Pauline Lefebvre

At the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Sunday, December 16, 2012. Pauline Lefebvre (nee Lauzon) of Alexandria; age 72 years. Loving mother of Brigitte Souligny (Jean) and Gerry Lefebvre Jr. Dear sister of Claudette Brock (nee Poirier). Cherished grandmother of Patrick and Nicholas Souligny and Sean and Brianna Lefebvre. Dear daughter of the late Albert Lauzon and the late Germaine Poirier. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Thursday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église Sacre Coeur, on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11 am. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Shirley Cuggy

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved “Gramma”, on Christmas Eve at Cornwall Carefor Hospice. Predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Clifford Cuggy (November 17, 2012). Cherished mother of Michael (Deirdre) and Donald (Janice) and adored Gramma of Meaghan, Kayla, Jenna and Emily. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Olive Gentleman (nee Ewart) and her brother Robert (Frances). She also leaves to mourn, her sisters Patricia Moore (late Larry), Joyce (late Lockie), her cousins Norma French and Myrtle Dawley (late Dwight) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends; many who also fondly called her Gramma. Her kindness, humility, integrity and grace has left us with an everlasting legacy. A heartfelt thank you to Dr Leigh Carson for his dedicated care of our parents and Dr. Randlett, nurses and volunteers from the Cornwall Hospice. You were all so kind. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St. Lancaster (613) 347-3629 on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 7 - 9 pm and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A Funeral Service will be held at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, South Lancaster on Saturday, December 29 at 11 am. Cremation will follow with Spring interment of cremated remains in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Cornwall Carefor Hospice or the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

William Cattanach

At the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. William MacKenzie Cattanach of Williamstown; age 85 years. Williamstown postmaster for 32 years. Beloved husband of 60 years to Norma Cattanach (nee MacCrimmon). Loving father of Donna Bougie (Michael), Robert Cattanach (Bonnie), and Neil Cattanach (Catherine) all of Williamstown, and Christine Cattanach Kelly (David) of Alberta. Predeceased by one daughter-in-law Lorraine Cattanach. Much loved Pop of Laura, Daniel, Margaret, Jessie, Andrew, Charlotte, Bryce and Fiona. Dear son of the late Clarence Cattanach and the late Donalda MacCrimmon. Josef Keusch

Suddenly at his home, on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, Josef Markus Keusch of Maxville; age 54 years. Beloved husband and best friend to Regula Bürgi. Survived by seven brothers and sisters. Dear son of the late Josef Keusch and Klara Rosa Burger. Fondly remembered by many family and friends. A special thank-you to all of his dialysis nurses, especially Suzanne Leslie from the home dialysis unit. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898). A Memorial Service will be held in the Knox Presbyterian Church, Moose Creek on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11 am. Gertruida van Vorstenbos

At the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Thursday, December 6th at the age of 85. She leaves to mourn her husband Theodorus “Ted” and her loving children, Dory (Peter), Cecile (Normand), Trudy Jr. (Dave), Ted Jr. (Lisa). Dear Grandmother of Shari, Michel (Laura), Shelby (Shane), Matthew, Bryanna, Alexa, Logan & Cayle. Dear sister of Lou (Mientje) of Long Sault and Jack (Connie) of Nashville, Tennessee. Predeceased by sisters Lien & Bep and brother Jan of Holland. She also leaves many nieces & nephews. A mass will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Catholic Church Tuesday, December 18th at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or an animal shelter of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

At home on Monday, December 10, 2012. Jolande “Joan” Ryan (nee André) of South Lancaster; age 69 years. Beloved wife of John Ryan. Loving mother of Charlene Ryan (Shawn Bouley) of Stittsville. Dear sister of Yvette Faubert (Jacques) of Mirabel, Pauline André (Norman Lester) of Montreal, Serge André (Jeanne) of Alexandria, Marjolaine Desjardins (Rudy) of Alexandria, and Simone André of Sherbrooke. Predeceased by one daughter Deborah Ryan, and by one brother Jean-Guy André (late Roma). Cherished grandmother of Jamie Ryan, and Samantha and Ryan Bouley. Dear daughter of the late Paul-Emile André and the late Blanche Sauvé. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 3 brothers Albert, Ernest and Ovila, and by 2 sisters Laura Belanger and Marie Jeanne Fassio. Dear son of the late Rodolphe Rochon and the late Rose Picard. Also survived by 5 grandchildren Alain (Nancy), Luc, Nathalie, Christian and Marc, and by 7 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Raymond Crites, Ronald Lapensee, Larry Lapensee, Brian Lapensee, Carol MacDonald (Bert), Nicole Sinnotte (Mark), April Massia and Robert Vachon. Beloved daughter of her chosen parents Alice and Edward Lapensee. Previous marriage to Ian McKay.
