Janusz Jozef Glab
Peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 surrounded by his family. Born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1959. Loving husband of Leokadia. Adoring father to Andrew (Margaret), Christopher (Andrea) and Anna (Raymond) Rivet. Kochany Dziadek to Sandra, Hayden and Zofia. Survived by his brother Walter (Stefania). Janusz was an avid fisherman who inspired in his family, his love for the outdoors. Retired from DeHavilland Aircraft after over 30 years of Service. His voice and songs will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home; 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm & 7 to 9 pm. Prayers 8pm. Funeral Mass at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church on Monday at 10am. Interment Park Lawn cemetery. Donations may be made to the Lung Association..

Julia Uhrenchuk
passed away suddenly on Friday, February 16, 2007 at Copernicus Lodge Nursing Home at the age of 96. Wife of the late Alex Uhrenchuk. She was born in Ukraine and immigrated to Canada when she was 12 years old. Her only surviving family is her niece Luba Ostrowski in Europe. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home; 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Sunday from 2 to 4pm & 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday at 1pm. Interment Riverside cemetery.

Alice Rimmer (nee Cook)
Peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in her 80th year, Alice, beloved wife of Albert. Loving mother of Albert Jr., Arthur and Michael. Dear grandmother of Jessica, Jennifer and Cole. Sadly missed by her sister Mary Gaudet and her brothers Henry, Raymond, Eddie, Malcolm and Larry. Also missed by other family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Friday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Complete service in the chapel Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Private Interment . Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.

Rachel Self (nee McMath)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother on Saturday, February 24, 2007. She now joins her beloved husband and best friend Albert. She is deeply and sadly missed by her son James and his wife Wendy, as well as her cherished granddaughters Julia and her husband Jeff, Laura and her husband Michael, grandson Stuart and his wife Patricia and her adorable great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her brothers James, Robert, sister Kathleen, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her much loved 5 sisters and 3 brothers. The family would like to thank the caring staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre and the devoted staff at Baycrest Centre Comfort Care Unit. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Edward James McCarron
After a brief illness on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Toronto General Hospital, Edward, age 76 years, dearly loved husband of Margaret. Loving father to Deborah Lebedick (Richard) and Brenda Lismore (Geoff). Dear grandfather to Kerry Spalding (Jeff), Tina Lismore (Paul) and great grandfather of Taylor Spalding. Also survived by his sister Margaret Woodcock. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Service in the chapel Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope cemetery.

Peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga in her 101st year, Mary, dear loving mother of Evelyn Talefich, Ray Starkes (Paula), Marjorie Burger, Ernest Stares and Mary Jefferies (Jeff). Dear grandmother of Michael, Marjorie, Lyn, Donna, Kathy, Keith, Kim, John, Bill, Sheila, Kim, Mark and Barry. Also survived by her sisters Jessie, Freda, Hazel, brother Michael, great, great-great and great-great-great grandchildren and many other family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Friday from noon until time of service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place.

Rhona May McColeman (Nee Clissold)
Born December 1, 1922, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Loving, devoted wife of 60 years of Alfred. Dear Mom of Carol May (Ken) and Paul (Rosemary). Proud Grandma of Courtney (Chris), Todd (Rebecca), and Kevin (Lianne). Adoring Great-Grandma of Cameron and Aiden. Fondly remembered by numerous family and friends. Rhona’s life was filled with love and her family and friends have lifetimes of happy memories. With each smile, we will think of our wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister and friend. You will be missed every day and loved by all who shared their lives with you. Thank you to the wonderful staff at McCalls and Mississauga Trillium for your help and support. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Arthritis Society.

Suddenly and peacefully passed away quietly Wednesday, February 1, 2006 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Irene for 43 years. Caring father of four sons Thomas, Edward, Michael and David. Admired by daughters-in-law Maria, Hala and Geraldine. Loved by his 9 wonderful grandchildren Ashley, Kristen, Brittney, Amanda, Jessica, Rachel, Christopher, Julia and Sarah.

Elwin (Al) Berry
passed away peacefully at Peel Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 5, 2006 at the age of 89. Predeceased by his wife Vera. Much loved by his children Wanda Madill, Beverly Wilson, Joyce Caron, Sonny (Carl) Berry, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Al was a long time resident of Alderwood and a proud Newfoundlander. He was a carpenter by trade and a retired employee of Ontario Hydro. He most loved square dancing and listening to music. The visitation and funeral will be held at Long Branch Baptist Church (3381 Lakeshore Blvd. W.) on Thursday, February 9, 2006 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Hilda Barbara Lush
Peacefully at home on Monday, February 6, 2006. Barbara, beloved wife of 62 years to Ernest (Ernie) Lush. Loving mother of Debbie and her husband Eric Maginnis. She will be sadly missed by her brother Peter Foster in England. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Friday from 2 – 5 p.m. for a Celebration of Barbara’s life. Cremation has taken place.
