LOUNDS, Bernard (Bern)
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Thursday, June 2nd, 2005. Bern Lounds, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Beatrice (Queen) for over 64 years. Dear father of Don of Florida/Haliburton and Sue and her husband Ted Varga of Oshawa. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Dave Varga (Dianne), Krista Davis (Walter), Jon Lounds (Melanie), Sarah Lounds, and Robert (Bert) Lounds (Melanie). Fondly remembered by his 7 great grandchildren Tyler, Maddie, Nolan, Sophie, Rebecca, Alyssa, and Grace. Predeceased by his sister Helen Hobbs. Bern was a stationary Engineer at General Motors, retiring with over 45 years service. He was a member of the Operating Engineers. He served in the Canadian Army in W.W.II. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel" 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Sunday, June 5th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. Complete Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, June 6th at 11:00 A.M. Followed by cremation.

SAVILLE, Brandon Ernest Gabriel
On Thursday, June 2, 2005, Brandon was brutally and senselessly murdered. At a young age, and as he was starting a family, he was tragically taken from us. The grieving hearts left behind belong to his son Baby Jordan, and Baby Mama Danielle; his loving mother Joy, stepdad Francois; stepmother Cathy; devoted sister Naomii, brother Chris and their spouses, Chris and Michelle; his cherished nephew and nieces Ethan, Bailey and Sarah; his aunts and uncles, Jan and Arnie, David and Carol, Joy, Ernie, Headley, Norma, Jean, and Peggy; cousins Kathryn, Lindsay and Hailey; great-aunt and great -uncle Moedjie and Ernie; his father Roger and Anna; his grandmother Kay; and great-grandmother Doris. Brandon was predeceased by his Grandpa Wib and Pa. Brandon will be fondly remembered by Danielle's family, her mother Lana, her brothers Ishacc, Ishmael, her sister Crystal and her nephew Joseph. Brandon will also be dearly missed by his godfather Kevin, his guardian angel Jolanta and devoted friend Evelyn. A heartfelt thank you to Dirk Derstine and Jennifer Penman and all of the staff at Derstine and Penman Law Firm (Scott Cowan, Scott Reid, Robert Tomoski, Lauri Duban, Melody and Heather) of Toronto, for their unwavering friendship and for completely believing in Brandon and proving his innocence and clearing his name. A Celebration for Brandon will be held at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E. Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. Donations made in memory of Brandon to a Trust Fund for Baby Jordan Saville would be appreciated.

SEVERS, Benjamin John
August 25, 1922 - June 2, 2005
Peacefully at home in Ajax with his family gathered around him. Loving husband and companion to his wife Jean for 62 years. Forever supportive father to Ken and his wife Shirley of Calgary, Bob and his wife Barb of Owen Sound, and Marnie Pelky and her husband Bill of Ajax. Devoted grandfather to Chad (Stacey) of Fort McMurray, Meaghan and Andrew of Owen Sound, and Kate Swenson (Justin Turner) of Ajax. Predeceased by his siblings Bill Jr., Charlie, Mary Hayes and Edith Cole. Ben has been a member of the R.C. Legion Branch 322, Ajax for 60 years after serving in the Army during W.W.II. He served as an Ajax Firefighter for many years until his retirement in 1982. A celebration of Ben's Life to take place at St. Paul's United Church, 65 Kings Crescent, Ajax on Monday, June 6, 2005 at 1:30 pm. A reception to be held at the R.C.Legion Branch 322, Ajax, after the service. By family request, no flowers please.

KEEFE, James Ralph
Suddenly at his home in Ajax on Wednesday, June 1, 2005, in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Barb (nee Graves). Ralph is the son of the late Bernard and Viola (O'Meara) Keefe of Skinners Pond, PEI. Ralph is the cherished father of Janice (Jerry) Catalfo, Deanna (David) Duthie, Sean (Christine) Keefe, and their mother Kay Keefe (nee MacDonald). Loving grandfather of Michael and Julia Catalfo; Sarah Duthie; Jason and Matthew Keefe. Dear brother of Bernadine (Gerald) Taylor, Ann Marie (Jerry) DesRoches, Frankie (Dorothy) Keefe, Joanne Keefe, Leo (Marlene) Keefe, Bernard (Leona) Keefe, Floyd (Karen) Keefe. He will also be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church (S.E. corner of Harwood and Bayly, Ajax) at 11a.m. Further services and interment to take place in St. Louis, Prince Edward Island. Donations may be made to the Ajax-Pickering Hospital or the Lung Association.

BURN, Joan Elaine
(Retired Teacher Henry Street High School; Member Whitby Curling Club)
Passed way suddenly at her home on Tuesday May 31st, 2005 in her 76th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Burn. Daughter of the late George and Olla Somerville. Survived by her brother Bill and his wife Shirley of Georgetown. Predeceased by brothers Fyfe, and Ross and sisters Margaret and Helen. Sister-in-law of Jean, Harry and Ron. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families. Jean will be missed and fondly remembered by her many close friends. A celebration of Joan's life will be held at the Whitby Curling Club, (Brock St. Whitby) on Tuesday June 7th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. In loving memory of Joan, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Passed away at Orchard Villa Nursing Home, Pickering Ontario on May 31, 2005 in her 103rd year. Loving wife of the late John Wilfred Coleman (1991). Beloved daughter of the late George and Lillian Diemel. Predeceased by daughter Viola Spence and sister Ilein Taylor. Loving mother of Velma Bell and her husband Wayne of Windsor Locks, Connecticut, Cassie Stafford of St. Thomas, Orville Coleman of Oshawa, Lloyd Coleman and his wife Maureen of Pickering, and Marie Edison of Keswick, Ont. Dear grandmother of Gwenneth Spence and her husband Dennis of Barrie, Linda Peacock and her husband Steve of New Lowel, Carol Spencer and partner Terry Stewart of Barrie, Michael Edison and his wife Johanne of Keswick, Louise Stafford of Toronto, Catherine Stafford of Vancouver, Lyal Stafford and his wife Jeannette of Kitchener, Terrance Coleman of Mississauga and Todd Coleman of Whitby. Dear great-grandmother of Rachel and Justine Edison, Alana and Jennifer Gennings, Stephanie and John Peacock.

GOULDBURN, Allan Martin
Loving son of Martin and Ellen A. (Brown) Gouldburn. Born May 21st, 1934 in Whitby. Passed away on Tuesday, May 31st, 2005 at Lakeridge Health- Bowmanville after a courageous battle with Cancer. Predeceased by his parents and sister, Nora (Scollard). Allan leaves his sisters Eleanor (Charles B. Rycroft), Catherine (Bill Millions) and brother George (Margaret) and many nephews and nieces. Allan's story is one of great courage, determination and perseverance. Stricken by polio in the great epidemic of the early 1950s, he survived many traumatic months in an iron lung and returned to take his place as a valued employee of General Motors of Canada and later EDS where his skills in computer programming were recognized. He retired in 1983. Allan determinedly persevered in many areas of interest among which were boating, hunting, marksmanship, metalworking and reading. Allan served on the Executive of the Ontario March of Dimes Local Advisory Committee, Chair of the OMOD local Post Polio chapter the OMOD Post Polio Committee, Allan received the Governor General's award for his volunteer work with the March of Dimes. Allan also served on the executive of The Toronto Society of Model Engineers, The Oshawa's Marksmen's Club and the CILB. Allan was a contributor to many local and national charities. In lieu of flowers donations to the MS Society or the Charity of your choice in Allan's name would be appreciated. Allan's family would like to express their thanks to the Staff of the Lakeridge Health - Bowmanville Palliative Care 1st floor for the exceptional care and comfort they provided Allan during his lengthy hospitalization. Beloved father of Cindi Heurkens (Cindy), and the late Christine Heurkens-Mackey. Dear step father of Frank Kelemen (Joyce), Nancy Stritychuk (Jim), and David Kelemen. Loved grandpa of Megan, David, Robert, Grace, Daniel, and Andrew. Brother of Sjaak (Willie), Cor, Corrie, Bert (Brenda), Betty (Ben), and the late Christine and Rein (Hazel) and Frank.
