Peacefully at the Thessalon Hospital on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 in her 70th year, wife of the late Elmer Zaiser. Loving mother of Cherie (Richard) of North Bay, Susan (Craig) of Algoma Mills, Raymond (Nancy) of Webbwood, Michael (Diane) of Manitouwadge, Anna (Marty) of Thessalon. Daughter of the late Leona and Ray Gagnon. Geraldine will be missed by her grandchildren John McCabe (Kristen), Lannie McCabe (Jenn), Tamara, Alyssa and Christopher Banting, Jonathan Zaiser, Sydney Lovelace and Asia Zaiser. Dear sister of the late Ray "Gib" (Marilyn). Funeral service at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Thessalon on Friday, October 8, 2004 at 10:00 o'clock. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations to the Algoma Manor Redevelopment Fund greatfully accepted.

Mother of son Neil (Suzanne), son Donald and daughter Laurie. Sister of Annetta Savage (late George), Keith McLagan (Ilene), Evan McLagan (late Lorraine), Donald McLagan (Roslyn) and the late Donalda Cox/Bakewell (late Cecil) and (Norman). Sister-in-law of Bailey MacEwan (Fran) and Mary Claire Matthews (late Eric). Grandmother of Scott, Sarah and Christopher MacEwan, Beth, James and Jennifer Lortie and Sandy MacEwan. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Friday, October 8, 2004 from 6-9 pm. Funeral service from Central United Church, 160 Spring St., on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 10 am. Miss Aileen Hadden and Rev. Don McKay officiating. Dear grandmother of 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Myrtle (Jim) of South Dakota, Cecil (Pat) of Thessalon, Floyd (Doris) of Thessalon, Arden (late Doreen) of Desbarats, Manford (Muriel) of Bowmanville, Hazel (late Charlie) of Oakville, Muriel (Don) of Echo Bay, Leonard (Margaret) of Bowmanville, Bobby (Sandra) of Cameron, Ellen (Doug) of Picton and the late Howard and Earl. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon where friends may call on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service at Zion United Church, Thessalon on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 2 o’clock. Interment in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Donations to the Algoma Manor Redevelopment Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation gratefully accepted.

BLACKBURN, Donald Laurie After a courageous battle to overcome many health issues, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at the age of 63. Loving husband and soul mate of Kathleen of 36 years. Unconditionally loving and supportive father, encouraging coach and faithful friend to his sons Craig (Crystal Zack) and Cade (Katie). Grandfather of Patience Reily, Katharine Hall and Devin Donald. Dear son of the late James and Mary Clark. Brother of Roger Blackburn, Jim Blackburn (Val), Barbara Halligan (late Merv), Elna LaForge (John), Karl Hult (Helvi), Gunnar Hult (Linda), Elsie Hagemeister (Max), Kristin Smylie (Bob), late Marguerite Stewart and the late Ingrid Brown. He will be lovingly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends Gary Miller and Mike Doucette. Don devoted most of his career to working with special needs children, in particular autistic children. In addition, he volunteered many hours as a hockey coach and mentor to young athletes. Friends may ! call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Friday, November 12, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Funeral service from the chapel on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at 10 am. EVANS, Reverend Doctor James Walwyn Jim Evans died peacefully in his 79th year at St. Joseph's Health Centre, on Saturday, November 6, 2004. Jim is remembered with love by his daughter, Elizabeth, her husband Gord Cetkovski, and his grandson, Jimmy, of Toronto; and his son, James, his wife Sandra Cameron Evans and grandson, Stewart, of Calgary. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Annabelle. Obtaining a BA from UBC, Jim entered the Presbyterian ministry and graduated from Knox College in 1954. He served congregations at St. Giles, Prince George; St. Andrews, Nanaimo; Westminster, Sault Ste. Marie; St Marks, Don Mills; First Church, Regina; St. Andrews, Toronto; and St. Andrews, Stratford; and as Secretary, Board of Ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Canada. Jim loved sports of all kinds but particularly baseball, football, hockey and golf. He was devoted to politics, jazz, Shakespeare and conversation. In recent years, Jim faced many physical challenges and was deeply appreciative of thos! e who cared for him and became his friends. A Service or Remembrance to be held from St. Marks Presbyterian Church, 1 Greenland Rd., Don Mills on Monday, November 15, 2004 at 11 o'clock. At the family's request, donations in Jim's memory may be made to St. Marks Presbyterian Church, Don Mills, Ontario, St. Andrews Church, 73 Simcoe Street, Toronto or the Daily Food Bank. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 416.767.3153.

Loving wife of the late Ivan Sr. Cherished mother of Rita Helpert, Vivian Smith (Laurie), Marian Giroux (Dick), Susan Barbeau (Chuck) and Ivan Jr. (Brenda). Beloved grandmother of Robbie, Marney, Kathy, Meagan, Stephanie, Phil, Paul, Alison, Lisa, Maryann, Teresa, Tanyia, Scott and John. Great grandmother of Madison, Chelsea, Tanis, Sebastian, Georgia, Ethan and Jonah. Sister of Cecile Delgarde (late Gene), Delphine Pold (Albert), Gina Whitaker (Ed), Leonard Bailey (Helen). Lillian is predeceased by brothers Jim Bailey (late Myrtle), Henry Bailey and sisters Helen Johndreau (late Fred) and Margaret Leclair. Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
