Mary "Mae" Catherine Connon
The death occurred at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 of Mae Connon of Dwight.

Beloved wife of Charlie Connon and dear mother of Barbara, Sean and spouse Cyndi , Michael and spouse Ginny and the late Lisa.

Loving grandmother of Patrick, Shane, Luke, Aidan, Dylan and Katie.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 12 Centre Street, North, Huntsville on Saturday, September 27th at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville, would be preferred and appreciated by the family.

Norman E. Shaw

Peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2014, Norman Shaw of Huntsville passed away at the Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket at the age of 83. Norman was born on July 21,1931 in the town of Novar to parents Leslie and Rachel Shaw.

Beloved husband of Raymonda Shaw and former husband of Margaret Henry (Shaw). Father of daughter Barbara (Shaw) Ings, and sons David and Bruce Shaw. Father-in-law of Geoffery Ings, Barbara Shaw(McKellar), and Julie Yates, Step Children; Linda Hart (Richard) and Stephen VanDerheyden (Kimberley) and their families. Norman will be missed by his 8 grandchildren Ianna, John, Jason, Madison,Gavin, Tonya, Leah and Fiona.

At the age of 28married Margaret Henry and had 3 children. Norman divorced in 1984. Many years later he met and has beenmarried for 25 years to Raymonda .

Norman lived in Melissa throughout much of his life while raising his children and later retired to his house on Lake Waseosa. Norman was well known in Huntsville, and the surrounding areas, where for many years he operated and owned Shaw's Esso Service with his father Les, on Hwy 11 in Melissa. He was also a long standing member of the Chaffey Township/Huntsville Volunteer Fire Department, rising to the rank of Lieutenant

Norman could always be seen around town helping people by giving them a tow or fixing things around their house and he had been known for helping stranded souls on the highway find a place to stay, he was always giving his time to others. He was involved with many associations in his life time such as the Lake Waseosa rate payer's Association and a Boy Scout Leader, to name a few. In his later years he loved spending his summers at the lake and winters in Florida.

He battled courageously for the last 15 years against Diabetes and it is what took him from us. He will not be forgotten and is sadly missed and loved by his family and many in the community. His family wishes to thank everyone for their condolences and support.

The family wishes to thank all the caring staff at the hospitals and Home Care workers for their kindness and support during this time.

A celebration of Norman's life will take place at the Holiday Inn Express, Muskoka Room - 100 Howland Dr. in Huntsville on Saturday September 13, 2014 from 1-4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association, would be appreciated by the family.

Patricia Diane Colquette (nee West)
The death occurred at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville on Monday, August 11, 2014 of Patti Colquette of Huntsville.

Beloved wife of Doug Colquette. Daughter of Edwin West and the late Marion West. Sister of Andrew West and his wife Cathy. Loved by many nieces and a nephew.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Tally-ho Resort, 2222 Highway 60, on Saturday, August 16th from 1-3p.m.

Memories will be shared at 2 0'clock.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Algonquin Grace Hospice, would be appreciated.

Vernon Fallows
The death occurred in his sleep at home in Baysville on Sunday, August 10, 2014 of Vernon Malcolm Fallows.

Born October 21, 1937 in Toronto, the son of the late Leonard Fallows and Belva Malcolm. Beloved husband of Henrietta "Rita" Fallows ( nee Hancock). Father of Greg and his wife Cathy. Papa of Heather and her husband Darrell and Alex. Great grandfather of Preston and Maddie. Predeaceased by brother John.

Vern was Past President of the Sons of Scotland Robbie Burns Camp, Past President of the Baysville Seniors and Past President and Vice President of the Ril Lake Association.

A reception is being held at Bethune United Church, Baysville on Saturday, August 16th

from 1-3p.m.( 2 Dickie Street, Baysville Ontario)

Donald Roy Eagles
The death occurred at his home on Monday, June 8, 2015 of Donnie Eagles, in his 66th year.

"A man who cared about his downtown streets, his coffee, his wool and more"

A Memorial service will be held in the Addison Chapel of the Mitchell Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 16th at 2 p.m.

Immediately following the service, a "Celebration of Life" will be held for Donnie at Partner's Hall in Algonquin Theatre (Main Street level entrance).

George Parrott
The death occurred at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville on Sunday, December 30, 2012 of George Parrott.

Beloved husband of Marsha. Dear father of Mark (Wendy) and Tracy (Steven). Loving grandfather of Aaron and Laura.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from 1 to 4 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity United Church on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 1 p.m.

If desired, memorial gifts can be made to Algonquin Grace Hospice Huntsville or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Vicki Dodds
The death occurred very suddenly in her sleep on Monday, September 7, 2015 at her home on Lake of Bays. Vicki Dodds beloved wife of Edward (Ted) Dodds after 46 years of marriage. Dear mother of Matthew (Sarah), Andrew (Sarah), Jordan (Katie) and Tobin (Rebekkah). Loving grandmother of Emaleigh, Kaeden, Tristan, Cameron, Elyse, Blare, Henry, Harris and Sawyer. Vicki will be sadly missed by many family and friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Vicki Dodds will be held at the MITCHELL FUNERALHOME, 15 High Street,Huntsville, ON P1H 1N9 on Thursday, September 10 from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Prayers will be offered Thursday by the Father John Rathinaswamy at 7:00pm and the Rosary by the Knights of Columbus at 7:50pm.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 12 Centre Street, North, Huntsville on Friday, September 11th at 11a.m. A reception will follow in the Church Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Muskoka Mental Health and Addiction Centre or to your own Public Library Board.

Joseph Verrier
May 26, 1931 - July 16, 2015

Joseph Verrier at the age of 84 passed away peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on July 16, 2015.

He was greatly appreciated and loved by his family for all his caring ways. He readily shared his time and talents to support his family and friends.

With an engaging personality Joe offered years of volunteer service within the community. His welcomed presence was apparent to many.

The past 44 years he offered assistance to The Village Shop, performing tasks that supported the everyday smooth function of the business.

Joe was born in Morris, Manitoba on May 26, 1931. He moved to Ontario as a young boy with his family. Settling into Muskoka he realized he had found his paradise.

With a life-long appreciation of nature, the lakes and forests provided many seasons to hunt and fish. As an avid reader Joseph was drawn to poetry. His grandchildren delighted in hearing their grandpa recite the poems of Robert Service.

Joseph Verrier will always be loved and missed by his remaining family.

Grandchildren: Adam, Matthew, Rachel, Nathan and Sage

An informal open reception was held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 High Street, Huntsville.
