passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at Saint Luke's Place, Cambridge. William Carr-Ellis, 91 years of age, beloved husband of the late Constance, dear father of Margaret (Tom) Oliver of Cambridge, David (Louanne) of Sault Ste. Marie, Patricia (Paul) Barry of Toronto, and Jeanne Ellis (George McFadden) of North Bay. Dear grandfather of Todd (Sarah) Oliver of Milton, Dr. Scott (Tracey) Oliver of Luxemburg, Christopher Barry of Toronto, and Graeme, Hannah and Andrew Ellis of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear great-grandfather of James Oliver of Milton and Cameron and Luke Oliver of Luxemburg. Mr. Ellis served with the R.A.F. and later the R.C.A.F. during W.W.II as a radar technician. After returning to Canada, he joined the Sault Ste. Marie Police Force and served with them until his retirement. William was involved with the Boy Scouts and also the E.M.O. in Sault Ste. Marie for many years. William's family will receive friends at the Barton & Kiteley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Saturday, October 22, 2005 from 11 am to 12 pm with a funeral service being held at 12 pm. Brother-in-law of Martha Shaw, Ursula Dube, Georgette Messacar (Frederick), Joseph Bedard (Kathy) and the late Clement Bedard. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
