Quinton Anthony Jeffrey Mondoux

MONDOUX, Quinton Anthony Jeffrey - Quinton Mondoux at the Ottawa Hospital - General Campus on Tuesday June 2, 2009 shortly after birth. Beloved infant son of Christine Martell and Anthony Mondoux. Brother of Taisha, Payton, Sheldon, Owen, and Serenity. Sadly missed by his grandparents Alcide Mondoux Jr. (late Denise), Brenda Belanger (Gary Paupst), (late Robert Martell); his great grandmother Bernice Belanger; his godparents Brenda Bishop, Dwight Dugas, and Jeffrey Belanger; his aunts and uncles Chris Mondoux, Jeffrey Belanger (Lisa), Megan and Courtney Belanger; and many cousins. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in St. Columban's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday June 6, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Cremation to follow. If so desired contributions in memory of Quinton to the Canadian Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

DURIVAGE, Euphémie - At St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre on Wednesday, June 3, 2009. Known to all as “ Mémère “. Euphémie (Charron) Durivage of 14 York Street; age 101 years. Beloved wife of the late Paul-Émile Durivage (1980). Loving mother of Juliette Pagé (Laurier) and AndréDurivage (Christine Kitts) both of Cornwall. Predeceased by one son, Gaston Durivage (1997). Cherished grandmother of Louise Pagé, Colette Pélerin (Hubert), Michel Durivage (Carole), Julie Durivage and Pierre Durivage (Lise) and great- grandmother of eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Predeceased by one grandson, Alain Durivage. Special mother-in-law of Terry Durivage and Germaine Durivage both of Cornwall. Dear daughter of the late Henri Charron and the late Rosa (Cayer) Charron. Predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Resting at LAHAIE & SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, East Branch, 614 First Street East from 2 p.m Sunday. Funeral Monday, June 8, 2009 for Mass of Christian Burial in Ste-Thérèse de Lisieux Church at 11 a.m. Interment in Ste- Euphémie Cemetery, Casselman.The family will be in attendance from 2 p.m to 4 p.m and 7 p.m to 9 p.m Sunday and from 9 a.m until time of Funeral on Monday. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the CNIB or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

THERRIEN, Henri “Henry“ “Ti-Noir“ - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Sunday, May 31, 2009 at the age of 86 years. Son of the late Joseph and of the late Elevyna (née Beaulieu) Therrien. Husband of the late Diana Therrien (née Contois). Loving father of Colette Bélisle (Omer) of Blezard Valley, Lorraine Therrien of Quebec, Qc, Venance “Vince“ (Léonette) of Sudbury, Roger (Louise) of Garson and Raymond (Brenda-Lee MacGillivary) of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by his daughter Pauline. Dear brother of Délia Bouffard (late Henri) and Yvette Durette (Lucien) both of Sudbury, Blandine Audette (late Léonard) of Rouyn, Qc, Gracia Charette (Paul) (late Henri Martin) of French River and Jeanne Laurin (late Joseph) of Val Caron. Predeceased by his sister Thérèse Gaudin (late René) and his brothers Eugène (late Lucille) and Edouard (Constance of Blezard Valley). Lovingly remembered by his 13 grandchildren, his 13 great-grandchildren, many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Sadly missed by Lucille and family. Henri was a proud self made man who worked at farming, logging and building. He was a retired employee from TESC Construction Company. The family expresses its appreciation to the staff at Pioneer Manor for the kind and compassionate care given to Henri. The family will receive relatives and friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, June 5, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in Ste-Anne-des-Pins Church, Sudbury. LAVIGNE, Suzanne - The family announces with deepest sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the age of 52 years. Daughter of the late Roméo and of the late Regina (née Larocque) Lavigne. Beloved wife of Normand Gauthier of Sudbury. Loving mother to Julie, Joanne and Joelle. Lovingly remembered by her sisters Rolande, Pauline, Colette and her brothers Gilbert, Ronald, Donald, Rheault, Paulo and Roger. Predeceased by her sisters Janette, Raymonde, Ghislaine and her brother Guy. Loving memère to Noah, Mya, Devon, Jada, Ava and Matthew. In keeping with Suzanne's wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the CO- OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury.

GINGRAS, Gilles - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mr.Gilles Gingras on June 3, 2009 at the CSSS (Gatineau Hospital), at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of Laurette Bénard, son of the late Elie Gingras and of the late Bernadette Vachon. Loving father of Diane Gingras (Robert Neveu), Denis Gingras (Carole), Louise Robinson (Cliff), Richard Gingras (Diane) and Gaston Gingras (Jocelyne), also Darlene, Kenny and Timmy Morris; cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Shane Dennison) and Jason Robinson (Jacinthe), Marc-André Laurin (Josée) and Isabelle Laurin, Véronique and Pier-Luc Gingras, Sophie and Mathieu Gingras, Vanessa and Sébastien Gingras; brother of Alice (late Gaëtan), Claire (Bernard) and Hubert (Hélène); he also leave his brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his sisters Florence and Yvonne. There will be no visit at the Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 10, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Notre-Dame-du-Très-St- Rosaire church located at 5, St-Arthur St. in Gatineau. James Stokley

STOKLEY, James - Unexpectedly on Friday, June 5, 2009, James ‘Jim' Stokley of Camlachie passed away at the age of 50. Loving husband of Michele Stokley. Dearly missed father of Paige and Cory Stokley. Loved son of Betty and the late Donald Stokley. Cherished son-in-law of Susan and the late Tom Johnston. Treasured brother of Kim Deley and her husband Ken, and the late Tim Stokley and his wife Carol. Dear brother-in-law of Brent Johnston and his wife Susan. He will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews: Andy, Nick, Kelly and Katie Stokley; Curtis, Brett and Garrett Deley; Lucas and Beatrice Johnston. Jim worked for himself since he was 18 years old, with many different businesses, most recently being Stokes Bay and Bayfest. Growing up in Sarnia Jim was an avid athlete. He enjoyed swimming, pentathlons, cycling and recently acquired a new enjoyment for snowboarding. He was an active member in the community, benefiting Sarnia in many different ways. Jim loved his family and was very involved with his children's activities. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to our favourite charity Harmony, 251 Campbell St, Sarnia, N7T 2H2, 519- 336-0344.

Joan Edythe Mantle

MANTLE, Joan Edythe - In loving memory of Joan Edythe Mantle, 66 years, who passed away Tuesday, June 9th, 2009 at the Vale INCO Hospice after a long illness with cancer. She was born in Sudbury and lived all her life in the city. Loving wife of 10 years of Jack Martin, proud mother of Dr. Ross (Valerie), Scott (Petra), Leslie (Hadi), and grandmother to Bronwyn, Devin, Caelan, Sidney, Jazmin, Jordan, and Wilder. Joan was previously married to David Mantle of Carrying Place. She was a friend and confidante to Jack's children Susan (Arthur), Campbell (Matty), Barbara (Fran), and his grandchildren Sofia, Chloe, Isabelle, Alex and Alisa. Joan is also survived by her sister Audrey Lone and her brother Dr. Bill Noble, his wife Elizabeth and their children Judy, David, and Karen. Joan's interests were many but in particular her family, travelling, camping and music. She excelled in all her endeavours and activities. She was a highly respected educational leader, held a variety of teaching and administrative positions, including Principal of Lo-Ellen and Sudbury Secondary Schools and Superintendent of Education with the Rainbow District School Board. Joan is a past chair of the Ontario Secondary School Principal's Council, the Ontario Principal's Council, a former director of the Ontario Public School Supervisory Officer's Association, and she was given a Life Membership in the Ontario Principal's Council. For many years, Joan was a driving force for the arts. She earned her ARCT in piano at an early age and won numerous piano awards and competitions. She taught music at Lo-Ellen and Lasalle for 17 years. Under her direction the Lasalle Concert Band won Canadian and North American concert and jazz band competitions, and travelled extensively across Canada, the USA, and the UK. For several years she was the head Director of the Ontario Music Leadership Camp and was awarded an Honourary Life Membership in the Ontario Music Educator's Association. Joan also was highly involved in the community. She was a member of the Sudbury Art Gallery Board, the Sudbury Symphony Board, the Sudbury Cinefest Board, the Huntington Conservatory Board, the Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network, and the Chair of the Cambrian College Board of Directors. She was a Huntington University Honourary Fellow, and in 2007 she was given the Ontario Medical Association's Community Service Award. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Joan Mantle Music Trust Fund at the Rainbow District School Board, 69 Young St., Sudbury, P3E 3G5. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral Service in St. Andrew's United Church, 111 Larch St. Sudbury, Saturday, June 13th, 2009 at 2 p.m. Cremation with interment in the Civic Cemetery. Friends may call 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 -5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Friday. No visitation Saturday.
