Peacefully at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice, after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, December 14, 2008; Alice Skouris at the age of 74 years. Dear mother of Margaret Marinich (Joe), Brenda Dixon (Joe), Kenneth Wynne, Danny Wynne (Dina), Gary Wynne (Christine), Dougie Mann (Theresa), Peter Mann, Carol O'Donnell and Geraldine Thorburn. Loving grandmother of Mallory, Joni, Christopher, Jonathon, Matthew, Jeremy, Nolan, Cory & Bryan. Dear sister of Norma Sherlock (late Ernie), William 'Skory' Skouris (Madeline), Florence Bertolo (Leo), Isabelle Wilson (Bill), Peter Skouris (Mary Anne), late Alfred Skouris (Barbara), late John Skouris (Fernande), late Jean Tauriainen (Karlos), predeceased by her twin sister Anne Tremblay (late Fern) and the late David Skouris. At Alice's request, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. Spring interment at Pine Grove Cemetery, Hawk Junction. Memorial donations made to Algoma Residential Community Hospice (A.R.C.H.) would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758).

passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, December 14, 2008 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Gertrude. Loving father of Debbie Mossa-Hudson (Ed), Michael and the late John. Grandpa to Adam and also to Julie, Scott, Andrea, Jada and Rylan. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m. with Monsignor Victor Amadio officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Ontario Finnish Resthome Association would be appreciated by the family. Peter's family wishes to acknowledge the care given by the staff of Kotitalo and Dr. Cziffer and a special thank you for the care and compassion shown by the nursing staff of Care West at Sault Area Hospital.

1925-2008 - The family of Irene Pigeon, sadly announce her death on December 11th at the age of 83 years, loving wife of the late Raymond S. Pigeon (1991), beloved mother of Bernice Glew (husband late Peter) of Sault Ste.Marie, Ont, and Brian Raymond Pigeon of Timmins. Irene will be sadly missed by: her three grandchildren Michael Glew, Michelle Glew, Audrey-Anne Pigeon and dear sister Mrs. Jean Giovanella (husband Charles) of Haileybury. Irene was predeceased by her parents Regina and Lee Clement and her brother Edward. The family wishes for you to commemorate Irene’s life and remember her in your prayers. As per her request a private service was held. Gladys was predeceased by her brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. In respecting Gladys' wishes a private family service was held. Mr. Jim Findlay officiated. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Kingdom Hall or Extendicare Van Daele would be appreciated by the family. She will be dearly missed by her children Stephen of Guelph, Richard (Jan) of Barrie, Nancy Milosevich (Paul) of Sault Ste. Marie and Peter of Bracebridge. She will be fondly remembered by her granddaughters Jennifer Parkinson and Wrayanne MacDougall as well as her sister Pat Foster (David) of London, Ontario. Special friend and companion Joan Aldred of Kirkland Lake, who has assisted Jane in many ways will miss her. Visitation at the Monette & French Funeral Home in Kirkland Lake on Saturday Jan. 10, 2009 at 10:00a.m., funeral service will follow. Reverand David Naylor officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Humane Society.

Much loved Nonno of Allan Jr., Nikki Cloutier (Dany), Amanda Lebel (Aaron), Jason Perri, Michael Perri, Ann Marie Perri, Rebecca Chicorli, Amanda Perri and Daniel Perri. Pro Nonno to Vincent, Kali, and Oscar. Brother of Ralph (Rosina), Carmine (Filomena), the late Francesca (Umile), and the late Giuseppina (Frederico).He is also survived by many nephews and nieces. Friends may call at O’Sullivan Donnelly Funeral Home and Cremation Center, corner of Cathcart and St. James Sts., Wednesday December 17 th from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass Thursday December 18th at St. Veronicas Church, Douglas St. at 11 a.m. with Rev. They would have celebrated their 62nd. Wedding anniversary on Monday December 15th, 2008. Loving father of Lina Plastino (Ralph), Angelo Milano and Marisa Gosselin (Doug). Cherished Papa of Ralph Plastino, Amie Middleton (Scott), Jennifer Sloss (Bill), Lisa Smith (Mike), Vicki Milano (Shane), Christopher, Melanie, and Johnathan Farrell. Special Great Papa to Brady, Mackenzie, Gavin, Sarah, and Owen.Loving brother of Oreste Milano (Marcolina) of Italy, Concetina Dibaia(Salvatore) of Italy, Auristella Lubertino(Joe) of Sault Ste Marie, Italia Borraro(Teodoro) of Sudbury and Sisto Milano (Norisa) of Sault Ste Marie .Dear brother in law of Ida Coluni (lateLuigi). Frank will be missed by his many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends . He lived his life to the fullest. His hobbies included trap shooting, and hunting, which he enjoyed alongside his good friend Gino Palumbaro. Frank was the owner and operator of Frank’s Body Shop for over 46 years, a second home where he entertained many friends. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to the Palliative Care Unit or A.R.C.H. would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Sault Area Hospital Emergency Department, and the nurses in the I.C.U. and Critical Care. Special thanks to the entire staff on 2A and Palliative Care for their compassion during this difficult time. The family would also like to thank Dr. Gupta, Dr. Grosso, Kathy Palombi and Norma-Jean for all the years of care and Dr Mathew and Dr. Robertson for the great care he received in hospital.
