Peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 surrounded by his family. Born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1959. Loving husband of Leokadia. Adoring father to Andrew (Margaret), Christopher (Andrea) and Anna (Raymond) Rivet. Kochany Dziadek to Sandra, Hayden and Zofia. Survived by his brother Walter (Stefania). Janusz was an avid fisherman who inspired in his family, his love for the outdoors. Retired from DeHavilland Aircraft after over 30 years of Service. His voice and songs will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home; 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. passed away suddenly on Friday, February 16, 2007 at Copernicus Lodge Nursing Home at the age of 96. Wife of the late Alex Uhrenchuk. She was born in Ukraine and immigrated to Canada when she was 12 years old. Her only surviving family is her niece Luba Ostrowski in Europe. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother on Saturday, February 24, 2007. She now joins her beloved husband and best friend Albert. She is deeply and sadly missed by her son James and his wife Wendy, as well as her cherished granddaughters Julia and her husband Jeff, Laura and her husband Michael, grandson Stuart and his wife Patricia and her adorable great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her brothers James, Robert, sister Kathleen, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her much loved 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Rhona’s life was filled with love and her family and friends have lifetimes of happy memories. With each smile, we will think of our wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister and friend. Elwin (Al) Berry
passed away peacefully at Peel Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 5, 2006 at the age of 89. Predeceased by his wife Vera. Much loved by his children Wanda Madill, Beverly Wilson, Joyce Caron, Sonny (Carl) Berry, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Al was a long time resident of Alderwood and a proud Newfoundlander. He was a carpenter by trade and a retired employee of Ontario Hydro. He most loved square dancing and listening to music. The visitation and funeral will be held at Long Branch Baptist Church (3381 Lakeshore Blvd. W.) on Thursday, February 9, 2006 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
