Crabb, Taylor James

It is with great sadness that the Crabb family announces the sudden passing of their son and brother, Taylor James on Sunday, April 22nd, 2007 in his 21st year. Loving son of Ralph and Liz Crabb. Much loved younger brother of Michelle. Predeceased by his sister, Claire. Taylor will be lovingly missed by his grandparents, Elizabeth Blair, and Ralph and Catherine Crabb. He will be fondly remembered by a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, both in Canada and Scotland. The family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village (Ajax) 905-428-8488 on Thursday, April 26th 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Pickering Village United Church (300 Church St., Pickering) on Friday, April 27th, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. MAHON, Grant Gerald

passed away suddenly at the Ajax Pickering Hospital on Saturday April 21, 2007 at the age of 36. Loving father of Danielle Mahon. Beloved son of Patrick and Dorothy Mahon. Dear brother of Stephen Mahon and sister Angelina Brandstetter. He will be deeply missed by nieces Melissa and Brittney Mahon and nephew Erich Brandstetter. Dr. Mary Jane McLaughlin, MD BSc FRCPC
Sunday, February 29, 1976 - Friday, September 15, 2006

Dr. Mary Jane McLaughlin MD BSc FRCPC, of Quispamsis, New Brunswick, died unexpectedly at her residence in Beachwood, Ohio on September 15, 2006. Born February 29, 1976 in Saint John, she was 30 years old. She was the loving daughter of Dr. Joseph McLaughlin and Jill (Stephenson) McLaughlin. She is also survived by sisters Margot and Lindsay; grandmother Elizabeth Stephenson; niece Lauren and many aunts, uncles, extended relatives and friends. She was predeceased by grandparents John Stephenson, Joe and Agnes McLaughlin.

An outstanding student, Mary Jane graduated from Kennebecasis Valley High in 1993. She received a Bachelor of Science from UNB in 1997, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from Dalhousie in 2001. While in medical school she was an active member of the Phi Chi medical fraternity, eventually serving as the Grand Presiding Senior overseeing chapters of the organization throughout North America.

Her medical training continued with an anaesthesiology residency program through Dalhousie University, dividing her time between Saint John Regional Hospital and various Halifax hospitals. In June of 2006 she passed the Royal College of Physicians exams and was doing a fellowship in cardiac anaesthesia at the Cleveland Clinic at the time of her death. She was ultimately planning to work at the IWK children's hospital in Halifax doing pediatric anaesthesia and ICU.

Mary Jane thoroughly loved her work, and was highly regarded by her patients, co-workers and fellow physicians for her knowledge and enthusiasm. She had cultivated a large network of friends over the years and will be truly missed by so many people in so many places.

In her limited leisure time she often returned home to spend time with her family, brightening many holidays and special occasions with her smiling presence. When opportunity presented itself she liked to escape to the Carribean for a respite from the winter.

Resting at Castle Funeral Home "Kings" Chapel, 154 Hampton Road, Rothesay, NB. (506-849-1702), with visitation Friday, September 22 from 7-9 pm and Saturday, September 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held in St. David's United Church, Rothesay, at 2 pm. Sunday, September 24. Memorial donations may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation, IWK Health Center Foundation and the Alzheimers Society of New Brunswick.

ZAICHKOWSKI, Valerie

Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday March 10, 2007 at the age of 65. Devoted wife to the late John Zaichkowski. Beloved mother to Bill (Joan), Cheryl (Larry Williamson), Donna (Jay Voscek), Terry (Mike Marcoux), John (Babette). Proud grandmother to Shane, Eli, Marissa, John, Ryan, Kyle, Eric, Danielle, Tyler and great grandmother to Alexander and Nathan.
