Loving mother of Michael & his wife Deborah, and Mark. Extra special Grandma and Nana to Meghan, Caitlin and Jennifer. Dear sister of Ann Allen & her husband Robert, and Pauline Watkins & her husband Jesse. Shelagh will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and her many friends. She was an active member with the Oshawa Seniors Centre where she taught dance and dancercise for many years. After a long full life, Lilian passed away peacefully at Extendicare Nursing Home on Friday evening, June 17th, 2005 at the age of 83. Grandmother of Kerry and Thomas; great-grandmother of Adam and Nathan. Predeceased by 7 sisters and brothers in Germany and her husband, Wilhelm. Tillie was a resident of Oshawa for 51 years and of the Black Forest in her earlier years. She resided at Hillsdale Manor for her last 5 years, where she had previously volunteered for many years. She was a longtime member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oshawa. Alex was the past President of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #43 for 51/2 years and was awarded the Legion Meritorius Service Medal and Palm Leaf. He was a Life Member of Branch #43, Royal Canadian Legion of Oshawa and was a 50 year Legion Member. Alex served with the Royal Canadian Air Force in W.W. II. He was retired from General Motors, Canada as a senior engineer-tooling with over 40 years of service. Surrounded and supported by his family, peacefully went to be with the Lord whom he served for over 55 years, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, June 14, 2005, in his 78th year. Loving and devoted husband for 53 years of Norma of Wilmot Creek. Dear father of Rev. Terry Dorey and his wife Karen of Belleville and Linda and her husband Robert Tanfield of Pickering. Grampa to Karissa, Rachel, Tara, and Nathan Dorey, and Carley and Luke Tanfield. Brother to Stan and his wife Bev Dorey, and Merle and her husband Harry Linden.
