Armstrong, Thomas Edwin (Ed)
October 8th 1935 – July 9th 2013

Predeceased by his son Kenneth (Sharon). He leaves to mourn his loving wife Margaret (nee Cawthra), son Kyle (Erin) and daughter Vyvan (Kevin). Devoted Grandfather to Kol, Ryan, Kayla, Emily, Tiegan, Nathan, Kyle, Kendall and Olivia. Great Grandpa to Declan and Annaka. Honorary grandpa to William, Elizabeth. His faithful companions Hamish and Farrah. Ed met Margaret, his wife of over 55 years at Lake Katepwa. He spent his early years as navigator on CF-100’s with the RCAF and never got over his love for airplanes. He later moved on to Honeywell and Bull. Ed’s colorful stories and unreserved appetite for life will be sadly missed by all the people who crossed his path. Visitation will be from 3:00-4:00pm on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Low & Low Funeral Home Uxbridge (23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, ON (905) 852-3073). Service to follow at 4:00pm in the Chapel. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations to the Uxbridge Animal Shelter be made.

Gloria Francis Paradine (nee McGuckin)
December 15, 1938 – February 15, 2013

With her family by her side, in her 74th year, Gloria was suddenly and sorrowfully taken from us in the early morning of February 15, 2013. She was the beloved wife and best friend to Keith for the past 53 years, the loving and protective mother of Greg (Deanna) and Tracey (Ron) and devoted grandma to her most cherished possessions; Shannon, Tysen and Joshua. She was always the first to call on a friend in need, forever concerned about others, and never one to ask for help herself, Gloria touched the hearts and lives of many people throughout her life. The family takes solace that her memory will be carried on by all who were fortunate enough to know her and to say she will be sadly missed is an understatement. There will be a celebration of Gloria’s life on Friday July 19, 2013 at Low & Low Funeral Home Uxbridge (23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, ON (905) 852-3073). Visitation will take place from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. A Memorial Service will begin at 2:00pm. There will be a gathering at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre, 75 Marietta Street at 3:00pm following the service. For those who wish, a memorial donation may be made in lieu of flowers to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Sick Kids Hospital.

Blow, William (Bill)

passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Saturday, July 6, 2013. Loving partner of Wendy Pascoe. Devoted father of Ryan, Jenna, and Howie. Stepfather of Cheryl (Brad), and Jodi. Cherished grandfather of Ava, and Logan. Beloved son of Carol Smith, and Laurie Smith (Mona). Predeceased by sister Sharon (Marty) McConnel. Brother of Karen (Glen) Hammond, Sandy (Frank) Hill, Brien Blow, Pat (John) MacLennan, Cathy (Howie) Jones, Jeff Gardner, Ruth Bois (Steve), Paul (Donna) Iveson, Brent (Suzi) Smith, and Melanie Smith (Mike). Bill will also be sadly missed by his father and mother-in-law Jim and Mary Redshaw, his sister-in-law Darlene Morrison (John), and his many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Low & Low Funeral Home 1763 Reach St., Port Perry (905) 985-7331 on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Bill will be held in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, or charity of choice.

Phillips, Tiina

passed away peacefully at her home in Stouffville on Tuesday June 25, 2013 at the age of 49. Tiina Phillips leaves behind her long time friend Dave Harris. Beloved mother of Sara and Devon Phillips and predeceased by son Tommi Phillips-Koskinen. Dear daughter of Sara Scott and sister of Sari and Tom Koskinen. Tiina will be sadly missed by Adam Auld who was like a son to her. A memorial visiting will be held at the Claremont Legion on Saturday, July 6, 2013 from 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Claremont Legion would be appreciated. Lenarduzzi, Bruno

On Thursday, June 27th, 2013 in his 87th year, Bruno Lenarduzzi passed away peacefully at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, after a short illness. Bruno was predeceased by his parents, Norma Biancini and Achille Lenarduzzi, his much loved brother, Rino (Audrey), and his beloved son, David (Diane). He leaves behind to grieve his passing his wife Shirley (Nase), daughters Kim (Dan Bogan) and Lori (Mike Sule). He will be truly missed by his loved grandchildren, Thomas Bogan (Melanie), Daniel Bogan (Helene), Ryan Bogan (Paige), Brooke Sule, Leeha Lenarduzzi and Carley Sule, and three great-grandchildren, Mallory, Eli and Malcolm. Family and friends will be received at Low & Low Funeral Home, (23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, Ontario), on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday. A celebration of Bruno’s life will be held in the chapel of Low & Low Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013. Interment at Foster Memorial cemetery with reception to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation.

Clarkson, Mitchell

passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 26th, 2013 at his home. Much loved son of Nicole and Stan Clarkson. Forever remembered by brothers Gary and Kyle. Cherished grandson to his Nanna and Grammie. Mitchell will also be terribly missed by his many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Visitation will take place at Low & Low Funeral Home Uxbridge (23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, ON (905)852-3073) on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 10:00am-11:00am. Yake, Helen Marie
March 10, 1939 - June 20, 2013

On the bright, sunny day of June 20, 2013, in her 75th year, Helen passed away peacefully at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital after a truly courageous battle with cancer. Helen leaves behind her husband of 54 years Watson, her sons Ron (Alison) and Scott (Nancy), her five beloved grandchildren Brandon, Brett, Alexandra (Ron), Samuel, and Stephanie (Scott) as well as her dear mother Ruby (Paradine), brother Don (Paradine), and sister Karen (Hooper). Helen is predeceased by her father Ernest (Paradine) and her brother Bruce (Paradine). Helen leaves behind many beloved family and friends, and her family is grateful for the loving care and support that she and her family received from the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital and the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital over the past few weeks. Family and friends will be received in the chapel of Low & Low Funeral Home at 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, Ontario(905)852-3073 on Saturday July 6, 2013 from 1p.m. to 2 p.m. A celebration of Helen’s life will be held in the chapel at 2pm. Butler, Edward Patrick (Ed)

passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Port Perry on Wednesday June 19, 2013. Ed Butler dearly beloved husband of Patricia of Port Perry. Loving father of Brian (Debbie deceased), Trevor, Kelly (Allan) Honey, and predeceased by Gregory. Dear grandfather of Sheena, Tonya, Erica, Megan, Isla and Laura. Ed is survived by his brother Raymond and predeceased by 2 sisters and 5 brothers and will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. passed away on June 11, 2013 at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital at the age of 79. Husband of 54 years to Yvonne. Father to Brad and Stan (Andrea and family). Forsythe, James

passed away peacefully at home on June 10, 2013 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Margaret. Father to James (Leslie), Anne (Malcolm), and Mary Jean (Ken). Grandfather to Andrew, Lindsay, Scott, James, and Daniel. A Memorial Service for James will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Shobrook Gardens, 1 Elgin Park Dr., Uxbridge at 2:00pm. Higginson, Jack Robert
April 13, 1936 - June 6, 2013

In the early hours of June 6, 2013, in his 78th year, Jack passed away peacefully, and courageously at Lakeridge Health Oshawa surrounded by his loving family. Jack leaves behind his wife of 55 years Sandra (nee Norris), his sons Dan (Joanne Laws) and Brad, and two granddaughters Alyssa (Nick) and Blythe. Predeceased by his parents Matthew and Violet (nee Downes), and his sister Joan. Jack leaves behind many beloved family and friends, and is grateful for the loving care and support that he and his family received from his niece Lesley. The family thanks Jack’s friends for their generous support and acknowledges the loving and professional care received at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Acute Cardiac Care Unit.
