Malczyk, Joyce (nee Somers) passed away after a brief illness due to complications from pneumonia on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at the Peel Memorial Hospital, Brampton in her 75th year. Beloved wife of Max Malczyk for 52 years. Lovingly remembered by her children Alison Gleeson, Alex Malczyk and his spouse Dennis DuQuette, and Ruth Malczyk. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Teresa Forbes and her husband Dennis, Michelle Gleeson and her partner Bill Robertson. Also fondly remembered by her great grandchildren Elizabeth Forbes, Weston Forbes, and William Forbes. Predeceased by her father and mother and her siblings. Family and friends will be received at the Scott Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel", 289 Main St. N. on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral prayers will be on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.

DWYER-MASSE, Rita M. passed away peacefully on October 28, 2007 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband Louis R. Masse. Loving mother of Paul Masse and his wife Danna of Michigan. Dear grandmother of Shann Rodriquez and Derek Masse. Great Grandmother to Ronnie and Simone Rodriquez and Kyle, Colton and Carsyn Masse. Predeceased by her brothers Ernie and Morris Dwyer and Ted and Fred Dubois and her sister Evelyn Samana. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home 1139 Ouellette Ave. from 2-5 and 7-9 pm on Wednesday, October 31, 2007. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery, A tree will be planted in memory of Rita in the Janisse Marcotte Heritage Forest.

JOHNSTON, Gordon Rae – It is with great sadness that the family of Gordon announce his passing on Friday, October 26, 2007 in his 81st year at the Welland General Hospital after a brief illness. Gord was the loving husband of the late Marion Johnston (Morden), 2005. Always remembered and forever in the hearts of his daughters Doreen Murdock (Philip), Ann Johnston and son Gordie Johnston. Remembered always by his grandchildren Paula (Rob), Carol, Brenda (Carlos), Stephanie (Jim) and Sean (Jodi) and great-grandchildren Jaymz, Randi-Leigh, Jordan, Alexius, Kyla, Madison, Shane, Marques, Olivia and Sabrina. He will be sadly missed by his sister Etta Farr and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Dora and William Johnston, his brothers Walter and Bill and sisters Annie and Eileen. Gord spent many years working until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman he loved to fish and hunt. He took his last big hunting trip with his grandson Sean just two weeks ago. Respecting Gordon’s wishes there will be no visitation, a memorial service will be held at Lady of Fatima Chapel at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 9 a.m. Donations to the Welland Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
