GARDINER, Annette (nee Anastasia Stefaniuk) -
(Past Figure Skating Teaching Professional at the Granite Club, Double Rink Arenas and the Pickering Skating Club).
Annette went peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at the age of 75. Annette left this earth to join her husband and soul mate Fred Gardiner, and her dear brothers John and Nick Stefaniuk and her parents Katherine and Matthew Stefaniuk. Annette had a remarkable life, she was a woman who was never selfish and cared deeply for her family and friends. She has left a void in our hearts that we hope to fill with her mewories and wisdom. Annette will never be far away from those she loved and cherished, her son Kevin and his wife Anne, Jim and his wife Marilyn, and her daughter Diane Gale and her partner Ron Pilkey. Annette's greatest pride and deepest joy were her grandchildren, Daniel Gardiner and his fiancee Michelle Desormeaux, Rebecca Gardiner, Ryan Gale, Jeremy, Marsha, Marissa and Jonathan Gardiner. Annette was called 'Nana' by them, and when they called her 'Nana', it was such an expression of the gentle and unconditional love that they felt for her. Annette will be missed by her brother Bill Stefaniuk, and sisters Mary Liskowich, Anne Nelder and many nieces and nephews and especially her younger sister Elsie Stephanie who has been very loving, caring and supportive of Annette and our family and we are eternally grateful. Family and friends may call at the Accettone Funeral Home, on Friday, April 23, 2004 from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
