Entered into rest at Sunnycrest Nursing Home on Tuesday June 4, 2002 in her 78th year. Lillian, beloved wife of the late Arthur Henry Nelson. Loving mother of Philip. Dear grandmother of Shelly and Eldon. Dear sister of Florence Grant, Gordon, Leslie, Raymond, and the late Madeline Cowey, Edith Ewing, Olive Evans, Ralph, Ronald, and William. The family will receive friends atthe W. C. Town funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Friday. Service in the Chapel on Saturday June 8, 2002 at 11am. Interment , GROVESIDE cemetery , Brooklin.

VOS, Wilhelmina -
passed away peacefully with her family at her side, at her daughters home in Port Perry on Tuesday June 4, 2002 in her 83rd year. Wilhelmina Vos dearly beloved wife of 48 years to Tony Vos of Blackstock. Loving mother of Antoinette and her husband Ralph Jonathon, Rebecca Vos and predeceased by Winda Walsh. Dear Oma of Amanda, Amber, Ben, Joshua, Tyler, Brodie, Chantilly, Chase and Cameron. Dear sister of Coba, Sjean, Jo and predeceased by Reit and Nel. Friends may call at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Road, Port Perry, on Thursday June 6, 2002 from 2 to 4 and 7to 9 p.m. A complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday June 7, 2002 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Corporation, Oshawa on Monday June 3, 2002. Bernice Kelsh formerly of Sama Park - Havelock and Cordova Mines in her 85th year. Beloved mother of Judy McLaughlin and her husband Bob of Edmonton, Alberta; Joyce Jessup of Oshawa, Jeanne Hewitt and her husband John of Marmora and the late Joan Bennett. Mother-in-law of Tom Bennett of Whitby. "Nana" will be sadly missed by Kym, Kerry, Sandra, Rob, Shawn, John, Jeff, Kelli, Adam and 15 great-grandchildren. Sister of Geraldine Rose, Daisy Roche, Ruby Robinson, Doris Cole, Joyce Cairnes and the late Evelyn Steenburgh, Reg, Royce, Harold, Harry and Jack. Resting at the Brett "Havelock" Chapel, 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday. Service Friday at 1:00 pm, Reverend Pat Walsh officiating. Interment at a later date in Thornton cemetery , Oshawa. If desired donations may be made (by cheque only) to the Gideons or the Canadian Cancer Society.

At Lakeridge Health-Oshawa, on June 3rd, 2002 with his family by his side. Survived by his wife Sylvia and son Keith of Mississauga, Ontario, son of Harry Browne of Parksyjlle, B.C. and the late Evelyn Browne. Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE “Thornton Chapel” 847 King St., West (905-7214234) Cremation. At Harry’s request, there will be no service. In sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.

passed away last Monday at the Ballycliffe Nursing Lodge, Ajax, at the age of 87. A loving and devoted mother to son James and his family, and Dianne and her family. On Sunday, June 2, 2002, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 79. Wife of the late Cliff Beckett. Loving mother of Diane MacLean of Ashburn, Daniel Beckett and his wife Brenda of Tyrone, and Suzanne and her husband Eric Latino of Ashburn. Loved grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Agnes Phillips in BC and Christina Kane of Wolfe Island and she was predeceased by her 7 brothers Tony, Joe, Ralph, Al, Henry, Matthew and Barney. Relatives and friends will be received at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Tuesday from 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass for Dorothy Beckett will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1710 Scugog Street (Highway 7A) in Port Perry on Wednesday, June 5th at 10 a.m. with Father Bernard Canning officiating. Suddenly, at her residence on Sunday, June 2, 2002, at age 27. Lisa, beloved daughter of Noel and Denise Dunn of Seagrave. Loving granddaughter of Ada Donald and Joseph Dunn, both in Northern Ireland. Great niece of Florence Robbins in Northern Ireland. Special friend of Erin Maynard. FRANKLIN, Marilyn Joan –
Suddenly at Lakeridge Health, Port Perry, on Sunday, June 2, 2002. Marilyn is sadly missed by her daughter Laura. Sister of Bill, Dave, Dan, and Rick Hiscox, all of the Owen Sound area. KUNTZ, Emma -
passed away peacefully on June 2nd, 2002, at Extendicare, in her 94th year. She will be greatly missed by her children Dieter, Ilse, and their spouses Kathy and Bob; her grandchildren Todd, Krista, Kari, Byron, and their spouses; and her three great grandchildren Annika, Jayden, and Ethan. Many thanks to the staff at Extendicare Oshawa and her many loving friends. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East Oshawa. LARAINE Berry -
passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Sunday June 2nd, in her 53rd year. Beloved wife of Vince Berry and daughter of June and Jack Goodman. Laraine will be missed by her sister Frances, aunts Betty (Florida) June (New York) & Jean (England) and her cousins. She will also be sadly missed by her pets Lady, Millie, Jessie & Gizmo. Born in Erith, Kent, England she came to Canada with her parents in 1958. She worked as a crossing guard at the corner of Simcoe & Olive for many years and also worked recently for Oshawa Community Care. At Laraine's request, a private family service will be held at the scattering of her ashes. If desired, Memorial Donations may be made to the Oshawa Humane Society.

Gone to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ after a 10 month illness, on Sunday, June 2, 2002. Cindy, (nee Siblock), loved dearly by her husband Steve for 23 years and children Heather, Amber and Tyler. Beloved daughter of Tony and Olga Siblock, and dear sister of Renald and his wife Ruth Siblock and Alan and his wife Cindy Siblock. At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Sunday, June 2nd, 2002 James Wilson age 77 years (Veteran WWII - R.A.F). (Last surviving member of his Bomber Squadron). Beloved husband of Vivian (Vi) Wilson. Dear step-father to Mary and Valerie. Survived by his step-grandchildren, sister and a brother. He will be sadly missed by his godson Bruce and many friends in Wilmot Creek. A Funeral Service will be held in our Chapel at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N., Bowmanville, 1 p.m. Wednesday. Cremation. Memorial donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Cancer Society. A reception will be held at 2 p.m. in the Wheelhouse in Wilmot Creek.

April 15, 1913 - June 2, 2002 At Hillsdale Manor, Marion, beloved wife of the late George W. Wilson. Cherished mother of Paul Luke Wilson and his wife Maggie, of California and mother-in-law of Mary Ellen Wilson, of Oshawa. Loving grandmother of Conn and Joel Wilson, of Toronto, Kiel and Bryn Wilson, of California. Predeceased by her son, John Albert Wilson and brother, Gordon Pereman. Survived by twin sister Maxine Hoskin, of Port Perry, and Elsie Innes, of Brooklin. Cremation, followed by a memorial service at a later date. CLARK, William Eric -
Of Greenwood and Kinsale, Ontario, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2002 at the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre, with his wife Pearl (Fyke), son William David, and daughter Suzanne, at his side. Bill was a well known fiddler, blacksmith, farmer and 'Mr. Fix-it'. He is survived by his brother Alan of Greenwood, and predeceased by his sisters Dorothy (Jones) Sadler and Phyllis Piett. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at 1 p.m. Interment Salem cemetery. It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of James Albert Tanner (April 25, 1920 - July 31, 2002). Predeceased by his mother lsabell (BelIa) Tanner. Survived by his wife of 59 years Dorothy May Tanner (nee Missen) and his children James (Jacquelynn), Audrey (Keith), Ronald (Eileen), Judy (Tim), David and Edward. Cherished Poppa to Jason (Carissa), Clayton, Adam, Michelle (Peter), Tania, Becky and Mathew. Great-Poppa to Ashton, Shaelyn and Hunter. Fondly remembered by close family friends, Darlene, Andrew, Joanne, the Jackson, Henderson and Snell families.
