LeDREW, Gaille
Born Louisburg, Cape Breton Island, January 17, 1945. Died Uxbridge, Ontario, January 7, 2003. Gaille had an indomitable spirit. She took on every project in her life with verve and enthusiasm. She had a quick wry wit and made many friends. Probably more close friends than most. She seemed to win a year-long battle with breast cancer, only to succumb very suddenly to lung cancer. Even in the worst moments of her crisis, she was still able to crack a joke to calm us all. A Wake will be held at the Uxbridge Legion, 109 Franklin St., on January 17th, 2003 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Enquiries 905-852-3625. Gaille is survived by her brothers, Gary LeDrew and Jack Boone. Donations to Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation in lieu of flowers.

MACKO, Mildred
Suddenly at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Tuesday, January 7, 2003, Mildred, in her 80th year. Born in Lucky, Slovakia, in 1923. Beloved wife of the late George Macko Sr. Much loved mother of George Macko Jr., Frank and his wife Bea, Ed, Sylvia and her husband, Bob and Ken. Cherished grandma to Dean, Alison and Natasha. Sister of Leo and his companion Lonnie, Andy and his wife, Jean of Kitchener, and the late Rudy and his wife, Marilyn of Brantford. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Also remembered by her many friends at Grace Lutheran Church, Oshawa. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East Oshawa, (905-433-4711) with funeral service at Grace Lutheran Church, 540 Cromwell Avenue, Oshawa, on Saturday, January 11th at 11 a.m. Interment, Thornton Cemetery. Memorial Donations to Grace Lutheran Church would be gratefully appreciated. Visitation commencing Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

TUEPAH, Francis Eugene 'Gene'
Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 7th, 2003 at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa, in his 60th year. Beloved husband of Lea. Loving father of Paul and his wife Rachelie (Nova Scotia) and Christine and her husband, Stephen Pineau (Whitby). Loving Papa of Jonathan, Joshua and Sarah. Cherished son of Francis and Margaret. Brother of Bernard and his wife, Bernadette, Mary Alice and her husband, Don Ruston and Vincent and his wife Brenda. Brother-in-law of Frieda DeLeenheer. Loved by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many cherished friends that he met in his lifetime. ARMSTRONG, Ivan Bruce
Suddenly at Northumberland Health Care Centre, Cobourg, on Monday, January 6th, 2003, in his 55th year. Beloved husband of Carol Armstrong. Loving father of Scott and his wife Julia, Kevin, and Brian. Dear brother of Wayne (Pat), Laverne (Luella), Russell (Sheila), Larry (Dorothy), Randy (Brenda), Gary, Shirley (David, predeceased), Joan (Carvel), Esther (John), Wilma (Larry), Dorianne (David), Marjorie (Peter), Carol (Steve). Predeceased by his sister, Verna and his brother, Brian. Loving nephew of Dr. Grant Armstrong. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, with Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday, January 9th, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Donations to the Charity of choice would be appreciated. BEER, Reginald Thomas
In his 87th year. Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, on Monday, January 6, 2003. Beloved husband of Rheta for 66 years. Loving father of Carol Florence O'Neill & her husband, Ernie; Gary Reginald Beer and James Robert Beer & his wife, Margaret. Loving grandfather of David O'Neill, Stephen O'Neill, Cathy O'Neill-Rayner, Christopher Beer and Jonathan Beer. Great-grandfather of Sarah, Shannon, Nolan and Darin. He will be sadly missed by Jean. Survived by his brother Fred Beer and predeceased by his brothers Norman, Len and Ernie. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Toronto. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an Animal Charity of your choice.

BOLGER, James
At Hamilton, on Monday, January 6, 2003. James Bolger, beloved son of the late Reginald and Agnes Bolger. Dear brother of Ann and her husband, Jim Booth. Nephew of Frank and The Rev. Fr. John T. Bolger. Lovingly remembered by his cousins. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Mass at St. Francis de Sales Church (82 Church Street S., Pickering Village) on Thursday, January 9, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Interment - Holy Cross Cemetery. EYMAN, Norman

Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Corp.-Port Perry with his family at his side on Monday, January 6th, 2003. Norman, in his 62nd year. Survived by his beloved mother, Genevieve, predeceased by his father Adolf. Fondly remembered by his children, Michelle and Angela. Will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Richard, sister, Nadine Solotarow and her husband, Art. Greatly missed by nieces, Tracie, Liana, Rosanne and nephew Aaron. Sadly missed by great-nieces and nephews. Resting at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice 905 432-8484 (1.5 kms east of Townline Road) with Funeral Service in the Chapel on January 9th, 2003 at 2:30PM. In his 83rd year. At Versa Care Centre, Uxbridge, on Monday, January 6th, 2003. John Featherstone, husband of the late Marjory Varey and dear father of Marianne and husband Keith Boyce of Keswick, Gary and wife Linda Featherstone of Sandford, and Marjory Welch of Thornton. Survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Brother of Mary Wilkinson, Margaret Perry and the late William and Tom. Resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home for service in the chapel on Thursday, January 9th, 20O3, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation 12:00-2:00 p.m. Interment Uxbridge Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Charity of your choice.

MAJOR, James Russell (Jim)
At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Monday, January 6, 2003 at the age of 85 years. Jim, beloved husband of Betty. Loving father of Russ, Marilyn and the late Sue Holmes. Dear grandfather of Michele, Jason, Steve, Lindsay, and the late Duane and great-grandfather of Brandon, Megan, Brittany and Lucas. Loved brother of Gordon Major of Bowmanville. Friends were able to pay their respects at the Morris Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Funeral service was held in our Chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Spring interment, Orono Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Orono United Church would be gratefully appreciated.

Peacefully, on Monday, January 6, 2003, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Whitby, at age 88. Kay (nee Morgan) of Port Perry, beloved wife of the late Gordon McLagan. Loved mother of Joan and her husband Tom Barnes of Nestleton, and Shirley and her husband Clayton Cain of Lindsay. Loving grandmother of Tom Barnes and his wife Wendy of Blackstock, Jody and her husband Gord Smith of Blackstock, Neil Cain of Bowmanville, and Barry Cain and his wife Karen of Ajax, and great grandmother of Gordon, Cori, Deanne, Kathleen, Jaclyn, Madison and Joshua. Relatives and friends will be received at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Wednesday, January 8th from 10 - 11 a.m. A Service to celebrate the life of Kay McLagan will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Michelle Hofman officiating. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Scarborough. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry.

Peacefully on Monday, January 6th, 2003 at Marnwood Health Care, Bowmanville in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late George. Loving mother of George and his wife Cay of Oshawa, Jack and his wife Anne of Oshawa, Lorraine and her husband Ted Ritchie of Newcastle and Joyce and her husband Bob Cameron of Mississauga. Lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter Madisen.
