Owner, from 1959 to 1995, of C & C Sound (Butt Radio), Whitby. Passed on peacefully after a short illness on Friday, May 31st, 2002. Loving husband of Alice (Nolan), dear father of Anne (Hird) and Christopher, dear grandfather to Paul Hird and Sheila (Hird) English, "Grandpa" to Erin and Tara. Brother of The Rev. Donald, predeceased by brother Albert and sister Mable (Gray). A private family Memorial Service was held on Friday, June 7th, 2002. Following a brief illness at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Friday, May 31st, 2002. Tommaso Ciarlariello, in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Ida. Dear son of Mrs. Angela Ciariariello of Italy and the late Nicola Ciarlariello. Loving father of Angela and her husband Emery Coscarella and Fred and his wife Annina. Dear Grandfather of Melina, Allana, Alexandra and Thomas Coscarella and Tommaso Ciarlariello. Dear brother of Carmine and his wife Antonietta of Windsor and Anna and her husband Giovanni Manocchio of Italy and Antonio and his wife Anna of Italy. Predeceased by his brother Raffaele. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. KIRBY, Donald Richard -
Suddenly, on May 31, 2002 at Northern Lights Regional Health Services in Fort McMurray Alberta, Richard Kirby in his 55th year, son of Marjorie June (Skelton) and the late Gordon W. Kirby of Oshawa, lost his brief battle with Cancer. Richard is survived by his ex-wife Sonia and children Robyn, Christopher and Rebecca. Also numerous family members including Mrs. Greg Campbell (Ginny), Ron Kirby and fiance Paula Kelly, Carlene Makrevski, Mrs. Brian Anderson (Kim), Mr. Guy Kirby and wife Susan, Mr. Michael Kirby and wife Susan, Mrs. Ben Hofing (Cheryl) and Mr. Scott Kirby and wife Monica. Nieces and Nephews Mrs. Dave Hanson (Leslie), Jennifer and Ron Monroe, Mrs. Gerald Derdaele (Brenda), Michael and Julie Kirby, Kirby and Kevin Makrevski, Clayton, Amy, Emily and Trevor Anderson, Laura, David and Mark Kirby, Jeff Kirby, Jason, Jamie, Bryan, Samantha and Matthew Hofing, Stefanie and Jacob Kirby, Jeremy and Matthew Vandenbroek and great niece and nephews, Julia and Joshua Derdaele and Bailey Monroe. Predeceased by brother-in-law Jim Makrevski. A celebration of his life will be held at the home of his cousins Len and Joan Skelton on Sunday, June 23 at 1 - 3 p.m. at 446 Beverly St., in Oshawa.

At William Osler Health Centre, Etobicoke, on Friday, May 31, 2002. She came into the world on this day and left it on her 84th birthday. Dorothy is survived by her husband Harley (Lundy) of Etobicoke. Loving mother of Barbara Green and her husband Vernon of Wilmot Creek. Missed by grandchildren Susan and her husband Dennis, Raymond, Wayne and his wife Heather, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother-in-law Bill Penny and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy lived life to the fullest and always had a smile. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. (G.M. employee Oshawa, Retired) Peacefully after a brief illness at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, May 31, 2002. Nick, in his 62nd year, beloved husband of 40 years to Patricia (Curtis), father of Irene Sheppard and Stacey and her husband Jim Allen, all of Oshawa. Cherished (Grumpy) of Nicholas and Katie Rose Sheppard and Jimmy and Patrick Allen. Predeceased by his parents Gus and Clementine Pappas of Moncton, New Brunswick and brother Peter Pappas and sister-in-law Jackie Defalco Kelly. Nick will be sadly missed by sister Gloria (Allen) McGarrity, brothers George (Lois) Pappas, Jimmy (Pam) Pappas, Deno (Cathy) Pappas, in-laws Jack and Irene Dickson, Fran Curtis and Leona Taylor and Maureen McCulloch. Suddenly, on Friday, May 31, 2002, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 64. Gary Sweetman of Seagrave, cherished husband of Donna (nee Porter) for 40 years. Proud and loving father of Kent Sweetman and his wife Catherine Norris of Mississauga, and Lyn and her husband Ron Davis of Minden. Loved grampa of Amanda, Samantha, Micheal and Skye. Dear brother of Allan Sweetman of Bowmanville, Ross Sweetman of Lindsay and Marie Clarke of Apsley. Predeceased by his parents and Dale (nee Armstrong) and Gordon Sweetman. passed away quietly at home, the morning of Wednesday, May 29, 2002 comforted by her loved ones. Beloved wife of the late Robert Thomas Ewing. Lovingly and always remembered by her daughters Linda and her husband David King and Catherine and her husband Wayne Hill. Cherished grandmother of Robert, Shannon, Melissa, Kyle and great grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Phyllis and Georgina. Hilda was a former Adult Education Teacher at George Brown College and a Past President of the South Pickering Seniors.
