MORRISON, John J.

March 7th, 1961 - June 27th 2010

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday, June 27th, 2010.

Beloved husband of Laura Morrison for 32 years. Loving father of Kirk and Scott. Survived by his parents John and Kathleen Morrison. Dear brother of Brenda, Christine, Debbie and David.

At Johns request no formal funeral service will be held. Cremation.

Memorial donations to Lakeridge Health Oshawa would be appreciated.

An unfortunate accident the evening of Saturday, June the 19th, led to his passing at St. Michael's Hospital on Saturday, June 26th, at the age of 21 years.

Cameron, loving son of Jan and Scott. Cherished brother of Katy and Cody (Marisa). Dear Uncle of Riley and Baby on the way. Loving boyfriend to Renee. Adored grandson of Vic and Millie. Beloved nephew of Callum (Christine), Margaret, Cheryl (Michael), Vicki, Michele (Paul) and Jami (Jennifer). Will be missed by many cousins, his dogs Willy and Lexica and ALL HIS BOYS!!!

Friends may call at MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby (N of Hwy #2) 905 443-3376 on Thursday, July 1st from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral Service in our Chapel on Friday, July 2nd at 11:00 a.m.

Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens.

CAMPBELL, Oliver J. -

After a lengthy illness, Oliver passed away on Saturday June 26, 2010 at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa.

Oliver was a dearly loved son of Audrey and the late Charles Campbell of Toronto. Loving father of Emery of Toronto, Garrett and his wife Diane of Oshawa. Beloved grandfather of Shanice, Quintin, and Sasha. Dearly loved brother of Willamae and her husband Paul Layne of Peterborough. He will be lovingly missed by his niece Tina, nephew Paul Jr., great nephews Ethan and Carter, and by his many cousins.

Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Friday July 2nd from 6-9pm.

Funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday July 3rd at 11am. Interment at Oshawa Union Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association would be greatly appreciated.

HARRAN, Anne Christabell -

Suddenly, on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, at age 82.

Anne (nee Saville), beloved wife of the late Harry Lewis Harran of Caesarea. Loving mother of William George Harran and his wife Brenda of Caesarea. Loved grandmother of Dawn Elizabeth Keeler. She will also be missed by her many friends in Caesarea.

A special thank you to Dr. John Stewart and the staff of Reach View Village, Uxbridge, for the care they gave.

The family of Anne Harran will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Monday, June 28th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, June 29th at 11 a.m. Interment Nestleton United Church Cemetery.

LAMBERT, Edward George "Ted" -

(April 10, 1932 - June 26, 2010) - Peacefully at home on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the age of 78.

Former member of the Royal Air Force, England.

Loved husband of Jean for 58 years. Loving father of Susan, David (Sari), Brian (Deanna), Beverly (Tom) and Tony (predeceased). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Scott, Tarrynn, Janna, Amanda, Lauren, Carli, Lena, Brianna, Colin, Emily and Grace, and his great-grandchild, Jordyn. Dear brother of Albert Lambert (Audrey).

Special thanks to the staff at Centenary Hospital, Lakeridge Health Oshawa, the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre, and special thanks to Sue Dalton at PARAMED.

As per Ted’s wishes, a private family gathering in honour of his life will be held at his favourite place.

WOOD, Eunice V. (nee Hawley) –

Suddenly at home on Saturday, June 26, 2010, in her 80th year, she went home to be with the Lord.

Eunice, loving wife for 62 years of Gerald of Orono. Cherished mother of Bill and his wife Doris of Napanee, Connie and her husband Paul Andrews of Kingsville, Gwen and her husband Lawrence Comber of Oshawa, and Lynn and his wife Christine of Bowmanville. Grandma to Scott, Nicole, Kevin, Karen, Michelle, Glenn, Lance, Tyler, and eight great-grandchildren. Survived by six brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Heartfelt thanks to Linda of the Whitby Dialysis Unit for her special care.

Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S., Newcastle (just north of 401 at the lights) on Thursday, July 1st, from 7-9 p.m.

A memorial service will take place at NEWCASTLE FELLOWSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH, 200 King Ave. E., Newcastle, on Friday, July 2, at 1:00 p.m.

Dear brother of Geneva Just (David), Louverne (Edna), and predeceased by sister Edna Stamatellos. Son of the late John and Eileen Alexander. Les will be remembered as a great father and friend to many; also remembered for his love for his music.

Friends will be received for a Memorial Service at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH (903 Gifford Street, Whitby), on Monday, July 5th, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Harold, beloved husband of Betty for 37 years. Loving father of Danny (Kerri) of Ottawa and Robert of Oshawa. Dear brother of Ora MacDonald (Ralph), Margaret Affleck (the late Ross). Predeceased by his brothers Cedric, Charlie and Arthur. Brother in law of Myrtle and Joyce.

A funeral service will held for Harold at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby, on Tuesday, June 29th 2010 at 12:00pm with visitation one hour prior in the chapel. Burial at Thornton Cemetery to follow.

CROME, Frederick Edward John -

(Former City Engineer and Commissioner of Public Works)

Peacefully, at Lakeridge Health Hospital in Bowmanville on Friday June 25, 2010, in his 85th year.

Beloved husband of the late Elva (nee Crown). Loving father of David and his wife Marian (nee Quapp) of Oshawa and daughter Donna and her husband Doug Lucyk of Oshawa. Fondly remembered by his cherished grandchildren Sarah Crome (Ivan Waissbluth), Rebecca Crome (fiancé Omar Salim), Maria Crome (friend Gary Campbell), Deanna Waltenberry (Lenny), Bart Lucyk (Julia) and Vaughn Lucyk and by great-granddaughter Ainsley. Dearly missed by his sister Phyllys Webster Bell of Peterborough and his nieces and nephews.

Fred was the City Engineer and Commissioner of Public Works for the City of Oshawa for 43 years. He was an active participant in his professional organizations, serving on their executives and receiving a number of awards.

He was a long-standing and active member of First Baptist Church Oshawa, involved in his denomination’s work, and a member of the Board of Trustees of McMaster Divinity College for over a decade.

A lover of opera, classical music, the theatre and travel, Fred passionately explored the world and the arts with family and friends.

Relatives and friends may call at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Tuesday from 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 pm.

A service to celebrate Fred’s life will be held at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH (812 Hortop Street Oshawa) on Wednesday June 30, 2010 at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the First Baptist Church, McMaster Divinity College or the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by his family.
