Saturday, April 13, 1918 - Tuesday, May 23, 2006

Armstrong, Louis Millar (RCNR CNR)
passed away peacefully at Scarborough Grace Hospital on Tuesday May 23, 2006 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Bernice. Loving brother to George and his wife Marianne, and Kathleen McDonald. Uncle to Susan Armstrong and her partner Brian, and Peter Armstrong and his wife Michele. Devoted Great-Uncle to Kelly, Melissa and her husband Andrew and their daughter Mya. Family and friends may call at SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, 873 Kingston Road (West of Victoria Park Ave.) Toronto (416-698-2861) on Thursday May 25, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in Lou's memory on Friday May 26, 2006 at 11 o'clock. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.

Mrs. Paula Hanley
Wednesday, November 30, 1966 - Monday, May 29, 2006

With grace, courage and on her own terms, Paula passed away on Monday, May 29, 2006 at the age of 39 after an all out 3 year battle with breast cancer. Peacefully at home with her husband Dermot, forever friend, Patty, and her parents. Paula had spent the morning watching cartoons with her much loved 5 year old son, Pierce. In addition to her husband, son and parents, Sylvia and John Stark, Paula is survived by brothers John, and David, sister-in-law Susan, nephew Colin and niece Lauren Stark, and in-laws Denis and Eileen, Dermot's siblings Roisin, Conor, Damian and Irish nieces Katherine and Isabelle. Predeceased by her sister Susan.

Through this last year, Paula has inspired those around her with her determination, sense of humour, and positive attitude while always putting the needs of her husband and son first. She died as she lived with poise and an independent spirit. Paula had many, many friends that she collected throughout her life, from JK and high school, to her days at Western and Citibank, and her life in Toronto, Ireland, New York and France. Friends will be received at the SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, 873 Kingston Road (west of Victoria Park Avenue) Toronto (416-698-2861) on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 2, 2006 at 10 o'clock from CORPUS CHRISTI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (Queen Street East at Lockwood). Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, "In Memory of Paula Hanley", donations to the Food Share for the Good Food Box Program, 200 Eastern Avenue, Toronto, ON M5A 1J0 would be appreciated by the family.

Sullivan - Douglas - (Retired GMC employee) passed away suddenly on May 16, 2006 at his residence in his 70 th year. Doug, predeceased by his partner Betty Diamond (1988). Loving son of the late Henry and Ethel Sullivan. Much loved brother of Lillian Cake (Gord), Gladys Richard (Greg), Herb Sullivan and predeceased by brother Tom Sullivan. Uncle Doug will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. TALBOT, ENA (nee Plummer): It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ena on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at the Chester Village Nursing Home in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Alfred. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children Diane Thompson, Howard (Lois), and Ena-May Bovenizer. Ena will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Bob (Elizabeth), Jim (Karen), Kathy (Jeff), Jamie, Kristine, and Michael. She will always be remembered in the hearts of her great-grandchildren Derek, Myles, and Jonathan. Dear sister of Sydney, and the late Emlyn. Suddenly at St. Joseph's Hospital on May 4, 2006 at the age of 64. Survived by his dear brother James Elwood Swenor and also by his aunt Genevieve Meyrick. Predeceased by his parents Clayton and Evelyn. He will be fondly remembered by his closest surviving relatives. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service held in Michael's honour at Pine Hills Cemetery (625 Birchmount Road, Toronto) on Friday May 12, 2006 at 11 o'clock. Predeceased by her husband William and son, Edward. Loving mother of Lois Lawson-Ellis and Dave Ellis. Greatly missed by her nephew Hugh, Debbie Rutledge and sons Ryan and Eddie. Sister of Gwen and Doug Alexander, Florence and Bill Matthews, Jean and Al Budgell, John and Eileen Rutledge, and sister in law Gwen Rutledge. Predeceased by her siblings, Clifford Rutledge, Paul Rutledge and Louise Layzell. Grace will be lovingly remembered by family members, cousins, many nieces, nephews, piano students and friends.
