GORDENSKY, Denise Anne (nee Forbes) -
passed away peacefully on Monday, April 5th, 2004 at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa following a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 61 years. Beloved wife of the late Wally Gordensky. Dear mother of Kim and Michael. Devoted Nanny of Shannon and Robbie. Beloved daughter-in-law of Mary (Baba). Lovingly remembered by her family Brian, Sonya, Bob, Deanna, Doris, Ed, Paul and Brenda and many nieces, nephews and friends. She will be forever in our hearts and thoughts, forever loved and sadly missed. Special thanks to the caring and thoughtful nursing staff on the Palliative Care Ward at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE “Thornton Chapel” 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Thursday, April 8th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 P.M. and Saturday, April 10th from 2 – 4 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Ave.) on Monday, April 12th at 10:30 A.M. Interment Thornton cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of Denise may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

HUSBAND, Patricia -
Suddenly, after a brief illness, on Monday, April 5, 2004 at Southlake Hospital, Newmarket at the age of 71. Pat leaves her son David (Diane), and daughters Mary Crystal (Lyle), Linda Graham (David), Jackie Molica (Tino), and the girls Kathy and Darlene. Grandchildren Michael, Daniel, Darren, Misty, Samantha, Anthony and 3 great-grandchildren. Brother Gord Morris (Doris), and sisters Betty Bakker (Rudy) and Peggy Daniels (Bill). Pat lived life to the fullest enjoying her winters in Mexico and her summers at the trailer at Young's Point. Her infectious laugh, sense of humour and her feistiness will live on in our hearts and memories. Heartfelt thanks go to the wonderful nurses and staff, Drs. Nathanson and McKinnon of Southlake Hospital, Newmarket and her physician Dr. Noland of Colborne, the staff at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Oshawa and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43, Oshawa. Honouring Pat's wishes, a celebration of her life will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43, 471 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa. Friends may call during the hours of 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Monday, April 12th. Memorial donations made to either the Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Durham Lung Association would be appreciated by the family and can be made at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-4711).

LOGAN, Gwendolyn Millie –
(Employee of Hunt’s Bakery, Loblaws Oshawa Shopping Centre, for 14 years; immigrated from England to Oshawa in 1960).
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Whitby, on Monday, April 5, 2004, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Adam Bell Logan. Loving mother of Dorothy Nickerson of Whitby, David Edward Logan and his wife Patricia of Santa Monica, California, and Gaye and her husband Clifford (Kiffy) Dixon of New Brunswick. Sadly missed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of John Walters of Berwick-on-Tweed, England. Survived by nieces and nephews in England. She will always be remembered for her love of traveling. Following cremation, a family memorial service will be held at a later date. Peacefully, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Monday, April 5th, 2004, in his 76th year. Loving husband of Gwen. Dear father of Jennifer, Ellen, Mark, and Pam. Proud grandfather of Matthew, Kennedy, and Mikayla. Son of the late Jack and Evelyn MacDonald. Beloved brother of Helen Heffer, Keith and wife Marilyn and Allan. Sadly missed by in-laws John and Mary Fawcett, and Grace and Ken Brown. Always remembered by many nieces and nephews. Mass of the Christian Burial from Holy Family Parish, 91 Ribblesdale Dr., Whitby on Wednesday, April 7th, 2004 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Charity of your choice and would be greatly appreciated.

PAISLEY, Mary Victoria (nee McKnight) -
On Monday, April 5th, 2004 at Versa Care Centre, Uxbridge, in her 71st year after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's. Mary, beloved wife of George. Dear mother of Rose (predeceased) and husband Neil Carlin, Tom (Jean), Linda (Pat) McKenna, Dick (Jan), and Harry (Angie). Grandmother of Stephanie, Amanda, Vicky, David, Mary, Holly, Tommy, Melissa, Genny, Amy, Evan and Candace. Survived by her sister Alice (Stan) Cowan. Resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home on Thursday, April 8th, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday, April 9th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 10th, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. In Mary's memory, donations may be made to the Leaskdale Presbyterian Church Building Fund or Alzheimer Society.

PRESCOTT, Marilyn Ruth (Jackson) -
(March 2, 1937 - April 5, 2004).
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Marilyn Ruth Prescott after a courageous battle with cancer. Marilyn passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by those she loved. Marilyn, daughter of the late Sam and Irene Jackson, beloved wife of Jim, mother of Dianne and her husband Scott, John and his wife Andrea, sister of Aureen and her husband Vern, and of the late Sam D. Jackson; cherished grandmother of Brock, Dylan, Hunter, Logan and Chelsea; loving aunt of Susan and Frank, Bill and Carol, Judy and Allan and their families; dear friend of Marvyn and Barb, Sam and Tracey, Nancy and Glen. Marilyn will be deeply missed by her many dear friends. Family and friends are invited to visit the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King Street East, Oshawa, (905-433-5558) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held at KINGSVIEW UNITED CHURCH, 505 Adelaide Ave. E. (at Wilson Rd. N.) on Thursday, April 8th, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation. Interment will take place at Oshawa Union cemetery on Tuesday, April 13th at 10:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, Marilyn's wishes were that donations be made to Hearth Place, Oshawa General Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care or Kingsview United Church.

Peacefully in her mother's arms at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, on Monday April 5th, 2004. Beloved infant daughter of Becky & Chris Robinson. Dear little sister of Tyler, Neven & Avery. Survived by her loving grandparents Lee-Anne & John Langill, Darlene & Peter Steffans and Elva & Robert Henkel. She will be in the hearts & memories of her family forever.
