VISSER, Dorothy Ellen (Enns)
Aged 41 years. Suddenly at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, December 13, 2003. Beloved wife of Murray. Loving mother of Eric and Mark. She will be sadly missed by her parents Adene and Jake Enns; sister Adrienne and Jason Hodell and their son Graham; and brother Dennis and his wife Linda. Dear daughter-in-law of Don and Joan Visser, sister-in-law of Ann and Fred Mars, Florene and Don Prins. Cherished aunt to Lauren and her husband Scott Barker, Andrea, Jonathan, Taylor and David. Funeral Service will be held at HEBRON CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, Whitby (Anderson St. at Taunton Rd.) on Tuesday, December 16th at 1 p.m. Cremation. Memorial donations may be made to Bereaved Families or a Childrens Charity of your choice.

YOUNG, David Hamilton
79, of Turo, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully on December 13, 2003. David served overseas in the Second World War and after the war lived in Oshawa, Ontario and drove buses for Oshawa Transit until his retirement. Survived by his wife Florence 'Flo" Young, stepdaughter Sharron Byers (Ken), sister Bernice DeFour, predeceased by brother Frank Young and sisters Emily McCann and Enid Mintz. Loved by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26 conducted a tribute service for Dave on Wednesday, December 17 in Truro. Peacefully, after a battle with cancer, at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa, on Friday, December 12, 2003, at the age of 48. Loving wife of Bruce. Caring mother of Doug, and Michelle and her husband Adam Howorko. Dear Nanny of Dylan and Peyton. Maggie is survived by her mother Mary (Jack), sister Sharon, and brothers Doug, Gary, and Pete, and their families. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. She will be sadly missed by 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. A Private Mass of Christian Burial Service was held on Monday, December 15th, 2003 at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH with Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Dear grandmother of Ryan, Wayne, Sarah, Robina, Katie, Mark, Sally, Sandra, David, Matthew, Andrew, Chris and Lee Anne. Brother of Anne Chudyk and her late husband Fred of Fork River, Manitoba and sister-in-law of June Hrehoruk and her late husband Bill of Oshawa. Predeceased by parents and brothers. Visitation commencing at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-4711) on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Memorial Service in the chapel on Monday, December 15th at 11 a.m. immediately followed by a reception at the Funeral Home. The family of John Jeffs have lost their loving husband, father and grandfather, on Thursday, December 11, 2003, at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Anne Jeffs (nee Close) for 63 years. Loving and dedicated father of Sally and her husband Ed Hanowski of Oshawa. Proud and cherished Grandpa of Kevin and his wife Erin Hanowski of Burlington and Christopher Hanowski of Toronto. Son of the late Carl and Sarah Jeffs and brother of the late William and Charles. Fondly remembered as a true gentleman by family and friends. A heartfelt thank you to Barb and Mike Henton for always being there. A special thanks to all of Mom's and Dad's support workers. A memorial service to celebrate John's life will be held following Anne's hospital stay.
