Lenamay "Lee" Robertson - 03/31/2006

On Thursday, March 30, 2006. Predeceased by her husband John "Ian" Robertson. Devoted mother of Steven (Caroline)and David (Natalie) and proud grandmother of Nicholas, Chanel, Tanner and Tristan. A private Memorial Service will be held for the family. Arrangements in care of the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry. In lieu of flowers, donation in memory of Lenamay Robertson to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.

At home on Monday, March 27, 2006 at the age of 64. Beloved husband of 40 years of Pauline Roy (nee Bigras). Loving and caring father of Natalie (Carl Poirier) and Julie (Kenneth LaRue). Proud and doting grandfather of Caroline, Isabelle and Miriam. Adored son of the late Jean-Marie and Lorette (nee Albert). Dear brother of Raymond (Eleanor) and Lise Roy-Joseph. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Jean-Claude s life will be held at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Cyrville, 1187 Michael Street on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to The Lung Association or CHEO would be appreciated.

passed away peacefully at the Edinburgh Retirement Residence on Sunday April 9th, 2006 in her 97th year. Beloved sister of the late Marjorie G. Hudson and Dr. Doris Stuart Runciman. She spent her career as an executive secretary with the Rockefeller Charitable Foundation in New York City. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Thursday April 13th from 10:30 a.m. until service time in the chapel at 11:30 a.m. Interment to take place at Woodlawn cemetery , Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, later in the Spring. Special thanks to the staff at the Edinburgh Residence, especially Bernadette Hoadley, for their special care.

Peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at the age of 82. Beloved son of John Allister Shoultz and the late Sara Ann Alty. Dear brother of Emily Heculuck of North Bay, Kenneth Shoultz (Doris) of Ottawa and Marguerite Young (John) of St. Catharine s. Predeceased by brother Murray. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. John will be dearly missed by Anita Guerin and her sons Stephen and Isaac. John was a proud volunteer for many years at the Shepherd s of Good Hope. The Funeral Mass will be held at Ste-Genevi ve Roman Catholic Church, 835 Canterbury Avenue, Ottawa on Monday, April 10, 2006 at 11am. A Graveside Service will be held at Victoria Lawn cemetery in St. Catharine s on Monday, May 1, 2006 at 11am. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to the Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre Foundation, 1750 Russell Road, Ottawa, K1G 9Z9, would be appreciated by the family.

In hospital, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, March 26, 2006. Predeceased by her beloved husband Alex. Survived by her loving children: Harris (Judy), Linda (Doug), Mary (Terry) and Alex (Debbie); Grandchildren: Janet, Nancy, Laurie, Kerry, Diane, Robert, Kristin, Jessica, Carling and Brittany, 13 great-grandchildren and several dear friends. Predeceased by her siblings Cecilia, Viola and Jack. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church , Young Street at Bayswater Avenue on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. For those wishing, donations may be made to the Companions of the Cross, 199 Bayswater Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, K1Y 2G5. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life. "

passed away peacefully on April 10, 2006 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Kaye) for 66 years. Much loved father of Terry (the late Sharon) and Kathryn Fright (Eric). Dearly loved "Pop" of Jordan, Daniel and Stephanie. Loving brother of Wesley and predeceased by Clarence, Gladys, Ernest, Bertha, Margaret and Victor. Albert will be missed by many friends. Al served in World War II as a Radar Operator with the RCAF; 43 years of faithful service with The Mutual Life of Canada. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Wednesday, April 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, April 13 from 12 noon until Service time in the Chapel at 1 p.m. followed by a reception at the McGarry Family Reception Centre. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

Shirley Staples (nee Stanyar) - 04/03/2006

passed away on March 29, 2006. Wife of the late Gordon Staples. Daughter of the late Dan and Nora Stanyar. Predeceased by her sister Gail and brother Murray. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Jason, her daughter-in-law Shannon and her sister Joan (David Hall). A Memorial Service will be held at Templeton United Church, 942 Notre Dame Street, Gatineau, Quebec on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 2pm. Special thanks to the staff at St. Vincent s Hospital for their compassionate care. Arrangements in care of the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry.

Bessie Kathleen Tant (nee Benson) - 04/11/2006

Peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on April 11, 2006, at age 88. Beloved wife for over 60 years of Verne. Loving mother of Ilea and her husband Andr Leroux, Judy and her husband Nelson Missbach, and Margo and her husband Alan Sippel. Proud grandmother of Ian and Yves Leroux. Also survived by her brother Robert Benson of Whitby. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff on the second floor of Garden Terrace in Kanata, and the superb palliative team from the Community Nursing Registry for their dedicated and compassionate care. Above all, the family is profoundly grateful to Dr. Louise Coulombe for her exceptional commitment, empathy, and support. A memorial service will be held at St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church, 154 Somerset Street West, in Ottawa on May 8 at 1:00 p.m. For those wish, a memorial donation may be made to St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church (K2P 0H8) or a charity of their choice.

passed away suddenly yet peacefully in his sleep on April 3rd, 2006 at the age of 35. Ian was the best friend and husband of Jennifer Ross-Tolton, the greatest dad to his baby daughter Harper, and much loved friend to Micah the dog. Loved son of Marie and the late Harold Tolton of Richmond, Ontario, brother to Jennifer (Michael Whiten) and Eden (Mark Poirier). Uncle of Michael, Nicole and Dylan Poirier and Kathleen Ross. Son-in-law of Bruce and Gill Ross of Toronto. Ian loved us all very deeply and we will love him forever. A service will be held at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, 217 First Avenue, Ottawa on Friday April 7th, 2006 at 3pm, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations or gifts of musical instruments can be made through ArtsCanCircle.ca in Ian's honour.
