Mrs. Joanne Marlene Quick (Potts)
February 25, 1943 - October 8, 2007
QUICK, JOANNE (nee POTTS) - After a courageous brief battle with cancer, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Monday, October 8, 2007 at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital. Beloved and cherished wife for 43 years of William "Bill" Quick. Loved mother of Susan Weir (Herb) and Brian (Anne). Adored Grandmother of Erika and Logan. Dear sister of Kathryn Dalmer (Bob) and sister-in-law of John Quick. Remembered dearly by her niece Shannon Lochhead (Glen) and their children Liam and Aidan.
Joanne retired as a registered nurse, working at Kingston Psychiatric Hospital and Ongwanada Hospital. Joanne will be missed by her many sisters in the Beta Sigma Phi Chapters in Kingston, the volunteers at Festival of the Trees and The Lung Association "Garden Festival."
Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Drive (Centennial Dr. and Taylor Kidd Blvd) on Thursday, October 11 from 6-9 p.m. and Friday, October 12 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in Our Chapel at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Terry Deline and the Venerable William Clarke officiating. Cremation will follow with an interment being held for the family at a later date.
Donations in memory of Joanne to the UHKF Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
The Beta Sigma Phi Memorial will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 7:00 p.m, all sisters are invited.

Former employee of Northern Telecom, Kingston
passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, on Saturday October 6, 2007 at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, with his family by his side. He is now healed and made whole in heaven with the Lord. Loving husband of Lorraine (nee Hope). Proud father and best friend to Curtis (Nicole), Chris (Julie), and Kyla of Kingston. Also father of Tinya Gray and grandfather of Travis, and Kaleb, of Barrie, Ontario. Beloved brother of Gregory (Cathy) Runions, and uncle of Lauren and Devon, of Kingston. Brother-in-law of Len (Lynda) Hope, Larry (Yvonne) Hope and uncle to their children. Son-in-law of Arthur and Betty Hope of Amherstview. Predeceased by his parents Phyllis and Norman Runions and mother-in-law Beulah Grace Hope.
Thanks to his many friends and family for their ongoing love and support. Special thanks to Dr. Stewart and the compassionate staff of 2 south palliative care at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital.

Di Giacinto, Vienna passed away peacefully on October 9, 2007 at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, Ontario, at the age of 76, Vienna passed away to be with her late husband Tomassino. Vienna, loving mother of Bruno and his wife Josie and Miranda and her husband Pat. Cherished Nonna of Matthew, Leanna, Nadia, Joanna and Thomas. Fondly remembered by her brother, sisters, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. John Alfred Creed, 82 years, passed away peacefully, on October 9, 2007. Beloved husband of the late Donna Creed (2001). Loving father of Fred and wife Joan; John and wife Ann Marie; Katharine and husband Paul Marcotte. Dear grandpa to Meaghan, Mallory, Lauren, John, and Shannon. Dear brother of the late Fred and Frank Creed and brother-in-law to Judith Creed-Salisbury and Beth Creed. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jack had enlisted in the Armed Forces in WWII, had returned to Windsor where he became the proprietor of Herald Press and was a 40 year member of the Kiwanis Club. Theodore 'Benjie' Augustine Theophilus Joseph made his peaceful transition at Bridgepoint Health Centre (formerly The Riverdale Hospital), in his 90th year, on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at 10 a.m. Theodore was born in Antigua, W.I. in 1917. In 1961, he started a health career at Sunnybrook Hospital as a Nursing Orderly until his retirement in December 1982. He leaves to cherish his memories, wife Hazel; daughter CJ M. Joseph-Liberman (Mark) of Thornhill; and three sons Theodel of Toronto, Fitzroy and Cornell of Antigua, W.I. and their families; four granddaughters and a grandson. Loving uncle to Elaine and Richard Matthews of Markham, Norma, Sheila, Claudine, Carlton, Wilfred, Sylvester, Hubert, Eustie, and Graveney. Missed by grandnieces, grandnephews and a host of relatives and friends. Theodore is predeceased by his mother Avis, father Richard and his sister Margaret Merchant. The family expresses their sincerest gratitude and appreciation to the 7th Floor nurses and staff of Bridgepoint Health Centre for the care that was given to Theodore during his lengthy stay. A special thank you to Dr. Ken Berger and Dr. Shein for their concern and care. Also, many thanks to Social Worker Ramona Bray (7 West) for her constant assistance, kindness and support.
