SAY, Hilda -
passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on July 29, 2004 in her 87th year. Hilda, beloved wife of the late Charles. Dear mother of Ray and his wife June, and Vicki Butler and her husband Ray Dewitt. Loving grandmother of Rick and his wife Val, Nancy, Tracy and her husband Paul, and Jeff and his wife Yvonne, and great grandmother of Jamie Leigh, Evin, Ethan, Khalem, Hailey and Emily.

APPLETON, Andrew Richard -
Peacefully, after a short illness, on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 70. Andrew Appleton of Port Perry, beloved husband of Verna (nee Hicks). Loving father of Dianne Davison of Port Perry, Ron Appleton of Port Perry, and Janet and her husband John Gauvin of Woodstock. Cherished grandfather of Leanne and Mark, Jenna, Laura, Kim, James, and Jessica. Loved son of the late Charlie and Jean Appleton of Myrtle. Dear brother of Susanne and her husband Al Sollows of BC, Dorothy and her husband Ken Waltham of Brooklin, Bill Appleton and his wife Heather of Toronto, and Edward 'Pat' Appleton (deceased). He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. The family of Andrew Appleton will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 'McDermott-Panabaker Chapel', 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, July 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, July 31st at 11 a.m. Private interment GROVESIDE cemetery , Brooklin. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry.

BREARLEY, Margaret -
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville, on Wednesday, July 28, 2004, in her 89th year. Margaret Brearley, predeceased by William Litherland. Loving mother of George and his wife Joan, and Shirley. Dear grandmother of Allan, Denise, and predeceased by Laurie. Great-grandmother of Kristin, Christopher, Carly and Garnett.

KIRK, Lillian M.G. (nee Wilson) -
Long time Whitby resident, Lillian, a loving Christian went to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep on July 28, 2004 at Fairview Lodge in Whitby in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband James R. Kirk (Jimmy) in 1984, and her second son Ronald D. of Port Hope in 1996. Will lovingly be remembered by her son Robert J. and his wife Lorraine F. of Whitby, daughter Nancy B. Jansen and her husband Casey of Newtonville, Ronald's wife Dianne of Cobourg and sons Daniel W. of Oshawa, and Peter R. of Port Credit. Also remembered by 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Lillian served in the C.W.A.C. during World War II, Member of the Orange Lodge, and long time member of the Salvation Army. Many thanks to the staff and the many volunteers of Fairview Lodge. In lieu of flowers donations to the Red Shield Missions of the Salvation Army would be appreciated.

WILURA, John -
Suddenly following surgery on Wednesday July 28, 2004 at St. Michael's Hospital Toronto at the age of 82. John, beloved husband of Ludmila. Loved father of Vera Wilura and the late Nestor Wilura (1984). Brother in law of Kathryn Klecan and her husband Henry. Uncle of Henry Klecan and his wife Danilia, and Edward Klecan and his wife Anita. Grand uncle of Julia, Philip, Mark, Daniel and Christopher. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (Corner of Albert and Lviv) on Saturday July 31st at 10:30 a.m. Panachyda will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Interment St. Wolodymyr & St. Olha cemetery , Courtice. Memorial donations to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated. Visitation Friday 6 - 9 p.m.

BRAKE, Joseph -
passed away at Fairview Lodge, Whitby, on Sunday June 27, 2004 in his 88th year. Dear father of Lillian, Florence and husband Jim Hughes, Woody and wife Darlene, Bob and wife Bonnie, Jeanne and husband Hrant Maroukian, Patricia Henry and the late Anthony, grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 8. Joe will also be sadly missed by his close personal friend Jessie Arnold, and his step-sister Jackie Campbell. Visitation was held at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, on Tuesday June 29, 2004 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and the service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday June 30, 2004 with interment at Resurrection cemetery , Whitby. Donations in memory of Joe may be made to a Charity of choice.

HANLEY Xavier Joseph -
At Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on Tuesday, July 27th, 2004. Xavier, beloved son of Tara Hanley and Richard King. Loving grandson of Wayne and Susan Hanley of Oshawa and Steve and Maisy Smith of Ajax. Great grandson of Don and Val Wood of Oshawa and the late Claude Hanley. Nephew of Erin Hanley of Oshawa. A private graveside service was held at Thornton cemetery Friday, July 30, 2004. KING, Charles T. -
Formerly of Whitby, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, in his 86th year. He was a partner in King Bros. Tannery, served on the Town Council, and was active in Rotary for many years. His wife Ann predeceased him in 2001. Loving father of Mona, Paul and Leon. Devoted grandfather of 7. Brother of Ruth King and the late Oda Pritzker. Funeral service was held at Holy Blossom Temple, in Toronto, on Thursday, July 29, 2004. Donations may be made to the Charles T. Survived by a sister Wanda Sinkey & predeceased by brother Williamson Ward. Brother-in-law of Louisa Henderson. Born February 17th, 1913 in Scotland. passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 27th, 2004 in Oshawa. Annie, beloved wife of the late Cyril Petroff. Dear mother of Susan and her husband Patrick Mockler. Grandmother to Ian Mockler and Joanna and David Kurowski. Great Grandmother to Matthew Kurowski. Lovingly remembered by all. passed away Peacefully at her residence with her family by her side on Tuesday July 27th 2004 in her 68th year. Peggy wife of Alvin Schrader. Loving mother of Rick Dunn and his wife Cathy, Mike Dunn and his wife Yanis, Brad Dunn and his wife Susan, Lynn Dunn, Sandy Clarry and her husband Dave, Jennifer Eppel and her husband Mike, Jason Schrader and dear grandmother of 14 wonderful grandchildren. Sister of Patti Callaghan, Phyllis Isuruda and her husband Sam, Jimmy Callaghan and survived by step-father Joe Callaghan. (Peggy retired after 27 years with Canada Post and was the first female letter carrier in Oshawa). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
