Age 82 years. At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Thursday July 18th, 2002. Beloved wife of the late Squadron Leader Ronald Hunt. Dear mother of Marni (Dwight) Stephens; Tish (Cliff) Robinson; Liz (Jim) Moore and the late Captain Garry J. Hunt. Loving grandmother of Christine, Samantha, Bill, Kathryn, Jacqui, Jesse, Emily & Sam. Dear sister of Marny Motyer & the late Bill MacKinnon. Mary cherished her extended family & her many friendships. Her life and ours were immeasurably enriched by her musical gifts. A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, July 23 at Trinity United Church, Bowmanville. Cremation. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society, Bowmanville Hospital or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home 53 Division St. N. Lovingly remembered by her great grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild expected soon. Dear sister of Weltha, Henry, Jimmy, Sue, Richard & Lorraine. Loving aunt to Allan & Charlene and her several nieces & nephews, great-aunt to Jeslene and Ruby. Visitation will take place at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville from 1pm Saturday until time of service 2pm in our Chapel. Cremation. Memorial donations may be made to The Liver Foundation.

(Veteran of WWII, Retired 40-year employee of CN Rail, and an active member of Newcastle Fellowship Baptist Church) – went home to be with the Lord, after a brief illness, on Thursday, July 18, 2002, at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, in his 80th year. Bill Zuhajewicz of Newtonville, beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Ketteringham). Loving father of William F. Zuhajewicz, Patti Venner, Judy Jamischak, the late Stephen Zuhajewicz, and beloved step-father of Gina Hewlett-Weiss, Jim Bowman, and Fran Craig. Dear grandfather of Lennard, Elizabeth, Dan, David, Brent, Darryl, Cory, Leanne, Terry, Mark, and the late Troy, and great-grandchildren Sebastian, Nathan, Emily, Joshua, Cameron, Tyler, Noah, Joshua, Jordan, and Lauren. Brother of John Evans and Mary Romano. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. (just north of 401 at the lights) on Friday from 7-9 p.m., Saturday from 7-9 p.m., Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. A Baptist funeral service will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church (Hwy 2 and Lambs Rd., Bowmanville) on Monday, July 22, at 11:00 a.m. Interment Lakeview cemetery , Newtonville. In Bill’s memory donations in lieu of flowers to the Newcastle Fellowship Baptist Church Building Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by his family.

Peacefully passed away on July 17, 2002 at the Ross Memorial Hospital (Lindsay) in her 83 year. Beloved wife of the late Frank. Loving mother of Robert and his wife Shirley, John and his wife Theresia and Leonard and his wife Linda. Cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren and great grandmother to eleven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road Ajax on Thursday July 18 2002 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The service will be held on Friday July 19, 2002 at 10 a.m. Interment at GROVESIDE cemetery. Should family and friends so desire, donations to Heart and Stroke or Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.

COLBY, Dulcie Beryl (nee Peters) -
In her 86th year after a lengthy illness passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on July 17th, 2002. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence Colby and her brother Clement Peters. Dulcie will be sadly missed by her sister and only family relative Vivienne N. Watts (nee Peters), brother-in-law Claude Watts, nephews Douglas B. Watts and Gregory C. Watts and their families. Dulcie lived in Uxbridge, Ontario for the past 73 years and was a highly regarded music consultant with the Durham Board of Education till her retirement in 1981. In 1951 she formed theDulcie Colby Boys Choir from students in the Durham area. The choir was very successful, performing at churches, Kiwanis festivals, Massey Hall (Toronto) and many official ceremonies until being disbanded in 1959. She was very proud to be made an honorary member of the Federation of Women Teachers of Ontario and being one of the three music specialists who wrote a music teaching series for schools called "Canada is Music". Funeral Services will be held in the chapel at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge 23 Main Street South on Saturday, July 20th, 2002 at 2 p.m. Visitation, Friday, July 19th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. I nterment, Uxbridge cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Complex Continuing Care Fund of the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation or Uxbridge Community Care.

At her residence in Oshawa on Wednesday July 17, 2002. Margaret Eadie born on March 12, 1919 in London, England, beloved wife of the late Alexander Eadie. Loving mother of John Roberts Eadie, Charles Edward Eadie and his wife Christine and Douglas William Eadie and his wife Marion. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Sarah Jane LaBell, Pepper Martine Eadie, Michael Gregory Eadie and by her great grandchildren: Brooklyn Leanne Eadie and Shauna LaBell. Peacefully after a brief illness, on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 77. Ned Banton of Port Perry, beloved husband of Joyce (nee Hill). Cherished father of Donna and her husband Louis Volf, Debbie Peterson, and David Banton (deceased) and his wife Sue. Devoted grandfather of Carolyn and her husband Guido, Allan, Stephen and his wife Tammy, Michelle and Krystal, and great grandfather of Christopher, Brittney and Madison. Dear brother of George, Lorraine, Gord, Eva, Shirley, Marilyn and the late Bill, Joyce and John. Peacefully at home with her family by her side in her 86th year on Tuesday, July 16, 2002, Florence Isabel (Hooper) Giffen of Niagara Falls. Beloved wife of 64 years to John (Jack) Giffen. Dearly loved mother of Marilyn (Don) Monteith of London, Marg (Tom) Tkach and Gord (Linda) Giffen all of Niagara Falls. Loving grandmother of Tom (Lourdes), Sandra, Donny, Doug (Lorraine), Kurt (Julie), Mark (Denise), Lynn and Heather and great grandmother of ten. Dear sister of Art (Lil) Hooper of Newcastle. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Giffen was born and raised in Bowmanville, Ontario. Cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church. (Parking in municipal lot on Kitchener Street).
