The death occurred at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville on Thursday, October 29, 2015 of Norma O’Reilly (nee Grosso).
Beloved wife of the late Gerald (Gerry) O’Reilly. Dear mother of Danny and his fiancé Carol, Gerry (Janet), John (Sonia) and Paul (Elsa). Grandmother of Matthew (Andrea), Michael, Meagan (Rob), Lauri (Devin), Justin and Ryan.
Visitation for Mrs. Norma O’Reilly will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd from 3-6p.m.
Funeral service for Mrs. Norma O'Reilly will be held in the Addison Chapel of the Mitchell Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 4th, 2015 at 11 a.m.

Maurice Willard "Bill" Waterhouse
Owner and manager of Deerhurst Inn from 1971 – 1989, passed away at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital, Huntsville on Wednesday, October 28th, 2015.
The third generation owner of Deerhurst, Bill represents a legacy destination for both travellers and employees (otherwise known as the Deerhurst family) who have experienced this resort since it was first built by Bill’s grandfather, Charles Waterhouse, in 1896.
Son to the late Maurice Waterhouse and stepson to the late Jean Waterhouse; Bill was a loving father to Tracey Waterhouse, Julie (Waterhouse) Colvin and Jeremy Waterhouse. Brother of John Waterhouse, uncle to Sally Waterhouse, Bob Waterhouse and William Waterhouse and grandfather to Cody, Brittany, Emma, and Will.
Special thanks would like to be given to Julie Groomes for her devoted and compassionate care, and to all of the wonderful Deerhurst alumni who have expressed heartfelt appreciation for a man who defined an era in hospitality for Huntsville.
A graveside service will be held at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery, Huntsville on Friday, Nov. 6th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception at Deerhurst in “The Waterhouse Ballroom” from 2 to 4 p.m., light refreshments & cash bar.
Judith Louise Parker
Judith “Judy” Louise Parker, 69, of Port Sydney, Ontario (formerly of New Liskeard, ON) passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015.
Born November 11, 1946 in Toronto, ON, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Baxter McLeod and Evelyn Louise McLeod (nee Austin).
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Hugh Charles Parker; two daughters, Christine Parker (Todd Joyes) of Toronto, ON, and Karen Craig (Ryan) of Chicago, IL; a brother, Donald McLeod (Robin) of Toronto, ON; two grandchildren, Quinn and Abigail Parker-Joyes; two sisters-in-law Carol Shaw (Wayne) of Warkworth, ON and Joy Blackwood (Billy Ray) of Gormley, ON, and many beloved family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2016. More details will be available through the Mitchell Funeral Home website when plans are finalized www.mitchellfuneralhome.ca.

Fredericka "Freddie" Ellen Colquhoun
Fredericka “Freddie” Ellen Colquhoun (Prickett) passed away peacefully in her 92nd year on November 9th in Huntsville. She was born in Ossining, New York, to Frederick and Mary Prickett.
She was a pioneering, spirited redhead who lived a life of adventure that was unusual for its time. She immigrated with her family to New Brunswick at the age of 6, where she drove a dogsled to school with her younger brothers and sisters in tow. She enlisted in the military on her 18th birthday. After the war ended, she moved to Montreal and worked at Eaton’s on Rue Ste. Catherine. She met her husband, Charles, on a train between Ottawa and Montreal. They spent the first year of their marriage in Peru where he was working as a civil engineer. After the passing of her husband, she and their 12-year-old son moved to Muskoka, where she built a log cabin and made a home for them in Dwight.
She was an accomplished artist whose weavings hang in many homes in Muskoka. She loved quilting, drawing, gardening, listening to opera and baking bread.
Freddie is survived by sons Don (Sharon) of Eagle Bay, BC and Ian (Amie) of Dwight ,ON; as well as sisters Philomene, Jean and Mae. She was predeceased by brothers Bobby and Lindy.
Her funeral was held in Nash Creek, New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, donations to Huntsville Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
Catherine "Kay" Pearson
Catherine "Kay" Pearson of Toronto passed away peacefully on her 88th birthday, December 29, 2015 at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville.
Kay Pearson beloved wife of the late Jack Pearson. Dear mother of Darrell and his wife Mary of St. Catharines; their children Stephanie(Jamie) and Alexander and her son Bill of Kenilworth.
Survived by sister Barbara(Harold Sanderson) and aunt of Cathy and Rob. Missed by many close friends.

Ralph Stewart Jones
OCTOBER 9, 1922 - DECEMBER 5, 2015
Peacefully at Algonquin Grace Hospice, in Huntsville, Ontario, on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the excellent age of 93. Survived by four children: Donald (Frances), Robert (Paula), Elizabeth and Margaret; and by sister Lillian (age 102). Predeceased by Frances his wife of 63 years, daughter Mary Frances, brother Frederick and sister Leslie. Grandad to Hillary, Rosalind, Ginny (Ben) and Stefan.
Ralph served in the RCAF (training) during WW2 and graduated from University of Toronto, Victoria College in 1948. He was called to the bar of Ontario in 1949. He established the law firms of Jones & Jones followed by Jones & Hughes. He enjoyed, and prospered in, the residential development business with partnerships Urban Homes and Durham Homes.
He was a longtime supporter of Oshawa and District Community Living, Huntsville Community Living and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. He was a proud supporter of the Liberal Parties of Canada and Ontario, and was elected to the Oshawa Board of Control.
With his wife Frances he created lovely homes in Oshawa and Huntsville, where they were always welcoming to friends and family. Ralph and Frances opened their doors to many gatherings of charitable groups, civic organizations and political events.
Ralph was a proud charter member of Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Club and enjoyed skiing into his 90th year. He loved cruising on the Trent-Severn and Georgian waterways. He engaged in boating and sailing on both the Kawartha and Muskoka Lakes. He and Frances took many wonderful vacations with good friends.
In his final three years Ralph loved sharing time with his good friend and partner Jean Hobson. Together they enjoyed Probus Club, bridge playing, dining-in group, and many pleasant drives to visit their friends and families. It was a beautiful last chapter to a long and well-lived life, a time when Ralph’s love of life and humour was shared with anyone and everyone.
Thanks to the wonderful staff at both Huntsville Hospital and Hospice Huntsville for their assistance during Ralph’s brief final challenges. He was very lucky to avoid any serious health issues during his long and happy life.
Ralph's Celebration of Life will be held on Friday December 18th at 1:00 pm at Hidden Valley Ski Club in the Members Lounge.

The death occurred at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 7, 2016 of Lorraine Groomes.
Beloved wife of the late Don Groomes. Dear mother of Brenda McGary, Stan Groomes (Sandra) and Kathie (Troy Brocklebank). Grandmother of Harley McGary (Katherine), Dylan McGary, Cody McGary (Becky),and Jenna Lynn Groomes (Joey) and Andrea Groomes (Jordan) and the late Justin Andrew Groomes. Great grandmother of Shaun, Preston, Marlee, Haylee, Codee and Kaleb.

The death occurred at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 13, 2015 of Ruth Newell of Huntsville.
Ruth is missed by Ed Harrigan, long time friend and companion, Donna Marie and her husband Bryan, their children Jenna Marie Margaret (deceased), Bryson and his fiancée Cameron Eve, Trent, and Elyse Ken and his wife Michelle, their sons Ethan and Lucas, Mary-Ruth and her husband Dave, Maryanne and her husband Jamie and their son Walker.
Visitation will be held at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 High Street, Huntsville on Wednesday, November 18th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at All Saints' Anglican Church, 30 High Street, Huntsville on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 11 a.m.
A reception will follow in Partner's Hall of the Algonquin Theatre.
