ROBINET, Albert Joseph
On Thursday, December 25, 2003, in his 84th year, died suddenly at his home in Oshawa where he lived and was cared for by his daughter and son-in-law. Born November 22, 1919 in Windsor, Ontario, he celebrated his life and gave many years to the war efforts, becoming a much decorated veteran. He was predeceased only 21 months ago by Carol, his wife of 58 years. As Carol wished, her ashes will be buried with her husband and they will rest together now in death as they did in life. Mr. Robinet is survived by his three sisters, Madeline, Edna and Bernadette, one older brother Eugene and one younger brother Henri, all of Windsor. Mr. Robinet is survived by his loving children, Dolores Zimny (Whitby), Mrs. Lorraine Banks and husband David (Oshawa) and David Robinet and wife Mary (Whitby). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Mrs. Kimberly Watson and husband David (Oshawa), Gregory Banks (Oshawa), Jay Robinet (London), Kyle Robinet (Whitby) and Alicia Zimny (Toronto). Mr. Robinet was very blessed to be loved also by his great-grandchildren Brittany, Bradley and Denzel. Mr. Robinet with his never ending need to joke and humour, will be greatly and sadly missed by his many family and friends. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. Viewing for Mr. Robinet will be from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. followed by a service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2003 at McEachnie Funeral Home.
