At Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, September 29, 3007. Michael Sheardown passed away suddenly in his 44th year. Dear father of Tyler and wife Patricia (Milar). ear son of Harold and Rose Sheardown. Survived by loving brothers John Sheardown, Wayne Sheardown and his wife Jo-Ann, sisters Penny and her husband Don Bricker, Karen and husband Ron Tyndall, Kathy and husband Scott Jenkins. Michael will be missed also by his many nieces and nephews and his many good friends. A private family service was held on Friday, October 5, 2007 at Maitland Cemetery, Goderich.

It is with great sadness that we announce our father passed away, peacefully, at home on Saturday, October 6, 2007 in his 71st year. Cherished father of Trudy (Mark) Loney, Tracy Monaghan, Tricia Dee and Randy Dee, and Richard (Barb) Monaghan. Beloved grandfather of Kerri (Nathan) Brooks, Christopher, Jordan, Ryan, Scott, Cassandra, Toby and Timmy. Great grandfather of Caleb and Lucas. Dearest companion of Galiah Halligan. Survived by his sister Maureen Brindley. Predeceased by his parents William and Alice, his son William Lloyd and his wife Shirley.
The family will receive friends at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes 435 Davis Drive on Tuesday between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (1111 Taylor-Kidd Blvd) on Wednesday, October 10 at 1 p.m. Rite of Committal with Prayers to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Donations, for those wishing, may be made to either the Diabetes Association or the Arthritis Society.

Loving father of Luke, Mark, Shawn, Tess, Anna, Ria, Ben and predeceased by infant daughter Natalie. Dear son of Bill & Anne Van Osch of Goderich. Brother of Jim (Terrie) Van Osch, Joanne (Blaise) Doherty, Ed (Cindy) Van Osch, Ken (Lisa) Van Osch, Sally (Dave) Woodland. Son-in-law of Clarice Dalton and the late Mark Dalton, brother-in-law of Louise Martin, Maureen (Ed) Chilton, Denise Dalton, Ann (Bruce) Pritchard, Paul (Joni) Dalton, Shawn (Laurie) Dalton, Jackie (Art) Simpson, Mia (John) Rosario. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at McCallum & Palla Funeral Home, Cambria Rd. at East St. Goderich on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kingsbridge on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 11 AM. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. CHRISTIE, Muriel F. passed away peacefully on October 5, 2007 at the age of 93 at Malden Park. Formerly of Central Park Lodge. Predeceased by her husband William (1987). Beloved mother of Howard Christie and wife Lynn of Ohio and Alastair Christie of Windsor. Dear grandmother of Amy and Jilian Christie. Predeceased by her brother James Milligan. Aunt of Anthony Milligan. Great Aunt of George and Clara Milligan, Jack Milligan, and Susie Milligan. The family would like to thank all the staff of Central Park Lodge for all their kindness and care given to Muriel over the last several years. Your thoughtfulness will always be remembered.
Memorial visitation will be held at the JANISSE BROS-MARCOTTE FUNERAL HOME, 1139 Ouellette Ave. from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2007. Interment at Victoria Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 10 a.m.

Loving "Nonno" of Anthony Joseph Mucaria. Beloved son of his late parents: Vita (nee Gallo) (1981) adn Giuseppe Mucaria (1982). Dear brother of Biaggio and his wife Caterina, Benedetto and his wife Vita and the late Antonino (1977) and his wife Anna. Dear brother-in-law of Matteo Foggia, Isidoro Foggia and Vita and her husband Francesco Cusenza. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews in Sicily.
Visiting on Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 10:15 a.m. from the JANISSE BROS-MARCOTTE FUNERAL HOME, 1139 Ouellette Ave., Windsor then to St. Angela Merici Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Geraldine “Iris” Hruska, aged 82 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Care Group. She will be lovingly remembered by her family; son Bruce and Carmen Fortier and their daughter Julie and their son Richard all of Thunder Bay; son Albert (Melanie) Fortier of Longlac and their children Glen (Theresa), Alen (Laura), Albert (Kelly), Brian (Medari), Oscar Leonard (Debra) and Adrienne (Robin), and her caring granddaughter Kristie (Dennis) Ellchook, 16 great grandchildren; dear sister of Audrey (Ken) Gunby, Norma Vera (late Ronald) Anderson, Lorena (Frank) Brown, Wilma (Stan) Best, Muriel (Guido) Tocheri, Edna (Ernie) Baturniak all of Thunder Bay. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Iris was predeceased by her devoted husband Alfonse Hruska, her special daughter Donna Fortier, sister Evelyn and her husband Douglas Crawford, her father James Howard Cook who died overseas while in the Royal Canadian Air Force on January 23, 1945 and her mother Jane Cook (Lawson) on November 2, 1962. Iris was born and raised in Stanley and later attended school in Fort William. She was employed at several department stores and also at Can Car. She married Alfonse Hruska and they lived in Red Rock before coming to Thunder Bay upon his retirement. Iris enjoyed gardening and was a good homemaker who was always willing to be the hostess for various gatherings. She also enjoyed traveling to Western Canada with Alfonse to visit family. A memorial service for Mrs. Hruska will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bert Vancook officiating. A luncheon will follow in the Jenkens Funeral Home Reception Centre prior to interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
