Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa on Wednesday, February 27, 2002, in her 58th year. Beloved wife of Martin for 21 years. Devoted and loving mother of Ron McNutt and companion Tanya Dobson, Peggy Oliver and her husband Robert, all of Oshawa, Martin Anger and his wife Jen of Pickering and April Anger of Oshawa. Cherished 'Grammy' to Roxanne and Crystal Simpson, Robert and Michael Oliver and Kayla Anger. Sister of the late Marie Walcz. Dear aunt of Larry and Lori Walcz and their family. Sister-in-law of Marianne Curran and her husband Eldon, Carol and her husband Jim McIntosh and their families. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service and committal will be held in the chapel on Monday, March 4, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Peggy to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Centre - Oshawa on Wednesday, February 27, 2002. Coila Isabelle, in her 75th year. Beloved wife of Howard M. Cook. Dear mother of daughters Sandra Jamieson (Barry), Mary Lynn Sandor (John), Heather Kosbab (Bruce) and sons Rodger (Denise) and Peter (Barb). Loving grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 3. Sister of Mary Neale and Ron Neale (Ann). Visitation commenced Thursday, February 28th from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday, March 1st from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. A complete funeral service was held in the chapel of the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Friday March 1st at 4 p.m. Memorial donations to the Durham Lung Association or Kingsview United Church would be appreciated by the family.

FUERST, Elizabeth Anne -
Peacefully after a lengthy illness on February 27, 2002 at Lakeridge Health, Whitby. Loving mother of Vincent and Phillip. Cherished daughter of Frank. Sister to Frank, Helen and Jim. 'Beth' will be fondly remembered by many friends and family. Visitors will be received at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering, Monday, March 4, 2002 from 12 noon. A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of 'Beth' will follow in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Private cremation to follow. Many thanks to the caring staff at Lakeridge Health, Whitby and Oshawa.

KOTYNSKI, EDWARD -
Age 88, died peacefully in South Okanagan General Hospital, Oliver, British Columbia, on February 27th 2002. A 43-year resident of Oshawa, he was active in the Oshawa Polish Veterans Association. He was a graduate of the Polish Naval Academy and defended freedom during the Second World War serving in the British Navy after confinement in a Siberian concentration camp. He survived his wife, Josephine, by 28 years and is survived by his daughter Mary Theberge, her husband John, and 2 granddaughters. In 1998 he moved to Kitchener, and then followed his family to live among the beautiful mountains of Oliver one year ago.

MUIR, Archibald Richard -
(of Courtice, Ontario, born August 13, 1913 in Scarborough). Beloved husband of the late Elnora ‘Toots' Blakeley. Dear son of the late Archibald and May Muir. Loving father of Melody and her husband Bruce Hendry, Margaret and the late Allan Foran and April and her husband George Sowchuck. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Christopher Foran and his wife Christine Gierer, and Katie, Lucas and Emma Sowchuck. Special appreciation to sister-in-law Gwen Muir. Survived by brother Alex (Sandy) and his wife Mildred; cousins Art and Doreen Palk and many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by sisters Glen Etta and her husband John Empringham, Hazel and her husband Andrew Minto and Sadie and her husband Eric Courtice, and brothers Harold and his wife Frances, Bruce, and Robert. Resting at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484) with Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday March 2 at 1 p.m. The family of Archie will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Interment Ebenezer cemetery , Courtice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Golden Plough Lodge, Cobourg or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated.

SAGAN, Mary (nee Sikora) -
Peacefully at Hillsdale Manor, Oshawa, on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late John Sagan. Dear mother ofJohn and his late wife Elizabeth. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren John, Tessy, Marlene and her husband Rod, and great grandchildren Amy, Richard, John, David and Jessica. Will be missed by Phyllis, Damien and Charlotte Steel. Survived by her brother John in the United States. Predeceased by her sisters and brothers in the US and Slovakia. Peacefully, at Walnut Grove Nursing Home, Oshawa on Tuesday, February 26, 2002. Anne, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Walter Buzminski. Dear mother of Ed, and his wife Theresa, Ray, Faye, and her husband Al Muir, John and his wife Jane and Bob. Dear sister of Pete Horhut of Alberta and Olga Shortt of Oshawa. Lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren; Tim Mackness, Pam Callow, Janet Painter, Sandra Muir, Leslie Buzminski, Carrie-Anne Freeman, Angela Buzminski, Mark Buzminski, Christian Radcliffe-Buzminski and Blaise Radcliffe-Buzminski. Fondly remembered by her 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter May Mackness and her granddaughter Shelley Mackness. passed away at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa on Tuesday, February 26, 2002 in his 74th year. Terry Deering beloved husband of Jean Deering of Port Perry. Loving father of Anthony Deering of Manchester and Paul Deering of Port Perry. Dear grandfather of Shannon, Tia, Erica and Harlie. Mr. Deering is predeceased by his brother Lawrence. MacDONALD, Shaylah Daniel -
(January 14, 2001 - February 26, 2002, 13 months of age). On February 26, 2002, at the Hospital for Sick Children, after a four month battle with Neuroblastoma, the Angels took Shaylah home. Shaylah's bright, playful spirit will be cherished forever by her parents, Marilyn MacDonald and Daniel Ball, her Nana and Papa Gloria and James MacDonald, Grandma Joan Ball, Grandpa Ronald Ball, great Grandmother Marie Elliott, her aunts and uncles, Joyce and Bill, Jacalyn, Steven and Jennifer. Shaylah will be fondly remembered by her family and friends. A special Thank you to the staff at theHospital for Sick Children especially the support received from Dr. David Mailkin and Mary Stewart. Rested at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. Funeral service was held from Kingsview United Church on Friday March 1, 2002 at 2 p.m. Interment Thornton cemetery.
