Joey Wallace Millar-Godfrey

MILLAR-GODFREY, Joey Wallace, Born in Belleville on December 9, 2008 and passed away at Kingston on December 10, 2008. He will be sadly missed and forever loved by his parents Nikki Millar and Terry Godfrey. Loving remembered by his brothers and sisters: Trinity, Destiny, Bryson and Nathyn. Dear grandson of Terry and Kim Godfrey, and Darren & Betty Millar. Always loved by his uncles Adam, Shawn and his aunt Kelly. A private family funeral will take place with cremation to follow.

Charles "Ray" Steward

STEWARD, Charles "Ray", passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital surrounded by family on Monday, December 8, 2008, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Betty Steward for 64 years and doting father of Maureen Causton (Raymond), Michael (Sharon) and Shirley Steward (Robert Park). Dearest grandfather of Diane Cangiano (Rob), Paul Causton (Rhonda) and Phillip Steward (Sarina). The greatest of great grandfathers to Tyler, Mitchell, Brent, Naomi and Paige. Ray is predeceased by all his siblings. Born in Belleville in 1924, Ray lived and worked in various locations across the Country including serving our Country in the Second World War. He returned near his roots, crossing the finish line of life in Napanee. "Everyone loved Ray", from his friends at the Baptist Church to the people he would meet and befriend on his many long walks. Many thanks to Dr. Hayland and the wonderful ICU staff at KGH for your compassionate care you gave to Ray and the family. A Memorial Service will be held at the Napanee Baptist Church, 291 Dundas St. W., on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke foundation or the Napanee Humane Society will be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the WARTMAN FUNERAL HOME IN NAPANEE.

Lenna J. Larose

LAROSE, Lenna J., Peacefully at the Belleville General Hospital on Tuesday, December 9th, 2008. Lenna LaRose (Couture) of Trenton in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Jules LaRose. Loved sister of Bernadine Roberts and the late Margaret Halliday, Robert, Donald and Jack Couture. Ever remembered by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. The family will receive friends at the RUSHNELL FUNERAL CENTRE, 60 Division Street, Trenton on Thursday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Peter's Church on Friday, December 12th, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Father Brian McNally officiating. Interment Mount Calvary Cemetery. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Donna Van Vliet

VAN VLIET, Donna Margaret Logan, born May 10, 1937, in St. Catharines, Ont., transitioned unexpectedly, but with peace, on May 23, 2016, Belleville, Ont. Donna will be greatly missed by her loving and wondrously devoted husband of 35 years, Lachlan (Rocky) Van Vliet, Carrying Place, former RCAF. The beloved daughter of Linda Hookey Logan (Gramma Pluta, d.1998) and predeceased by brother Alan Logan, Donna was blessed by being the mother of Mandy Bonisteel, Toronto; Steven Bonisteel (Therese Greenwood), Fort McMurray, and Lesley Bonisteel (Brian Weston), Trenton. The much-loved grandchildren followed: Jessie Bonisteel (Jay Primeau) and Drew Bonisteel, Toronto; Emily Grant, Vancouver; Lauren Bonisteel, Tweed; Marley Grant (Michelle Bouchard), Kitchener; Siobhan Bonisteel Topping (Charles Topping), Cambridge; Kassia Bonisteel (Cory Singh), Toronto; Kurt and Hannah Bonisteel, Trenton. Great-grandchildren Melody and Abby Lajoie of Tweed and Liam Topping of Cambridge completed her family, who were the "winds beneath her sails." Donna was also uplifted by her dearest friend, Martina McKinnon. Donna will be lovingly remembered by Rocky's son David Van Vliet (Sheila McGuire) and granddaughters Jenna and Devan of Calgary. She was also always supported and loved by Rocky’s daughter, Ainslie Van Vliet Thomson (Bill Thomson), of Nassau. A lifelong learner, Donna graduated from the first class of RNs at Loyalist College in 1978 and worked at Belleville General Hospital for 10 years before striking out as a pioneer in holistic health. She studied and taught many modalities, including The Therapeutic Touch, for the Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario, for more than 30 years, and will be remembered by many colleagues, students and friends. Diagnosed with an inoperable aneurysm in 2013, she continued teaching and mentoring others, living with gratitude. Donna strove to live the words of Paul Brenner, MD., Ph.D. in Shifting from the Quantity of Life to the Quantum of Life: "Health is the acceptance and appreciation of life. Health is not related to the relative state of one’s liver, kidney, or spleen." Cremation has taken place, with several private services being planned for the future, with ashes to be spread under a beautiful grove of pines at home. Donna has a memorial stone on the walkway at the National Air Force Museum in Trenton, along with her husband. An informal celebration of Donna's life will be held Saturday, May 28, beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the Greek Banquet Hall, 70 Harder Drive, Belleville. A light lunch will be served at 3 p.m.
Donations in Donna’s memory can be made to the Tri-County Gleaners Food Bank in Belleville, or any food bank in your area.

Wayne Williams

WILLIAMS, Wayne Leland – passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Trenton Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 27th, 2016. Wayne Williams of Trenton in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Sandra Darlene Williams. Loved father of Kevin Williams and Mark (Kim) Williams, all of Trenton. Ever remembered grandfather of Kasaundra and Erika of Toronto, and Tenecia of Trenton. Predeceased by his parents Victor and Velma (Howie) Williams and his brother Glen Williams. Arrangements in the care of Rushnell Funeral Centre, 60 Division St., Trenton (613-392-2111) In keeping with Wayne's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Wayne's life will be held at a later date. Wayne retired from Proctor and Gamble, was an Associate Member of Trenton Legion Branch 110, and 413 Wing in Trenton. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Austin "Joe" Bunn
BUNN, Austin Ralph "Joe" passed away at the Trenton Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 27, 2016, age 87 years. Joe Bunn of Brighton, son of the late Herbert Bunn and the late Daisy (Austin). Loving husband of Joyce (Taylor). Dear father of Lyle Bunn and his wife Darlene of Brighton, Michael Bunn and his wife Darlene (Davis) of Cobourg, Ray Bunn and his wife Caryne of Vernon, British Columbia, and Barb Goodwin and her husband Dale of Port Hope. Brother of Ivy Worthing of Trenton, Willard Bunn (Audrey) of Bayfield, Lal Bunn (Elsie) of Novar, Clare Bunn (Sandy) of Haliburton, Marilyn Wilcox of Burlington, and Marian Wilson (Doug) of Huntsville. Predeceased by his brother Herbert Bunn. Sadly missed by his eight grandchildren, three great grandsons, and his many nieces and nephews. Cremation with a Graveside Service at Mount Hope Cemetery, Brighton on Saturday, June 11th, 2016 at 10 o’clock. A reception to meet the family will be held at the Brighton Funeral Home, 130 Main Street, Brighton on Tuesday, June 14th, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Community Care Brighton, would be appreciated by the family.

Ralph Reid

REID, Ralph Carman Suddenly passed away at his home on Sunday, May 29th, 2016, at the age of 71. Beloved son of the late Allen and Laura Reid. Forever loved by his children Mike and his partner Darlene Gibson, Kim Whaley and her husband Shannon, and Brittany Reid. Proud grandfather of Shauna, Cassie, Mike, Kevin, and Cayden. Survived by his brother Malcolm and his wife Rose. Also remembered by niece Jennifer McElroy (Keith), and nephew Kevin Reid. Predeceased by his brother Edwin. The family will receive friends at the STIRLING FUNERAL CHAPEL 87 James St., Stirling on Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow in the chapel at 1 p.m. Inurnment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Liver Foundation would be appreciated.

Loving companion to George Bradshaw. Dear mother of Nicole MacIuba (Adam) and Michael Morden (Lori) all of Mississauga.Sister of MaryLou Cochrane (Bill) of London and William Nelson (Lesley) of Vittoria, Ontario. Loving grandmother of Jacob, Natalie, and Alexander. Ever remembered by dear friends Barb and Rob Dutrisac, Pat and Keith Reid.Friends may call at the John R. Beloved wife of the late Percy Stringer and loved mother of Bert of B.C., Joanne (Harold McGrayne) of Picton, Colleen (Larry 'Tiny' Collins) of Kingston, Bruce 'Butch' (Violet) of Picton, Diana and Gail, both of London, Jane (Don Markland) of Picton, Dina of Belleville and the late Ken and Ivan. Dear grandmother of 31 and great grandmother of 28 and sister of Doreen of Windsor. Mrs. Stringer is resting at the HICKS FUNERAL HOME, Picton. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, January 19 at 11 am. The Reverend Robert Jones officiating. Interment Cherry Valley Cemetery.
