Peacefully at the General Hospital on Sunday January 22, 2006; Aila Lindback in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Rafael Huhtala and the late Karl Lindback. Devoted mother of the late Rainer Huhtala (Pirjo), Brian Lindback (Linda), Harry Lindback (Donna), Ken Lindback (Angela), David Lindback (Sandy), Marlene Rivet (Ron), and Mailis Lewis. Step-mother of Eeva Kalliomaa (Kalervo) and Vicki McGrayne. Grandmother and great grandmother of many. Daughter of the late Arthur and Eva Bertin. Sister of Kalervo Bertin (Silja) of Finland. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday January 25, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Chuck served the community of Sault Ste. Marie from 1975 - 1983 as the owner of the Arthur Funeral Home. Peacefully at home on Sunday, January 22, 2006 at the age of 81 years. Loving husband of Josie and the late Lorraine. Father of Phyllis (Roy), Bob, late Val and Heather (Dave). Brother of Dorn (Colleen), Mado (Nancy), late Rollie (Gerri) and the late Greg. Step dad of Barbie (Hal), Jacqueline (Ray) and Paula (Larry). Grandfather of 12. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 from 6-9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Precious Blood Cathedral on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 10 am. Rev. Alex MacDonald officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, January 20, 2006 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of “Toshy” Walter for 47 years. Loving mother of Michael (Valerie). Cherished step-grandmother of Kylee Chanas (Nick) and Tyler. Daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Coleffi. Dear sister of Gordon Coleffi (Marie) and Helen Running (late Tom). Predeceased by her sisters Evelyn Braido (husband Gino), Elia Amaroso (late Alex), Aurora Delbianco (late Neilo), Velma Cedolia (husband Guido) and Eva Chaon (husband Leroy). Sister-in-law of John Maich (Sophie). Predeceased by her sister-in-law Bessie Wheatley (late Bill) and Mickey Vrbanac (husband Frank). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Maich was the owner of the “Vanity Shoppe” also known as Alba’s on James Street. During her bookkeeping career, she worked for her parents-in-law at “The New Toronto Hotel” on James Street. Alba was very much involved in the community. She was the founder of the ladies bocci league for 20 years “Ingoteers”, She was the co-founder of the “Young At Heart Club”, she was involved in the “Friendship Games” and was the organizer of many seniors bus trips to the Casinos and dinners at Minelli’s Restaurant. She loved spending time at her cottage at Batchewana Bay. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 from 6-9 pm. Funeral service will be from the chapel on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 3 pm. Mr. Peter Aceti officiating. Internment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Group Health Center Trust Fund, Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the S.A.H. Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Born May 1, 1915 in Gordon Lake, the eldest daughter of Margaret and Garnet Bell. Beloved wife of the late Murdoch McPhee. She left us peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2006. Thelma's love and strength is remembered with loving gratitude by her family - Margaret and Keith Cameron, Allan and Carole McPhee, Earl and Nancy McPhee, Helen and Ernie Dynie, Lynn and Betty McPhee and Keith and Margaret McPhee. She was the cherished grandmother and great grandmother of John and Ruth Cameron (Vincent), Susan and Dan Dodson (Jennifer, Sean and Amy), Jim Cameron and Kim Christie, Debbie McPhee and Brian Egglesfield, David and Mary McPhee (Jamie and Billy), Darren and Leslie McPhee (Danielle, Malcolm and Jack), Jeannie and Bob Fremlin (Dylan and Wyatt), Jenna Dynie and Chris De Ruiter (Jake, Evan and Alex), Steve and Michael Dynie, Pam and George Ellis, Clifford Fairbarn (Kyle and Mitchell), Kelly and Bill Hough (Sarah, Callie and Tyler) and Adam McPhee, Rebecca, Stephanie and Timothy McPhee. Thelma will be missed by her brothers and sister Wib Bell (Jessie), Ilene MacDonald (Stan) and Bob Bell (Kathy) and brother-in-laws Jim McPhee (Marilyn) and Fred Harrison. Thelma was predeceased by her eldest son Jack, her great grandson Brett, her sisters, Verna Torrance McLellan (Tracy, Evan), Helen McGregor (Dean) and brothers Alex and Lloyd. She is fondly remembered by her many nephews, nieces and valued friends. Marie, the late Margaret Matthews (late Howard), late James and the late William (Dorothy). Special nephew of and raised by the late Angus and Anna McHardy. Sadly missed by his cousins, nieces and nephews. Loving mother of Janet Simpson (Tom) of Sudbury, Dorothy Barlow (Jim) of Thessalon, Sharon Whitford (Basil) of Orangeville, Karen Cousineau (Paul) of Hanmer, Jerry Twa (Brenda) of Toronto, Lorna Senecal (Bud) of Hawk Junction and Margaret Laforest (Claude) Garson. She will be sadly missed by her 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Billy Waltenbury of Elliot Lake, Vimy Dolphin of Stoney Creek, brother Bob Wells of Hamilton and the late Wilfred, Clinton Wells, Ollie, Ruby, Eunice and Bea. Remembered with love by numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon where friends may call on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service private. Fondly remembered by her niece, nephews, Doctors Memory-Elvin and Walter Lewis and her special friend Pat McClure. A funeral service will be held at the St. Luke's Cathedral on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. The Very Rev. Garry Dobinson officiating.
