It is with great sadness that the family of Jim Legacy announces his passing on January 21, 2008 at the Sault Area Hospital in his 83rd year. Husband of the late Louise Marie. Father of Bernice Guitard, Edward Pitre (Gert), Roger Legacy (Lynn), Nancy Sangelais (Mike Gardner) and Jerry Legacy (Gwen). Special Pepéré and Great Pepéré to many. Brother of Alice and the late Donald Goodwin, the late Peter and Tay Legacy, the late Leonard and Margaret Legacy, and the late Alphonse and June Legacy. Good friend of Rita Moore. Jim is survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, January 25, 2008 from 2 pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 3 pm. Peacefully at the General Hospital on Friday, January 18, 2008; Lucretia Kennedy in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Ray Kennedy. Dear mother of the late Catherine VanLeuwen (Leo), Florence Bouchard (Gerry), Raymond Kennedy (Carmel) and Alfred Kennedy (Lorraine). Grandmother of Mary Ann Kuntz (Stephen), Leo VanLeuwen Jr. (Linda), Michael VanLeuwen, Catherine and Brent Bouchard, Paula Trainor (Matt), Pamela Harrington (Alan), Ramona Kennedy (fiancé Jeff Nisbet), Donovan Kennedy (Andrea), Leslie and Chelsey Kennedy. Great grandmother of Sarah, Kristen, Liam, Nicholas, Hannah and Evan. Great great grandmother of Gabrielle. Dear daughter of the late Florence and Alfred Pepin. Sister of the late Beatta Pepin, the late Mercedes Pepin and the late Alfreida Frieberger (late Karl). Lucretia will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. A private family funeral service was held at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. Interment will take place at a later date in Blind River. Memorial donations made to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (A.R.C. H.) would be greatly appreciated by the family. The family would like to thanks Dr. D. Bignall and the nursing staff on the 5th floor at the General Hospital.

Peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his family, at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the age of 61 years. Romain will always be cherished by his best friend and care giver, Mary Lou Warmington. Dear father of Theresa, Jackie (Jamie), Chantal (Terry) and Joanne (Ted) of Sault Ste. Marie, Tammy (Gates) of Elliot Lake, Debbie (Armand) of Sudbury, Lianne (Jeff) of Barrie, Candace (Brian) of Kingston and also remembered by the mother of his children Susan Lafontaine of Elliot Lake. Stepfather of Lenora (John), Brenda (James), Brandon of Sault Ste. Marie and Ken (Sheri) of Australia. Grandfather of many and great grandfather of one great granddaughter. Brother of Allen, Jack, Marguette, late Yvan, Fernande, Lorne, Josette and Norman. At Romain's request, no service will be held. Cremation and burial will take place at a later date. Exceptional Pappa of Billy (Terri), Linda (Rick), Laura (Rod), Ruthy (Adam), Danny (Amanda), Shannon and Hélène. Great Pappa to Casandra, Dustin, Rilley, Lily, Katelyn, Chloe and Phoebe. Son of the late Patrick and Beatrice O’Brien. Sadly missed by his sisters, Verdun Begg (late Bob), Maurita Rintoul (late Albert) (late Andy) and predeceased by Hélène MacDonald (John), Sheila Parkin (Jim) and Jim (Gwen). Brother-in-law of Thelma McFarling (late Yvan), Leonard Brennan (late Diane), late Pearl Brooks (Fred) and predeceased by Bessie Brennan, Oliver & Simone Brennan, Tim & Micky Brennan, Maureen & Bill McFarling and Theresa Brennan. Dad will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and long time neighbours. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus. passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday January 19, 2008. Nadine Iris O'Brien in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Peter O'Brien and loving mother of Ellen Derasp (Lal), Colleen, Randy, Dennis (Denise), Gary (Julie), Peter and the late Buddy O'Brien. Daughter of the late Alex and Annie King and sister of Lynn (Eunice), Ron (Helen), Wayne (late Bertha), Colin and Brian (Louise) King. Sister in Law to Roberta Lambert (late Clarence), Rena Dumanski (Joe), Ida Smart, Ellen King (Gerry) and Marty O'Brien (Anita). Nadine is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. At Nadine's request there will be no visitation.
