Peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family on Friday, October 8, 2004. Loving wife of the late Jim McComb. Loving mother of Colleen Powshik (Larry) and Kerry Kostenuik (Gordie). Loving and proud grandmother of Kelly, Christine and Brent Powshik. Great grandmother and now guardian angel of Taelyn Caroline Powshik. Daughter of the late Cy and Cassie Bishop. Sister of Aura-Lee Rose (Neil), Jackie McDermott (Jack) and the late Aileen Kenning (late Frank). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 from 6-9 pm. Cremation to follow. Memorial contributions to the Palliative Care or Oncology Unit would be appreciated. Thank you to Dr. Walde and the staff of the Oncology and Palliative. Loving mother of Robert Lapossie (Rosalie), Laura-May Olszeviski (Joseph), Joanne Gleige, Rose Marie Higgins and the late Althea Evans (late George), Nelson Lapensee, Ronald Lapossie, Elmer Lapossie (Louis), Monica Greenway (late David), Clayton Lapensee. Dear sister of the late Dorothy Spina (late Domenic), Gorgina Evans (late George), Laura Mansfield (late Clarence), Agnes Peters, Stewart Vipond (Minnie), Art Vipond (late Alva), Wallace Vipond (late Mildred), Ivit Vipond (Kitty), George Vipond. Sister-in-law of Alex and Hazel Lapensee. Mrs. Bourgeois is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Peacefully with his daughter at his side, at the Thompson Hospital on Sunday, October 3rd, 2004, Mr. William (Bill) Burton, aged 78 years of Thompson. Bill was born in Iroquois Falls, Ontario on May 8, 1926. He came to Thompson in 1962 and was employed as a pipe fitter. A happy go lucky guy he always had kind words for everyone. He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Crystal of Thompson, Terrance of Winnipeg, Micheal (Suzanne) of Iroquois Falls Ontario and Ricci (Franceline) of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, grandchildren Micheal Linklater and Travis Burton both of Nelson House, Jeffrey, Pascal, Angelique, Bryce, Celeste, Stacie and Choraline, great-grandchildren Devin, brother Gerry (Erica) of British Columbia, . He will also be sadly missed by his many sisters and brothers-in-law plus Gisele Vermette, Alvin Brown and the Guiboche family, plus numerous relatives and friends. Bill was predeceased by his beloved companion Violette Guiboche, his late wife Henriette Lortie, sisters Iris Brown and Joyce Burton, sister-in-law Shirley Burton. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at 7 p.m. at the Sainte-Marie-Du-Sault R.C. Church in Sault Ste. Marie with Father Jozeph Nyesito officiating. Funeral services where held on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 10 a.m. in the St. Lawrence R.C. Church, 114 Cree Road, Thompson, Manitoba with Father Swami Devaprasad officiating. Cremation followed. Marie, Gina Mancini (late Loreto Vari), Armandina Mancini (late Orlando Angeloni), the late Maria Mancini (late Olindo Eramo), the late Carolina Mancini (late Giacomo Cavani), the late Giusepina Mancini (late Pietro Vari) all of Italy. Son of the late Mariano Mancini (late Serafina Castrucci) . Son-in-law of Salvatore Campagna (late Margherita Cacciotti) of Italy. Brother-in-law of Anna Centra (Antonio), Rev. Enzo Campagna of Brazil and Maria Campagna (Giorgio Gabrieli) of Italy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family announces the tragic death of Trevor on Saturday, October 2, 2004 in Sault Ste. Marie. Trevor will be sadly missed and he was dearly loved by his family, his friends and the communities of Pic Mobert First Nation and White River. “Always a smile on his face.” Trevor will be sadly missed by his mother Geraldine McWatch (Kay), his father Jean-Guy Witzell, his sisters Danielle, Claire and Chantal, his brothers Justin, Serge and Stephane, his grandparents Connie (late Leonard McWatch) of Mobert and Regina and Joseph Witzell of New Brunswick and his Godparents aunt Cheryl and uncle Vern McWatch. A funeral service was held on Friday, October 8, 2004 at St. John Francis Regis Church in Pic Mobert First Nation. He was laid to rest at the St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Pic Mobert First Nation.

Mother of Robert Edwards (Gladys) of Brighton, ON., Shirley Dacey (Jack) of Sault Ste. Marie, ON, and Carolyn Benoit of Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Grandmother of Dr. Mary Anne Dacey Hartley of England, Michaela Davey of Ottawa, ON., Michael Dacey of Sault Ste. Marie, ON., Daniel and Robin Edwards of Brighton, ON., Penny Jane Cooper of Trenton, ON. and Howard Edwards of Kingston, ON. Great grandmother of Stephanie, Sarah, Matthew, Zachary, Addrene, Callum, Joey and Nicholas, and the aunt of many nieces and nephews. At her request, there will be no funeral. Donations to the Parkinson’s Society would be appreciated by the family.

Suddenly on Wednesday, October 6, 2004, in St. Bruno, Quebec, at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of Blanche. Dear father of Vincent and Jim (Claude). Grandfather of Jonathan and Cynthia. Harry will be sadly missed by his brother Rob (Joy), sisters Flora (Art) and Helen, nieces Cathy (Gary) and Anne, nephew Andrew (Ravinder) and numerous other relatives and friends. Harry was an avid woodman, moose hunter and a great story teller. He was a devoted family man and he will be greatly missed for his sense of humour and warm camaraderie. The funeral will take place from Berube et Fils in Alma, Quebec on Saturday, October 9, 2004. Memorial donations may be made to the Sault Search and Rescue or the Canadian Cancer Society through the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (759-2522).
