Better known to his family and friends as Kenny. After a brief but courageous struggle with cancer, passed away at home in Ajax, on January 26, 2003, in the warmth and love of his surrounding family. Kenny at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of 46 years to Audrey. Treasured Dad of Linda and her husband Greg Perron, and Lora and her husband Anton Cook. Devoted Grampie of Isaac, Jonathan, Jessie and Emily. At the Ajax/Pickering General Hospital on Sunday, January 26, 2003 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late George Armand. Loving mother of Carol Anne (Stanley) of Windsor, Gary (Cathy) of Bowmanville, Paul (Dianne) of Oshawa, and George (Faith) of Newcastle. Dear grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of eight. Predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Sister-in-law of John and Mary Robert and Gertrude Robert of Southgate, Michigan, Pat and Bruce Stapleton of Roseville, Michigan and Theresa and Lawrence Biskaer of Stow, Ohio. Geraldine was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Legion of Mary at St. Bernadette's Church, The Literacy Council and the VON Teacher's Assistance Program at Applecroft Elementary School. Mrs. Robert was also a supply teacher for many years in both the Separate and Public School Systems. SCOTT, John Sherman
In comfort and peace on Sunday, January 26, 2003 after a full and varied life. Born in Primrose ON, July 24, 1913. Raised in Mono Township before marrying Dora Mary Moffatt on October 25, 1941 and moving to the Toronto area, settling in West Rouge in 1943. Sherman and Mary operated a building supply business in Pickering Village for a number of years. Sherman was actively involved in municipal politics in Pickering Township as Reeve and Warden of then Ontario County (now Region of Durham). He was actively involved with the Metropolitan Toronto Conservation Authority for over 25 years and served on its executive board. He had a lengthy involvement with the Pickering Historical Society. Dearly loved by wife Mary, children Christina, and John and his wife Heather, and grandchildren Jason, Lindsay, and Andrew. Predeceased by his brothers Charles, Robert, and George. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday. The funeral service will be held at Pickering Village United Church, 300 Church Street N., Ajax, on Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at 11 a.m. Interment in Burns Cemetery, Mono Centre.
