DE MELLO, Zoila
Passed away peacefully on August 21, 2005 at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa. Beloved wife of the late Carlos. Loving mother of Jose (Rosa Maria) and Helena (Jorge). Cherished grandma of Peter, Paul (Samantha), John (Nicole) and Isabel and great-grandma of Frankie and Luke. Zoila grew up in Macau where she was a school and music teacher, choir director and organist. At the age of 67 she became an oil painter and produced beautiful art. Friends may visit at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel", 847 King St. W., Oshawa (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, August 23 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held. For information, please contact funeral home. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Emergency or Cardiac Unit at Lakeridge Health

FREEBORN, William Albert Lavern, CMA, CIM, PMGR
Passed away peacefully, at Lakeridge Health Corporation, Oshawa, on Sunday, August 21, 2005, Vern, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Mary Freeborn and the late Marion Freeborn. Dear father of Carol and her husband Paul Secord, Gail and her husband Tom Caswell, Chris Hobin, Michael Hobin, Dan and his wife Jasmine Hobin. He will be truly missed by his grandchildren Colin and Erin Reed, Kaitlin and Ryan White, Joshua and Jacob Caswell, Eric and Justin Hobin. Survived by his sisters Loretta Harper and June and her husband Mel Norman. Vern was a life member and Past President of the Durham Chapter Society of Management Accountants of Ontario. At the time of Vern's passing he was the Treasurer of the Volunteer Association of the Whitby Mental Health Association and the former Financial Officer of the WMHA. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King St. East, Oshawa, with Funeral Service in the Chapel Wednesday, August 24th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation Thornton Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Whitby Mental Health Centre or Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Age 92 years. Went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville. Beloved husband of the late Rena Malda (died 1972) and the late Clara DeVries (died 2004). Dear father of Ben Malda; Lucy & Richard Rekker; Helen & George Kloos; Oege Devries; Ann & Bob Pond and the late Hans DeVries. Cherished grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 19. Survived by brothers Gerben Malda and Earl Malda. Visitation will take place at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Tuesday August 23rd, 2005 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, Bowmanville on Wednesday August 24th, 2005 at 1 pm. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to Knox School Building Fund.

SINCLAIR, Echo Lucille (nee Rogers)
At the Lakeridge Health Centre, Oshawa after a brief illness on Sunday, August 21, 2005. Predeceased by her beloved husband Sandford, brothers Lyle, Neil, Ashley, and sisters Lois, and Lottie. She will be sadly missed by her sister Jackie and her husband Bert Kelly of Norwood. Special aunt to Christine, Simon, and Rachel Yeung of Whitby. Fondly remembered by many nieces, and nephews and friends. There will be a visitation at 12 p.m. on Wednesday August 24th followed by the funeral at 1 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa 905-433-4711. If desired donations may be made to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation.

VAN DE BUNTE, Jerry
Peacefully after a hard fought battle with cancer on Sunday, August 21st, 2005. Jerry in his 56th year. Survived by his wife of 36 years Janet Van De Bunte. Loving father to Tammy Stewart and her husband Michael, and Amanda Van De Bunte and Brian Harper. Dear grandfather of Katelynde, Brandy-Leigh and MacKenna. Brother of John and his wife Shirley, Corrie and her husband Hugh, Betty and her husband John. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and family in the Netherlands. Jerry is fondly remembered by many friends. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Leukemia Society of Canada or Alcoholics Anonymous would be appreciated by the family.

KEHOE, John G. (Jack)
(Husband, father, grandfather, brother and kindest of all kind things.)
Peacefully passed away, following a short illness and a wonderful 85 years of life. Jack is survived by his loving wife Ruth (nee Morehouse), his sons John, Mike, Tom, his daughter Maureen, his much loved grandson Ben Daniels and his brothers Paul and Frank. Jack's memory will be fondly cherished by all those who knew him. The family would be pleased to welcome relatives and friends at a celebration of Jack's life on Saturday August 20th, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the lounge at 360 Watson St. Whitby. Peacefully on Friday, August 19th, 2005 in her 88th year. Loved wife of the late Angelo Donofrio. Loving mother of John (Karen) Donofrio and Anne Marie (Stu) Hatten. Devoted grandma of Jennifer (Gerry), Gina, Trish, Danny, Lisa, Jaime and great nana of Victoria and Alexandra. Mary will be fondly remembered by all her family and friends. OLIVEIRA, Joaquim (Jack)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jack Oliveira after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. Jack passed away peacefully with his family by his side in the Palliative Care Unit, Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on August 19th, 2005 at the age of 63. He leaves behind his devoted wife Natalia, his daughters Susana Pereira (Joe), Ana Mafalda Galea (Mario) and his son Alex Oliveira. He will be deeply missed by his cherished granddaughters Amanda, Megen and Olivia. Predeceased by his parents Francisco and Leonor Oliveira of Coruche, Portugal and Chico Oliveira of Brazil. He is survived by his brother Antonio Oliveira (Gracinda). He will be sadly missed by many family, friends and business associates. The family would like to thank all of those who have provided support and prayers over the last few months. We would especially like to express our thanks to the dedicated doctors and nurses at the Toronto Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre and the Palliative Care Teams at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa. After a short illness she passed away surrounded by family, at the Wynfield, on August 19th, 2005, at the age of 85. Jean, predeceased by her loving husband Howard Taylor. Beloved mother of Bonnie and Ross Cairns, Jill and Chris Roberts, Joan and Brian Welch, and Mark Saywell. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Grant (Dawn) Roberts, Wendy (Kevin) Hargreaves, Erin Welch (Naythan Nunes), Janice Saywell (Eric Martin), Katherine Cairns (Aaron Iscoe), Daniel Saywell, Thomas Cairns and Brianne Welch. "Great-grandma" to Christian and Andrew Roberts. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Eiliene Henry of Buffalo and Joyce Barton of Rockport, Massachusetts. TOMLINSON, Eleonore
Peacefully, on August 19, 2005, at the Rouge Valley Health System, Centenary Site, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late John Tomlinson. Survived by daughter Brigitte (Bill). Treasured Omi of Monica and her husband Frank, their children Jade and Jakob; and Lisa-Rae and her son Carson. Eleonore is a very special lady who will be dearly missed by her many close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

Dear grandpa of Richard (Mary-Lynn), Lisa (Dave), Amy (Wayne), Jennifer (Sam), Andrea (Matt), Daniel (Leanne), Joe, Ben (Marilyn), Julie (Glenn), Jeff (Tanya) and great- grandpa of Liam, Declan, Raygan, Jessie, Teghan, Hamish, Shae-Lynn, Shelby, William, Robert, Andrew, Brooklin, Corey and MacKenzie. Father-in-law of Dave Hathaway and Joan Warr. Funeral service was held at the Beaverton Presbyterian Church on Monday at 1:30 P.M.
