Peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Doris for 61 years. Son of the late John and Lena Kennedy. Loving father of Janet Cameron (Jeff), John (Marilyn), Peter (Helen), Joseph (Michele), Jewel Porter (Brian) and the late Gordon. Cherished grandfather of 17 and great grandfather of 21. Dear brother of Gertrude Nadon (late Ross), Martin (Betty), late Ashton (late Mary), late Lenard, late Clifford (Eunice), late Cecil, late Theodore, late Leslie (Sylvia), late Barry (Cecilia), late Emmett (late Audrey), late Lillian and the late Mansel. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, October 16, 2006 from 6-9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated from the Precious Blood Cathedral on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at 11 am. Rev. Roy McParland officiating. Suddenly at the tender age of 40 years. Soul mate of Emilio Andreola. Cherished mother of Christine (Lonnie L’Heureux), and Samantha McEwan. Forever friend of Lyndsay Diotte (Father of Christine and Samantha). Beloved step-mother of Stacey (Frank) Van Grunsven and Michelle (Jerome) Diotte. Much loved daughter of Neil (Anne) and the late Yvonne McEwan of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Fun loving sister of Marian Wood (Gary Watt), Rose (Tony Aceti), Carolyn Proulx, Wayne, Bobby, Late Steven, Tina, Bill, Russell, Penny (Sharon), Neil Jr., and Debbie (Don) Beesley. She’ll be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of Lynda’s short life will be held on Tuesday, October 17th from 6-9pm at O’Sullivan Donnelly Funeral Home with funeral service from the chapel on Wednesday October 18th, 2006 at 11am. Donations to Christine and Samantha’s Education Fund would be much appreciated by the family. “Always Loved…Never Forgotten.”

Peacefully, after a courageous battle, surrounded by his family on Monday, October 16, 2006 at the Sault Area Hospital; Armos Piazza at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Dorothy. Loving father of Gail Vit (Renzo) and Robert (Rhonda). Treasured grampa of Michael Vit (Shannon Socchia), Trisha Vit (Paul Brough), Brent and Sean Piazza. Son of the late Joseph and Esterina Piazza. Brother of Mary Zorzit (late Alfelio), John (Sylvia), Lino (Pat), Ernie (Lureen) and pre-deceased by Primo (late Yvonne), Annie Ladubec (late Michael) and Albert. Brother-in-law of Harry Moskal (Rhoda), Carol Armstrong, Norma Campbell (George) and the late Ronnie Jensen. Armos will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He will sadly missed by all of his fishing buddies. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Proud grandmother of Chris & Jeff Rantamaki (Tina, Kyle) and Brandon & Dustin Curts. Sister of Mae Donovan, Ruth Rokar and Dolores Johnson and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by her family and friends. At Bernice’s request, a private family service will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. Rev. He was the greatest grandfather to Rob (Kim), Liza (Terance), Susan (Scott), Jacob, Rina, Alyssa (Daniel) and the late Tricia. Great grandpa to Noah, Ethan, Connor, Avy, Mikayla and Ellie. Beloved son of the late Catarina and Nicola Scali. Brother to Meme (Joe), Abbie (Rina) and the late Joe (Norma), late Louis (Mary) and late Rosie (Eugene). Son in law of Sarah Chicarelli and the late Angelo. Brother in law of Eva Thibodeau (Henry), Rita Lauzon (Bernie), Velma Fregonese, Anna Fera (Tony), Ronald Chicarelli (late Ingrid), Sandra Cook (Charlie) and Danny Chicarelli. Beloved husband of Judi, loving father of Patricia (James Gray) and Stephanie (Sandy Paton) all of Manitouwadge. Special Poppy of Shane, Amy, Savannah, and Hunter. Dear brother of Sandra White of Winnipeg, Judy (Tony Jarvis) of Edmonton and the late Blanche Warren. Predeceased by his parents Eunice and William Harris. In keeping with Bill's wishes a private family service will be held. Interment Manitouwadge Cemetery. Who passed away at the age of 95 years, on Tuesday, June 6th, 2006 at Extendicare York in Sudbury where she had moved to, on May 1st, 2006. She is survived by her sister Raili Hautaniemi of Sudbury and brothers Aaro and Sauli Hautaniemi of Finland as well as many nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews, as she was one of 13 children, both in Canada and Finland. Predeceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters in Finland and 3 sisters in Canada. Most grievously missed by Raili with whom she shared living accommodations for more than 50 years since immigrating to Canada in 1952. She and Raili were devout members of the Finnish Pentecostal Church which Raili still attends and supports. Raili, a retired nursed, cared for Martta with unwavering devotion in these latter years as Martta's health deteriorated, as well as attending to her needs every day at Extendicare York until she passed away. Dearly missed also by her nephews; John (Aulis) Suominen (wife Lorna) of Barrie, Jack (Jaakko) Tyynela (wife Lynn) of Sudbury, Bill (William) (wife Agnes) and Henry (Heimo) Tyynela, both of Matheson, as well as by her nieces; Margaret (Margi) Yli-Juuti (husband Ruben) of Elliot Lake and Marianne Puiras (husband Rauno) of New Market. Also predeceased by her nephews Peter (Pekka - 1980) Suominen (surviving wife Liisa of Sudbury). Funeral Service in the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St., Sudbury on Saturday, June 10th, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Paavo Korpela will be officiating. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the Sudbury Regional Hospital, Cancer Centre, would be greatly appreciated. (Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. on Saturday).
