Peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 17, 2006 after a 4 month battle with cancer, in her 79th year. She fought with courage, strength, grace and dignity throughout her illness. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Beloved wife of the late Carl Cadham. Loved mother of Fred, Phyllis Hynna (Tap), Bruce, Beverly Fabbro (Mike), Robert (Kim) and the late Marilyn Anne. Mother-in-law to Rose Hatfield. Dear Nanny of Shauna, Stacey (David), Lisa (George) and beloved grandmother of Stephen, Linda, Kevin, Michelle, Alexandra and Olivia. Great grandmother toTristen, Noah, Ashley, Brooklyn, Gavin and Taya. Daughter of the late George and Irene McLeod. Sister of George McLeod (late Ethel), Marie Jeffrey (George), Bill McLeod (late Donna) and the late Ed and Ken (Kathleen). An aunt of many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service from the chapel on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 1 pm. Pastor Jim Moffatt officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 3991 or the charity of your choice. Son of the late John and Marjorie Mertes. Brother of Gerry (Mary) and Don (Barb). Brother-in-law of the late Jim Gowan, Peggy Flanagan (Tom), Maureen Johnstone (late Bill), Tim Gowan (Bonnie) and Michael Gowan (Denise). Cherished by his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Loved by many and especially missed by his fellow members of the Soo Modelers Club and Bushplane Museum Volunteers. Cherished brother of Brenda Muscatello (Donnie). Dear uncle of Donna Cushley (Mark), Carol Pariseau, Richard Muscatello and Sandra Closs (Rick). Great uncle to Tyson, Alex, Eric, Kevin, Adrian and Vanessa. He will be sadly missed and loved eternally.
