Noakes, Eleanor

Peacefully went home to be with the Lord she loved on Thursday, March 12, 2009 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of Gord Noakes (predeceased) and loving mother of Robert (Joann), David (Sheila), Richard (Lina) and Ken (Laurie). Eleanor will be dearly missed by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service to celebrate Eleanor's life was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home 23 Main Street South Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one-hour prior. In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice if you so desire.

Carson, Lorne

passed away suddenly in his home on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Erma for 60 years. Loving father of Robert (Irma), Brian (Donna), Carol (Steve) Chapman, William (Donna), and Rick (Jody). Devoted grandfather of Shelby, Tyler, Chris, Joshua, Candice, and Clayton. Survived by his brothers Lloyd (Sandy), Norman (Mary), and sister-in-law Nina (Bill) Gregan. Lorne was a friend to everyone who met him. A visitation was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home 23 Main Street South Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Monday, March 30, 2009 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass was held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (70 Toronto Street North, Uxbridge) on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charles H. Best.

Roane, Clive

passed away peacefully at his home in Port Perry with his family by his side on Thursday, March 19, 2009 in his 72 nd year. Clive Roane dearly beloved husband and best friend of Audrey Roane. Loving father of Kurt and his wife Lorraine, Kim and her husband Andy and Kipp and his wife Holly. Dear Papa of Alyssa, Caylin, AJ, Taylor, Nathan, Liam, Chris, Julie and Adam. Clive will be sadly missed by his sister Charmaine Beck of Australia and he is predeceased by his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Mr. Roane will be sadly missed by his family and many many friends. Family and friends called at the Low & Low Funeral Home 1763 Reach St., Port Perry (905) 985-7331 on Sunday, March 29, 2009 from 1 to 3 p.m. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Clive Roane was held in the chapel on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at 3 p.m. Memorial donations to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

Johnstone, Larry

passed away peacefully at the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry on Sunday March 15, 2009 in his 67 th year. Larry Johnstone dearly beloved husband and best friend of Coreen Johnstone of Raglan. Loving father of Jodie and her husband Chris Duff and Jeff and his wife Wendy Johnstone. Dear grandfather of Jordan, Travis and Jamie-Lynne. Dear brother of Lanny (Jane) Johnstone, Phyllis (Glenn) Mosier, Betty (Garry) Langford and Judy Campkin. Larry will be sadly missed by his brother in laws, sister in laws , nieces, nephews and many friends. Family and friends called at the Low & Low Funeral Home 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry (905) 985-7331 on Tuesday March 17, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A complete funeral service was held in the chapel on Wednesday March 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation followed. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

Henry, Wilbur Anthony

passed away on March 10, 2009 in his 84 th year at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital with his family at his side. Loving husband of Myrna, father of David (Jan) and Sandra (Roy), grandfather (Poppa) to Sarah, Elissa and Ken, great grandfather to Ezra. The Memorial Celebration of Will's Life will be held at the Udora Community Centre on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.

Howard, Philip Mitchell

passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. In his 89 th year. Survived by his loving wife Lu of 62 years. Beloved father of Paul and his wife Donna of Smith Falls, John and his wife Nicole of London, and Cathy and her husband Neil Bacon of Port Perry. Devoted grandfather of Shannon, Andrew (Jeanne), Jordan, Jessica and her husband Shiraz, Brendan, Jocelyn, Katie, Jamie, and Tiffany. Survived by his sister Kathleen and her daughters Gill and Jan of Newport, Wales, and his sister-in-law Flo of Calgary. Phil was an officer of the British Army, long time engineer at Rolls Royce and consulting engineer. Visitation was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service was held at Uxbridge Baptist Church (231 Brock Street West, Uxbridge) on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation.

Philips, Isabella Murray (Nee: Grierson)

passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, March 14, 2009 in her 90 th year. Beloved wife of the late Albert Simon Philips. Loving mother of Suzanne and her husband Corrie Norley. Survived by her sister Elizabeth Oliver of Melbourne, Australia and her brother James Grierson of Hawick, Scotland. Cremation has taken place. Private family service will be held in the spring. In Isabella's memory, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Harrison, Marion Taylor (Nee: Mustard)

passed away peacefully at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in her 90 th year. Beloved wife of Ross for 64 years. Loving mother of Garry (Yvonne), Gail (Dave) Smith, and Gwen (John) Scott. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Helen Clark and Isobel St. John and predeceased by her brother Mac Mustard. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's Leaskdale Church (12251 Regional Road # 1, Leaskdale (905) 852-5921) on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one-hour prior. In Marion's memory donations may be made to St. Paul's Leaskdale Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Beach, Frank Ernest

Frank passed away suddenly due to complications after surgery at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Barb (nee Brown) for 41 years. Loving father of Tanya (Anthony). He will be sadly missed by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Ron (Lisa), Gary (Heather), Neil (Bev), Danny (Tracy), Tammy (Peter) Arts, Candy, and Marty (Ashley). Dear nephew of Erie Bolton. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Bullerwell, Margaret Hilda (Peggy)

Peggy, resident of Uxbridge Ontario, suddenly passed away at York Central Hospital on Saturday, March 7, 2009 in her 80 th year. She was born on May 25, 1929 and was the loving wife of the late Vernon (Slim) Bullerwell. Dearly beloved mother of Donna and husband Lewis Warren, David, Terry and his wife Marilyn, Barry and predeceased by son Tim. Missed by grandchildren Dawn Marie and Lisa in Toronto, Jonathan (Josh) in Brampton, Tanya and Sheena in British Columbia, David Jr. in Alberta and Christine in Uxbridge. Remembered by brothers Larry, Don, and Terry Massey and their families residing in Edmonton, Alberta. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, brother-in-law Charlie and sisters-in-law Velma and Harriet Bullerwell in Nova Scotia and Audrey Bullerwell of London, Ontario, and closest niece Marion Smith in Uxbridge. A Memorial Service was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Donations in memory of Peggy to the Uxbridge Library or to a Charity of your choice would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.

McKee, Carson

Peacefully on March 7, 2009 in his 80th year in Uxbridge. Dearly missed by his loving wife, Mary (nee Moffat) and his daughters Christine Gunn and Heather Wager and sons-in law Tom Gunn and Robert Wager. Remembered fondly and lovingly by his 2 grandchildren, Jonathon and Caitlin. Predeceased by his brother Bill McKee. Carson was a devoted elementary school teacher for 34 years and touched the lives of many with his passion to teach kids. A Memorial Service was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S., Uxbridge, Ont. on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., preceded by a visitation at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff at ReachView Village Nursing Home for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.

Gray, Randy

On February 28, at the young age of 57, Randy lost his courageous fight with cancer. Randy was a pioneer in the swimming pool industry. His entrepreneurial spirit brought him great professional success. Randy was also fortunate enough to have great personal success in raising a tight knit, loving family. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Judy, his children: Jennifer (Brad), Scott (Susan) & Nicole (Kevin), his grandchildren: Mason & Elizabeth, his parents: Norm & Doreen, along with his brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews. Randy's huge heart and love of people created an extended family that needs to be thanked for their endless support. The family held a memorial service for friends and family on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Mill Run Golf Course, located at 269 Durham Road 8 in Uxbridge. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Markham-Stouffville Hospital, Oncology Department who provided the family and Randy with so much support over the last year.

Marcellus, Jane

passed away at Princess Gardens Retirement Residence in Peterborough on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the age of 87. Jane Marcellus wife of the late Ken Marcellus. Loving mother of Stuart and his wife Elaine Marcellus and the late David Marcellus. Jane will be sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Judi Marcellus. Dear grandmother of Cindy, Steven, Jeff and Jamie. Mrs. Marcellus will be missed by her great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. At the request of her family no funeral service will be held. Cremation. Malyon, Bruce

passed away at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on Sunday, February 22, 2009, in his 82 nd year. Beloved husband of Verna for 56 years. Loving father of Ken (Andrea) of Port Perry and Donna (Gerald) Ginther of Surrey, B.C.. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Lauren, Zachary, Joshua, Kristen and Bryana. Lovingly remembered by his brother Morley (Joyce) Malyon of Unionville. Family and friends attended the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 for visitation on Friday, February 27, 2009 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service was held in the chapel on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. In Bruce's memory donations may be made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital or the Parkinson's Society.
