HOPE, Marjorie Ray -
(Member of the Whitby Senior Centre and Ciiffcrest United Church U.C.W.).
Peacefully after a short illness at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on Monday, February 2nd, 2004, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Alex Hope. Loving mother of Susan and her husband Gordon Taylor, Julie and her husband Terry Russell and Alexis Hope. Proud Nana of Rob, Kim, Andrew, Kaeleigh, Dan, Clint, Glen, Dee and Jackie. Great-grandmother of Hope. Dear sister of Laurie and his wife Dorothy. Marjorie will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE 'Thornton Chapel', 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Wednesday, February 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, February 5th at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to Lakeridge Health - Oshawa Cardiac Care would be appreciated.

At Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa on Monday, February 2, 2004, after a lengthy illness of 'multiple myeloma'. Loving wife of the late Kenneth 'Ronald' Inche. Sister of Gordon and 'Ruth' Hudson. Mother of Gloria and her husband Dalton Crabb of Oshawa, Ronald and his wife Norma of Whitby and Jane and her husband Larry Poser of Wasaga Beach. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Richard, Kimberly, Sheri, the late Robbie Poser and great-grandchildren Amber and Ashtyn Crabb, Thomas and Ryan Mayall and Victoria Fraser. Sister-in-law of Muriel Inche. Special thanks to doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Oshawa 3F and support staff at White Cliffe Terrace Retirement Residence. Cremation. passed away suddenly at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday February 2, 2004, after a short illness at the age of 71. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years Stella. Dear father of Nancy Macvarish (Alasdair), and Lisa Jozkoski & her partner Dave Welder. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Connor, Cameron, Victoria (Sami), Erika and Jenna. Dear brother of John Jozkoski (Helen), Mary Zygmont (the late Walter), and Bernice Puskas (Bill) and many, many nieces and nephews. Loving father of Scott and his wife Justine of Whitby and Brent of Oshawa. Dear brother of Irene Janke and her husband Jim and Ruby Carlyle all of Scarborough. Resting at THE ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East Oshawa, (905-433-4711) with complete funeral service in the chapel on Friday, February 6th at 3 p.m. followed by cremation. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or Durham Lung Association would be appreciated. Visitation commencing on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

HALSALL John Reuben -
(W.W. II Vet (L/Cpl.) 48th Highlanders Canada).
Died with his family at his side on February 1, 2004, in his 90th year. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Marjorie in 1997 and grandson Edward Baxter in 2002. Cherished father of Dianne and Ken Duncan of Leamington, John and Viviane Halsall of Kirkland Lake, Mary-Ruth and Randy Roadhouse of Whitby, Susan and Jonathan Baxter of Oshawa and Ted and Eva Halsall of Cannington. Grandpa will be missed by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Survived by sister Grace Stewart, predeceased by sister Lavina and brother William Rushworth. Reuben was born in Cobalt on April 10, 1914. He lived and worked as a miner in Kirkland Lake, moved to North Bay in 1973, and then later to Oshawa to be closer to his family, with plans to spend the summers at his cottage, the Redwood in Northern Ontario. Memorial to celebrate his faith and life to be held in the chapel at Hillsdale Manor, 600 Oshawa Blvd. N., Oshawa, on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at 9:30 in the morning.

HUNTER, Gordon Harris -
(Ret. Ontario Hydro).
passed away at his residence on Sunday February 1, 2004 in his 62nd year. Dearly loved husband of Iris Hunter. Much loved father of Troy, Kristen and Chantal. Survived by his brother Bill and his wife Betty all of Brooklin. Resting at the MEMORIAL CHAPEL BROOKLIN LTD., 79 Baldwin Street Brooklin Village from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Then to Brooklin United Church, (Princess/Cassels Sts.) where friends will be received by the family from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service to follow in the church Thursday afternoon at 2:00 O'Clock. Interment to follow at GROVESIDE cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

After a courageous battle with Cancer passed away Tuesday, December 02, 2003, in her 63rd year. Dear mother of Alan and his wife Marie Watson, Susan and her husband Dave Viknanek, Donna Darlington and Mike. Dear grandmother of Ashley, Mitchel, Cody, Lee, Joel, and Catherine. Fondly remembered by many friends in the Kawartha Lakes Region. Service in the W.C. Town funeral Chapel on Friday, December 05 at 1 p.m. followed by Cremation. LINDSAY, Davina Cowan -
(1899 - 2003).
Beloved wife of the late James Lindsay. Dearest mother of Jeanne Ballantine of Parksville, BC, Eric of Elmira, NY, and the late Douglas of Bancroft, ON. Daughter of the late James & Jane Cowan, she came to Canada from Scotland in 1919. Davina is the last of a family of 6 sisters and 2 brothers. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren, a nephew in Scotland, a niece in England and several great grandchildren. She was kind, loving and giving and will always be remembered in our hearts. Our gratitude to the staff at Extendicare for their care over the years. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with funeral service in the Chapel on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens.
