Our precious little angel went to be with her Lord after a courageous battle on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the age of 9. Cherished daughter of Joseph and Liana. Much loved sister of Matthew and twin sister of Caitlin. Adored granddaughter of Riccardo and Renata Casonato and Paolino and Emma Novello. Special niece of Donny and Andrea Casonato, Albert and Joanne Novello, Santo and Darlene Novello, Mario and Carmela Novello and Pat and Anna Novello. Cousin of Nancy (Ronny), Paul (Amanda), Melanie (Devon), Katie (Rob), Cindy, Christina (Michael), Frank, Melissa (Ian), Stephen, Ethan and Evan. Mikayla will be sadly missed by her friends and the staff at the St. Paul’s Elementary School. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 6 – 9 p.m. Funeral mass to be celebrated from St. Gerard Majella Church ( 211 Pentagon Blvd) on Friday, February 22, 2008 at 10 a.m. Rev. George LaPierre C.S.B. officiating. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the SAH Cancer Care Fund, Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Walde and Dr. Battel and to the caring staff of the Palliative Care and Oncology Units for the compassion shown to Mikayla and our family during this difficult time.

Brother-in-law of Ed Cloutier (Lynn), Mark Cloutier (Linda) and Anne Godfrey (Andy). Loved nephew of Ruth Therien and cousin of Dayn, Kerry, Cathy and Patricia. Best friend of Lois Kinghorn. COMERY, William Frank B.A., L.L.B., Q.C.  (1930 - 2008) It is with great sadness that we advise of Bill's sudden death at his residence on Saturday, January 19, 2008. Those who mourn his loss are his wife, Terry, his brother Tom (Elaine) and his children, Susan (Chad), Frank (Susan) and John (Robin). His grandchildren of whom he was so proud are: Francis, Teresa, Colette, Michaela, Raven and Ireland. He often expressed his delight at the accomplishments and abilities of his grandchildren. He will also be missed by friends too numerous to mention with the exception of two special people, Sandra Valeriote and Carlo Adamo. Bill was predeceased by his daughter Jeannine and travelling friend, Stan Price. Bill and Ed Fleury were the founding partners of the law firm Fleury, Comery LLP in Highland Creek in 1959. Bill retired from the firm in 2005. He was highly respected in his profession by his friends, colleagues and the Courts. He was an honest advocate and proud of his reputation. A private family service was held. There will be a gathering of family and friends to share memories at Scarboro Golf & Country Club at 321 Scarborough Golf Club Road, Scarborough, on Sunday, February 17, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Donations, if you are so moved, to Bill's favourite charities Scarborough Foreign Missions or Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be appreciated by the family.

passed away peacefully at the Plummer Hospital on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at the age of 73. Daughter of the late Hazel and Neil Barker. Beloved mother of Brian Barker. Dear sister of Thelma Laughlin (late Al), the late Orval (Maureen) and the late Ellwood (Isabelle). Special aunt of Rick, Bill, Keith, Debbie, Sally, Anne and Peggy. Great aunt of Danny and other nieces and nephews. Remembered by her late husband Joe Armour. Sadly missed by her loving cat Buttons. Born September 6, 1947. Nurtured by her parents (late) Bert Dyke and Phyllis Ewing (Mann, Dyke). passed away unexpectedly in her sleep, February 7, 2008. Loving sister of Nancy and Gil Sachro. Devoted aunt of Lindsay and Jon Mitchell (Calgary) and Greg Sachro (Toronto). Step-daughter of (late) Charles Ewing. Step-sister of Marlene Bishop and family (BC). Remembered lovingly by cousins Laura Griswold, Kathryn Cooke and Susan Mann (Sault) and others in southern Ontario, Alberta and BC. Best friend of Phyllis and Glowinn Gibson, Julie Chan, Marilene Lomas, Giselle Wood-Solomon, Cheryl and Henry Maidras and others at the Canadian Hearing Society. Lynda enjoyed a full and active life. She enjoyed her travels with family and with the Sunshine Travel Club. Lynda had fun playing cards, watching Saturday night hockey games and working on her computer. Her skills as a knitter, rug maker and crafter were well known. From a fragile infant with many disabilities, she grew up into a wonderful, contributing citizen who took pride in being able to live independently. Lynda had a great sense of humour and was quick to give a smile. Her heart was full of love and concern for all she knew. A memorial service will be held at Central United Church Fireside room (side entrance, Spring & Albert St.) on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 11 am. A reception will follow. A kind gentle soul is gone from our midst. Give someone a hug in her memory. Donations in Lynda’s memory can be made to ARCH or the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital.
