McCune, Brenda Joyce RN (nee Miller) - Brenda passed away peacefully on November 6, 2007 at St. Mary's of the Lake in her 80th year. She is lovingly missed by her husband Gordon of 57 years. Beloved mother to Jane Vanhooser, Catherine (Walter) Klein and Colleen (Jack) Hunt. Predeceased by her son-in law Emery Vanhooser. Cherished Nana to Lori (Dan) DaCosta, Gregory, Jenny, Sarah and Melanie. She is survived by her sister Barbara (Allistar) Cummings and predeceased by her sister Gwen and brother-in-law Allison. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at St. Peter's Anglican Church, 4333 Bath Rd., Kingston. Dorothy passed away peacefully on November 8, 2007 at Providence Care in her 87th year. She is survived by her children Judith Denstedt, Garry (Judi) Flowers, Cynthia (Manuel) Melo, David (Peggy) Flowers and Dan (Diane) Flowers. Cherished Nanny to 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers Art (Essie) Blimkie, Harvey (Jean) Blimkie and her sister Ann Corrigan. Predeceased by her husband James Denstedt (1943) and Donald Flowers (1988). She is also predeceased by her son Glen Martin (1954) and 5 grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received at St. Paul the Apostle Church 1111 Taylor Kidd Blvd. from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2007. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the church. Dorothy's remains will be buried at St. Columbus Cemetery, Pembroke on November 13, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. For those wishing, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

HAMEL, Christian Paul (Chris) - passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, while surrounded by his family and friends, at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his private battle with liver disease. Loving father of Andre a (Kevin) Rieth, Mark (Laura) Hamel, and Lindsey Hamel. Papa Chris will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Shelby, Kyle and Julie. Fondly remembered by Susan Hamel and family. In keeping with Chris' wishes, a cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, November 10th at 4 p.m. at DODSWORTH and BROWN Funeral Home, BURLINGTON CHAPEL, 2241 New Street (at Drury Lane), Burlington.
