Mr. William Joseph "Bill" Kirkey
November 3, 1935 - November 1, 2007

At L.H.S.C University Campus on Thursday, November 1, 2007. William Joseph "Bill" Kirkey of Goderich in his 72nd year. Survived by his sister Theresa Ann Kirkey of Goderich. Also survived by niece Sharon Kirkey of Goderich and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Mary Williams, Margaret Jordan, Etta Chapman and brother Arthur Kirkey. Bill was an active volunteer with the Labour Day Fastball Tournament, Young Canada Week and a Life Member of the Goderich Kinsmen Club.
Friends will be received at McCallum & Palla Funeral Home, Cambria Rd. at East St. Goderich on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 11 AM. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Kinsmen Club of Goderich or A. M. & G. H. Foundation CT Scanner gratefully acknowledged.

Mr. Ernest Charles Fitzgerald
May 29, 1927 - November 5, 2007

Fitzgerald, Ernie - On Monday, November 5, 2007 at his residence. Beloved husband of Joan. Dear father of Margo Pinder and her husband James, Gerri and her husband Rick, Carol Cervone, Kevin and Paul. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, his sisters Marie and Georgetta. He is predeceased by his brother John. Ernie was a member of the Merritton Lions Club and longtime employee of Hayes Dana. Mr. Fitzgerald is at the Niagara St. Chapel of Butler Funeral Home, 424 Niagara St. (south of Scott) where the family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 11a.m. followed by cremation. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Lions Eye Care Niagara Inc. would be appreciated by the family. The Merritton Lions Club will hold a Memorial Service at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.

Black, Barbara A. (Touched the lives of many patients by providing over 20 years of volunteer service at both Huronia Hospitals -- training volunteers, creating three newspapers each year and helping establish the Palliative Care Unit. Recipient of the Senior Volunteer of the Year Award -Town of Midland). passed away at the Penetanguishene Hospital on Friday, November 2, 2007. Barb Black of Midland, beloved wife of Sydney J. Black, dear mother of Susan Black, Ken Black and Lynda and her husband Bob Blaska. Loving grandmother of Cory Gray and his partner Keri Beevor and Chris Gray; step grandmother of Haley Blaska. Sister of the late Iona Morton. Friends may call at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave., Midland on Thursday, November 8th from 12 :30 p.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 2:30 p.m. Interment later at Lakeview Cemetery, Midland. Memorial donations to the Huronia Hospitals Foundation would be appreciated.

It is with great sadness that the family of Muriel Frances Thomas announce her passing, while surrounded by her loving family at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital, Goderich, on November 3, 2007 in her 75th year. The former Muriel Cole, beloved wife of Gordon Thomas. Loving mother of Sandra & John Strawbridge, Gayle & Barron Purser, Terry & Terry Pautler, Christine & Bill Yurchuck. Predeceased by her parents Verda & Frederick Cole. Survived by her only sister Lois and her husband Don Elliott and special "little sister" Carol Sippel. She will be sadly missed.....our "Angel Grandma" by grandchildren Scott & Lara, Melissa & Jim, Matthew & Marg, Erin & Gentry, Arley, Lauren, Brenden, Ryan & Jen, Corey & Katie, Emily, Kaitlyn, Joshua and Nick and great grandchildren Courtney, Cole, Caden, Faith, Maeve, Nolan and her many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and their families. A "Service of Remembrance" and a "Celebration of her Life" will be held at Meneset Park recreation hall, R.R. #5 Goderich on November 18, 2007 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Muliple Sclerosis Society.

March 6, 1921 - September 6, 2007

Moreau, Evelyn (nee Lortie) - Past Georgian Manor nursing employee for 25 years passed away peacefully at the Georgian Manor, Penetanguishene with her family by her side, on Thursday, September 6th, 2007 in her 87th year. Evelyn Lortie beloved wife of the late Lionel Moreau.
Loving mother of Marlene (Garry Bryant) Charlebois, Raymond (Linda) Moreau, Kevin (Jane) Moreau, Gary (Debra) Moreau and Karen (Ken) Spence. Predeceased by her son-in-law Jules Charlebois. Cherished grandmother of Rachelle, Denis, Andre, Shane, Carrie-Lynn, Andrea, Katherine, Lee, Scott, Erin, Tyler and Christopher and one great grandson Nicolas. Dear sister of Roch Lortie and predeceased by Bertha Thompson, Lionel Lortie, Stella Elrick and Loretta Lortie. Friends will be received at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home, 155 Main Street, Penetanguishene on Sunday, September 9th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church, Penetanguishene on Monday, September 10th at 11 a.m. Interment St. Ann's Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Georgian Manor Furnishing Fund or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
