at his home in Newtonville on Saturday, May 11, 2002, in his 68th year. Jim, beloved husband of Olga. Loving father of Mike Bayda and his wife Lynn of Newcastle, and James McRobbie and his wife Lisa of Keswick. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Melissa and Colin Bayda. Brother of Betty and her husband Alex Hastie of Oshawa, Charlotte Hooper of Sault Ste. Marie, Isabelle and her husband Keith Cummings of Trenton, and Andrew McRobbie and his wife Barb of Moncton, N.B. Respecting Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place, with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. South., with visiting for one hour prior. In Jim’s memory donations to the Charity of your choice or the Newcastle Fellowship Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated by his family.

A resident of Ajax since 1957, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 11, 2002 at Ballycliffe Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Eric Charles Norman. Loving mother of Neil and wife Pauline, Bryan, and Kevin and wife Elaine. Grandmother of Peter, Jodi, Michelle, Jessica and Tammy. Great grandmother of Eric, Tabatha, Dylan and Alex. Resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge 23 Main Street South for visitation on Monday, May 13th, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the chapel on Tuesday, May 14th at 2:00 p.m. Interment , Foster Memorial cemetery , Uxbridge. Interment St. Wolodymyr and St. Olha cemetery. Prayers in the Chapel Monday at 7:30 P.M. Visitation 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. Monday.

VANDEN HEUVEL, Jane -
Peacefully after a debilitating stroke on Saturday May 11, 2002 at Lakeridge Health Whitby at the age of 83. Jane, beloved wife of the late Marius Vanden Heuvel. Loved mother of Bert Vanden Heuvel and his wife Patricia of Bracebridge, Jan Vanden Heuvel of Orono, John Vanden Heuvel of Nelson B.C., and Margaret and her husband Andy Hiemstra of Port Perry. Loving grandmother of David, Heather John and Heidi, Garry and Jacqui, Jonathan, Jeremy and Naomi-Lina, and Michelle and Stephen. Great-grandmother of Noah, Matthew, Samantha, Patricia and Stephanie. Predeceased by great-grandchildren Albert and Alexander. Friends were received at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, on Monday May 13th. A funeral service was held at Zion Christian Reformed Church (Adelaide and Central Park) on Tuesday May 14th. Interment MOUNT LAWN Memorial Gardens, Whitby. Memorial donations made to Christian Horizons would be appreciated by the family.

DEAN, Olive (nee Stanton) -
Olive Dean died peacefully at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on May 10, 2002 in her 98th year. Born in Port Stanton, Ontario, Olive made many friends in her homes in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Aurora. Predeceased by her husband Douglas Wesley Dean in 1974 and daughter Judith Ticehurst (Otterburn, Quebec) in 1989, Olive is survived by sister Vivian Fraser (Lindsay)and daughter Barbara and son-in-law Tom Rance of Uxbridge. She will be missed by grandchildren Susie, Doug, and Fred Rance (Debbie Voth), Tricia Michielin (Maico/Mike), Lynda Kroeker (Don), 4 delightful great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held Thursday, May 16th, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at the Low & Low Funeral Home chapel, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, Ontario.

(Graduated from Nurse's School - St. Joseph's Hospital, Sudbury - 1931; 1 year university in University of Ottawa - Advanced Nursing - 1963; While in Halifax was Associate Director of Children's Hospital; Supervisor, Nursery, Oshawa General Hospital since 1966). Peacefully, at Versa-Care, Uxbridge on Friday, May 10, 2002, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Edwin. Dearly loved and cherished mother of Lillian Smith of Port Perry. Devoted 'Nanny' to Jeffrey Smith and wife Catherine; Sally Rose and husband Doug; Donna Wetherill and husband Grant; Carolyn Smith and also devoted great-grandmother to Taylor, Rebecca, Desmond, Emily, Jenna, Robert and Jake. Dear sister of Yvonne, Jean, Jennie, Theresa, Bernie, Rita and the late Lou, Julie, and Silvio. Lovingly remembered by her niece Betty Hughes. Will be missed by her beloved cat 'Bijou'. Suddenly, on the afternoon of May 10, 2002, our beloved son returned to God. His sister Arielle will help us remember that he completed us. He leaves his grandparents Thomas and Sylvia Lynch together with Nexhmi and Alexandra Hoxha with imprints of his love, affection and eternal joy. We love you. Michael will always be with us.
