After a journey of 89 years, peacefully at home on Monday, March 10, 2008, surrounded by loving family and friends, joined the Lord as well as his beautiful wife Theresa, waiting so long for him; leaving much love behind for children Cathy Sawer (Ben), Hugh (Kim), Jeannie Wilson (Steve) and especially Jamie; proud poppa to grandchildren Rachel, David, Andrea, Brian (Rachel), Robert, Jamie, Kyle, Sam, Ben and Julia; great grampa to Quinn, Kate, Aislinn, Emily and Max; Special friend of Sally and Bob Wismer; a transplanted Maritimer who never lost his love of the sea or talking in the kitchen; Proudly fought with the British 1st Airborne Red Devils in WW II and was captured at Arnhem; after seeing war he treasured peace…and an occasional scotch; Left behind many friends and no enemies. A visitation will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 11 am until time of memorial service in the chapel at 1 pm. Rev. Hamish Currie officiating. Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, March 9, 2008 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of Anders (Andy) Pedersen. Loving mother of Shirley Leigh (Johnson), Pat Carroll (Helen), late Doreen Dubblestein, Betty Cristello (Rocky), Colleen Wright, Duaine Carroll, Andrea Pedersen and Anders Pedersen. Devoted grandmother of 20, great grandmother of 25 and great, great grandmother of 4. Special sister of 6. Peggy’s caring nature and loving spirit invited many more into her family and they all became “her children”. She has greatly influenced the lives of many and will live in our hearts forever. Friends and family may attend the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 134 Brock Street on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 for visitation from 6:30 pm until time of service at 7:30 pm. Rev.
