September 5, 1909-August 2, 2006. Wife of the late George White, Mother of Sally Naphan., Grandmother of Bill and Patrick Naphan. Mother-in-law of Frank Naphan. Cora passed peacefully away in her 97th year at Gibson Long Term Care Centre in Toronto. Cora is aunt to Pat McCreight and her children John, Debbie, Gary and Lee of Southern Ontario and also the last aunt to many Whites from the Sault Ste. Marie area. Cora was honorary grandmother to Jana Murphy in B.C. We want to thank Janet Mills for being Cora's "special angel" for these past years. Cora taught school for many years in the Sault. passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at the age of 42. Cherished daughter of Keith Cook and the late Lola. Dearly loved and special sister of Laurie Evoy (Gordon) and Allen Cook (Pam). Much loved special aunt of Bradley Evoy (Sara), Tricia MacKay (Keith), Corey Cook (Melissa) and Carly Cook (Blake). Proud great aunt of Hailey Evoy and Nelson MacKay. Dear niece of Harvey Evoy (Jackie) of Indiana, Elaine Katerenchuk (late Ron) and the late Bill Cook (late Louise). Born in London England in 1919, Sid Good, former RAF flight lieutenant and district accountant for the Ministry of Transportation (Sault Ste Marie), passed away on July 30th 2006 in Barrie, Ontario. Survived by Dora (Dorothy Mary Bly), his wife of 58 years, and children Ann (Brian LeConte), John (Lorrie), Cindy (Brian Blackburn), and Pauline (John Massicotte). Beloved Grandad to Andrew and Cale Good, Nathalie and Noelle Le Conte-Good, Monique, John and Meghan Massicotte. Some of the highlights of Sid's life were: being trained under the Commonwealth Air Training Plan in North Battleford, Sask; earning the Distinguished Flying Cross in 1944 on bomber command; flying British Air Transport Command through the Middle East to India in 1946; marrying Dora and immigrating with her, Ann and John in 1957. He travelled extensively in the U.K., Europe, Ivory Coast, Argentina and India. Until Alzheimer's disease slowed him down, he loved ballroom dancing, camping, bowling and photography. His family was the centre of his universe. Much gratitude to Community Care Access in Sault Ste Marie and especially to Roberta Place of Barrie for their exceptional care. September 29 1917 – July 28 2006. Peacefully at the General Hospital after a brief stay. Predeceased by her husband Stanley (Lad), brothers Richard and Jackie Robinson. Dear sister of Mary Ellen Gartshore (Tony). Loving mother of Michael Hermiston (Barbara Mills) of London, and Anne Hermiston (Mike Bowie) of Sault Ste. Marie. Grandmother of Alexandra Moar of the Sault and great grandmother of Gabrielle and Michael. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jean was a long time parishioner of Central United Church and a member of the Flora Rebekah Lodge. At Jean’s request there will be no visitation. Memorial service to be held Friday, August 4, 2006 at 10 am in the sanctuary of the Central United Church, 60 Spring Street, with fellowship to follow the service at the church hall. Rev. Loving grandfather of Tom (Alice), Wes, John (Amy), Chris (Mary), Chantelle (Dale), Alanna, Jamie, Anthony, Larry, Candice, Logan, Jody, Adam and the late Dennis. Great grandfather of Curtis, Austin, Hunter, Mya, Kendra and Jazsper. Beloved son of the late Gilbert and Winnefred Willis. Elizabeth Shaughnessy of Sault Ste. Marie, formerly of Espanola, passed away at F.J. Davey Home, Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday, February 26th, 2005 in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Shaughnessy (1978). Dear daughter of the late Theodore and Julie (nee McFarling) Miron. Loving mother of Robert (wife Margaret) of Espanola and Maureen Shaughnessy of Toronto. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren, Patricia Tait (fiancé Matt Mitro) of Sarnia, Daniel (wife Joy) of Espanola and Kathryn Fenton (husband Rick) of Winnipeg and great-grandchildren, Crystal, Daniel, Geordie, Melissa, Lise and great-great grandson, Cameron. Very dear sister of Mrs. Minna Dubreuil of Sarnia. Predeceased by 12 brothers and sister. Elizabeth had a talent for writing and she especially enjoyed contributing articles to the Espanola Standard and Sudbury Star. During her time in Sault Ste. Marie she submitted numerous personal commentary of a political nature to the Sault Star much to the enjoyment of the senior population. Elizabeth had many other interests. She was outgoing and friendly. She was beautiful in life as she is in death.
