Bode, Hannelore

Went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, in her 65th year. Loving sister-in-law of Anne Bode. Aunt to Melanie, Corinne, Renée, and Sarah. Beloved great “Aunt Nini” to Daphne, Julia, and Hanna. Hannelore is predeceased by her father Fritz Bode, and step fathers Hermann Klistcher and Norman Fockler, by her mother Johanna Fockler, and by her siblings Ewald Bode and Ruth Peckham. Hannelore will be sorely missed by her extended family. Family and Friends were received at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S, Uxbridge (905) 852 - 3073 on Sunday July 18, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A funeral service was held at the Uxbridge Baptist Church, 231 Brock St. W. Uxbridge (905) 852 - 3662 on Monday July 19, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. with visiting from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. If desired memorial donations may be made to Vivian Baptish Church or to Focus on the Bible.

Fish, Doreen

passed away with her family by her side at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa on Sunday July 11, 2010 in her 80th year. Doreen Fish dearly beloved wife of Peter Fish of Sonya. Loving mother of Gregory (Trish) Fish, Jennifer (Terry) Hughson, Peter Kevin Fish and Denise Fish. Dear grandmother of Tyler, Jordan, Matthew, Hayden, Erin and Colin. Doreen is predeceased by her parents Victor and Ida (Tot) Hayden and her siblings Tom, Marie, Joan, Faye and Danny. Doreen will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends were received at the Low and Low Funeral Home 1763 Reach St., Port Perry on Tuesday July 13, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service was held in the chapel on Wednesday July 14, 2010 at 2 p.m. Interment Sunderland cemetery. Sherwood, Luke Kenneth

It is with great sadness and pain that we announce the death of our new born son Luke on Thursday July 8, 2010 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Dearly loved son of Ken and Simone (nee Clarkson) of Greenbank. Dear grandson of Allan and Lila Clarkson and John Sherwood and the late Edna Sherwood. Luke will always be remembered by aunt Margaret, aunt Tracey and uncle Jeremy , aunt Jamie-Lynn and uncle Kevin and his cousins Tina, Patrick, Charlotte, Alex and Lily. Family and friends were received at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach St., Port Perry, (905) 985-7331 on Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 12 to 1 p.m. A funeral service was held in the chapel on Thursday July 15, 2010 at 1 p.m. with a reception following at the family home. McGuire, Brian Alexander

passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Lakeridge Health in Port Perry on Thursday, July 8, 2010 in his 75th year. Brian, beloved husband and soulmate to Rose for 32 years. Lovingly remembered by his girls Tina (Peter) Russell of Caesarea, Debbie (Csaba Barbarics) Dow of Oshawa and son-in-law Glen Dow. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren David, Leah and Hayley. Survived by his sister Cherry (Tony) Headley and their children Tracey (Iain) Lowe and Euan (Claire) Stewart and their families of Scotland. Survived by his estranged children Mandy, Scott and Dawn and their families. Brian a 40 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion and Life Member, strived to uphold the purposes and objects of the Royal Canadian Legion throughout, holding Executive positions at Branch 213, Branch 286 and Branch 419. Brian was a staunch advocate of Veterans and Seniors affairs. He will be sadly missed by his friends and comrades. At the request of the family no funeral service will take place. A celebration of Brian’s life will take place at the Port Perry Legion, Branch 419 at 484 Bay Street, Port Perry on Sunday, August 8, 2010 from 2 to 4 p.m. In Brian’s memory memorial donations to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Port Perry, on Saturday, July 3, 2010 in her 84th year. Eileen Murdoch, dearly loved wife of the late John Murdoch of Uxbridge. Loving father of Susan Murdoch and her husband Phillip Schwab. A Celebration of John and Eileen’s Lives was held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Quaker Valley Farm, Uxbridge. Fraser, Verna Arlene

passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the Quinte Hospital in Bancroft on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Gerald Dodd. Survived by her brother Harry Hill. Loving mother of Ken (Sandra), Keith (Janet), Sandra (Shawn) Campbell, George (Barb), Randy (Debbie) and predeceased by Carol. Fondly remembered by her 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A special thank you to all the nurses at Quinte Hospital and Dr. Peter McEnery for the excellent care she received. McTavish, Sandy

It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of a beloved husband, father and papa. With dignity and grace Sandy passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 2:35 a.m. in the pediatric ward at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, ON. Sandy died peacefully surrounded by his favorite people in the whole wide world. On the hospital room ceiling was the symbolic sheep jumping the fence, obviously crossing over to the other side. Sandy is survived by his wife Sally, his sons Steve (Kasia) and Scott (Amanda), his granddaughters Morgan Sierra and Gracie Elizabeth (Papa’s precious little grand girls), his grandsons Russyl, Nicholas and Ben, his sisters Janet (Floyd), Donna (Larry), Laurie (Ron), Susan, his brothers David (Elizabeth) and Rob (Deb), and his many four legged friends. Predeceased by his father Duncan, his mother Evelyn, his sister Heather (Fred) and his brother Dunc (Susan).
Family and friends were received at the Low and Low Funeral Home 23 Main St. South Uxbridge (905) 852 – 3073 on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life was held in the chapel on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Greenbank United cemetery.
Special thanks to Ross Memorial Hospital, Durham Regional Cancer Centre, Reverend Paul Moorehouse, and the fantastic friends and relatives.

Peacefully with his family by his side at the Port Perry Hospital on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the age of 80. Nelson, beloved husband of Annie for 60 years. Lovingly remembered by his children Gail (Jim) Sherwood of Kingston, Kathy (Mark) Thompson of Oshawa, Judith (deceased), and Karen (deceased). Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jennifer, Shawn, Stacy, Kevin, Nicole, Matthew and great grandchildren Steven, Hanna, Taylor, Austin, Cassidy and Rylan. Survived by his brothers Gerald (Margaret) of Winnipeg and Patrick (Patricia) of Newfoundland. Nelson will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wilson, Millie

passed away after a short illness at Norfolk General Hospital in Simcoe on Thursday, June 24, 2010 in her 86th year. Millie Wilson (Mildred McBurney) beloved wife of the late Karl Wilson. Loving mother of Linda Webber of Calgary and Paul (Monica) Webber of Port Perry. Dear grandmother of Anne (Chuck) Hixon of Haggersville, Jennifer Webber of Port Perry and great grandmother of Katie, Colin and Adam Hixon. Millie will be sadly missed by her brother Albert (Jean) McBurney, sister-in-law Dale (George) Wark, Mary Wilson and nieces and nephews. At Millie's request a gathering of friends was held at the Hyde and Mott Chapel 60 Main Street, South, Hagersville, Ontario (905) 768-5733 on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.

Babcock, Kohwyn Kenneth Brydon

Tragically while in his loving home our chubby bunny restfully sleeping passed away in Oshawa on Sunday, June 20, 2010. Kohwyn, beloved son of Lindsay and John. Cherished and adored grandson of Don and Maureen Lloyd, Brian and Sharon Hall, and Dave and Diane Lessor. Lovingly remembered by his great-grandmothers Anne Watchorn, Anne Johnson, and great great grandmother Alma Abel. Fondly remembered by his aunts and uncles Jeremy (Mandy) and their son Brayden Hall, Danielle (Brad) and their daughters Makayla and Tanis Rydzik, Rick Golden and great aunt and uncle Kim and Ken Wilson. Kohwyn will also be sadly missed by his large extended family. “He will never be forgotten, we will think of him and love him for the rest of our lives”.

Beattie, Margaret Roberta Janet
(nee Gamble)

passed away peacefully at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on Saturday, June 19, 2010 in her 87th year with family in attendance. Loving wife of Nelson for 57 years. Beloved mother of Donna, Connie (Robert), Allister (Lori) and Bernice. Proud grandmother of Zackary (Heather), Jillian, Levon, Elliot, Jeremy, Clara, Ethan and Brennan. Great grandmother of Wyatt and Clinton. Margaret will be remembered for her community services, her generosity and her great smile. Despite many years of battling M.S., she maintained a loving and caring personality. Rest in peace. A Visitation was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. South, Uxbridge (905) 852 - 3073 on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with visiting from 1:00 – 2:00p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the M.S.
