
Peacefully, at his home on Thursday, August 30th, 2001. In his 78th year. Harvey, beloved husband of Marion Winnifred Forsythe. Dear father of Brooke and his wife Christine, Brian and his wife Debbie, Bonnie Acton and Floyd Horslen, and Barry and his wife Donna. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jeremy, Jeffery, Elizabeth and Rebecca. Predeceased by his brother Bruce. Resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, 23 Main Street South on Friday, August 31, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the chapel on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Interment , Uxbridge cemetery. In Harvey's memory, donations may be made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation or Charity of your choice.

ANDERSON, Christine Mary -
At her home on August 30, 2001 at the age of 70. Predeceased by parents Jim and Ruby Anderson. Survived by her brother Malcolm Anderson, niece Helen Anderson, and nephew Jim Anderson. The family will received friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax, from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2001. A Funeral Service in the Chapel will follow at 4 p.m. Cremation.

passed away peacefully in her sleep, with her family by her side, on Thursday, August 30, 2001. Winnifred Anderson, lovingly remembered by Ralph Anderson. Loving mother of Trudy (Harvey), and Roger (Rhonda). Loving Nana to Brad (Terri), Sean, Kim (Andy), Christopher, Ryan and Warren. Great Nana of Tyler, Hayley, Nolan and Brianna. Dear brother of Bill and his wife Alice, Ken and his wife Joan, Len and his wife Carol, Elsie Henderson, Audrey Gibson, Anne Franklin and the late Greta McClean. He will be sadly missed by 32 nieces and nephews and 65 great nieces and nephews. Treasured mother of Vilma and Ron Cain, Ted and Joan Hensler, and Rosemarie Marsh and Allen Arnold. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Debbie, Stephanie, Ted, Michael, Christopher and 7 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2001. Born in Port au Port, Newfoundland to Edwin Harvey Hooper and Annie Cordelia Pieroway on August 8th, 1912. Loving husband of the late Lavinia Elsie (nee Essex). Dear father of Joy and husband Milt Wilson of Courtice, Bob and wife Muriel of Oshawa, and Glenn and wife Rosanne of Raglan. Loving grandfather of Scott, Rhonda (Pottery), Nanci, Jimi and Mark; greatgrandfather of Kevin, Jacqueline, Kurtis, Kolten, Danielle, Jessica, and Bailey; greatgreatgrandfather of Andrea. Predeceased by four brothers Charlie, Walter, George and Austin and brother to Reta (McRae), Jack, Stanley, and Harold (Bud). Turner, Clarence F., Whitby (formerly of Toronto) -
passed away at Lakeridge Health Centre Oshawa on August 30, 2001, in his 75th year. Clare is survived by his wifeof 48 years, Jean. His love, his life, his best friend. Dad will be tremendously missed by his loving daughters Sue and Fran (husband David) and predeceased son David. Grandpa will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his granddaughters Erin and Katelyn, his niece Janet Corpe, and nephews Bruce and Ross Borden. He leaves behind three grandchildren, Christine, Devon and Rachel. Went to be with her Lord peacefully with her family by her side, on Tuesday, August 28, 2001, in her 73rd year. Audrey, beloved wife of the late Elmer Harmon. Loving mother of Tom and his wife Nita, Jennifer and her husband Ray McWhirter, Jeff and his wife Mary-Jane, Kimberly and her husband Dale Quinn, and the late Timothy. She will be greatly missed by her six grandchildren, three siblings and many friends. Audrey will always be remembered for her fondness of gardening, quilting, her pets, and her dedication to St. Mark’s United Church. The family will receive friends at the W’.C.
