Peacefully in her sleep with her family by her side, at Hillsdale Manor on Sunday January 13th, 2002. Justyna in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Marijan Wozny (Sunday May 6th, 1979). Loving mother of Olga Burnat and her husband Walter, Jane Taylor and her husband Bob, Marjan and his wife Karen Wozny. Lovingly remembered Baba of Mary and her husband Richard Bosworth, Walter Burnat and his wife Cathy, Rob Taylor and his wife Shannon, Nadine Taylor, Matt Taylor and his wife Lori, John, Melissa, Michael, Monique Wozny, and Babcha of Julya Campbell and her husband Doug, Charles, Christopher, Madison, Abigail, Dylon and great great grandmother of Cameron. Justyna arrived in Oshawa in 1949 from Horodnycia, Ukraine and became one of the true pioneers in the Ukrainian community. She survived both world wars and challenged every obstacle that stood before her to make this a better life for her family. Her strong faith in God, her love of the Ukrainian community and her determination will be missed by everyone. As a parish "sister" she was committed to her church. She loved to dress up the altars with flowers from her garden. And, her beautiful singing voice will echo in our minds forever. In 2001 she she was awarded for her dedication of 50 years voluntary service by the Minister of Citizenship. She retired from Sklar Furniture. She never lost touch with her family back home in Ukraine, and always kept us together. A very proud lady she was, she often reminded us that her roots were very strong here in Canada. You are now walking in God's garden. Your spirit will live in us forever.
