LEWIS, Phillip
In Kingston Sunday, May 8, 2005 Phillip Gerard Lewis of Brockville, age 47. Beloved husband of Denise (nee Benoit). Loving father of Christopher (Becky) and Daniel. Dear son of Dorothy (Cullen) and the late Daniel Lewis. Dear brother of Sharon Vout of Prescott, Barbara Plume (Norm) of Cardinal, Margaret Barber (Eddie) of Spencerville, Charles Lewis (Lin) of Kemptville, Gerard Lewis (Linda) of North Augusta and Dorothy Lanoue (Donny) of Prescott. Predeceased by son Jeffrey, brother Gregory and sisters Sheila and Heather. Dearly loved uncle of may nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Grant Brown Funeral Home Purcell Chapel, Spencerville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Laurence O’Toole Church, Spencerville on Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment Throoptown Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, C.N.I.B or Canadian Diabetes Association.

LORIMER, Mildred
At the Rosedale Retirement Residence on May 9th, 2005, in her 88th year. Mildred Lorimer was a longtime elementary school teacher in Brockville and a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church. Beloved daughter of the late William and Edith (Baker) Lorimer. Predeceased by sisters Edna, Marguerite and her husband Bill Wilson, and by her brother Arthur and his wife Marion (Haley) Lorimer. Survived and fondly remembered by her nephews and nieces, W. Lorimer (Lorie), Ian, Rob (Ann) Wilson and Ann Huot (Guy) and by Martha McCord, Nancy Lorimer (Dave Glennie) and Andrew Lorimer, and many great-nieces and nephews. Also survived by cousin Harold Lorimer (Jean).
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Wednesday, May 11th from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, May 12th at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the First Presbyterian Church or the Brockville Museum will be gratefully acknowledged.

MERRIFIELD, Annstacia “Ann” M.
Mrs. Merrifield died Saturday, May 7, 2005 at the Brockville Hospital. She is survived by two sons and a daugher, Robert and his wife Gayle of Heuvelton, N.Y., Thomas of Dekalb and Mrs. Wayne (Linda) Bellinger of Cardinal, Ontario, Canada, by three grandchildren Amanda and Amber Merrifield of Heuvelton and Anna Merrifield of Ogdensburg, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by six sisters Phylina Gilbow, Clara Premo, Beulah Etheridge, Martha Woods and infant twins Madeline and Sarah Robinson, four brothers William, George, John and infant brother Norman Robinson, and a grandson Nathan T. Merrifield in 1991.
Arrangements are with the Fox-McLellan Funeral Home. Graveside Services for Annstacia “Ann” M. Merrifield, 72, of Meadowland Drive in Cardinal, Ontario and formerly of Heuvelton, N.Y., will be held on Wednesday May 11, 2005, at 11:00am at Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton, N.Y., with Rev. Bernard Fortune officiating. Mrs. Merrifield made a request that calling hours be private. There will be a celebration of Life Service on May 28, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at 5173 Meadowland Drive in Cardinal, Ontario at the home of her daughter. Linda. Memorial Contributions can be made in her name to a charity of your choice.

STIMPSON, George
Peacefully at home, North Augusta, on May 9, 2005 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of Hazel (McKimm) Stimpson. Born September 8, 1911 in South Totenham, England, George was the son of the late Leonard Edwin Stimpson and Ellen Matilda Beck. He was predeceased by his brother Percy, and sisters Irene in infancy, Edie Pepper and Ivy Stimpson Survived by a niece Margaret Keizer and nephew Colin Beck. George came to Canada in 1927 and worked for many years with Libby’s and then General Milk, retiring in 1976.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a service in celebration of George's life on Thursday, May 12th at 2 o’clock at the Roselawn Tribute Centre, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland. The Service of Committal and interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In remembrance, donations to the charity of choice will be gratefully acknowledged. Entrusted to the care of Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville.

CHEESEMAN, George
Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital with his family by his side on May 5, 2005, George Anthony Cheeseman Sr., in his 82nd year. Son of the late George Cheeseman and June Flaro Cheeseman Steacy. Beloved husband of Helen Magee Cheeseman. Dear father of Muriel Bowen (Raymond) of Lyn and June Newcombe (Danny) of North Augusta. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Tracey and Darrell Bowen, Tyler and Shane Newcombe and Barry, George and Tina and by several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his son George Arthur Cheeseman, grandson Corby Newcombe, two sisters Audrey Cheeseman and Muriel Montroy and by his stepfather Ken Steacy.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville from Friday 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 1 until 2 p.m. when Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. At the Brockville General Hospital on May 4, 2005, Fredricus Thimotius (Frits), in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Rita Gysbers. Dear father of Martin Gysbers (Lynn), Carin Keeling (Glen) of Scarborough and Fred Gysbers (Linda) of Burlington. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Paul, Nico, Brian, Pam, Rob, Andrea, Marc and Jessica. Brother of Jan, Wim, Marie and Bep.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday from 6-9 p.m. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated in St. Francis Xavier Church on Saturday at 10 a.m., Cremation will follow at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland with interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery at a later date. Members of the Knights of Columbus No. 1049 will gather at the Funeral Home on Friday at 7:30 p.m. for fraternal prayers. In memoriams to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

Peacefully, at Providence Manor, Kingston, on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, in his 86th year. Son of the late Vincent O’Neill and Rosella Whalen. Dear brother of John (Elaine) O’Neill, Bel Air, Maryland, USA; Cecilia O’Neill, Belleville; Eileen Coughlin, Belleville; Vera (John) Fobert, Cheltenham; Elizabeth “Betty” (Jack) Ross, Belleville; Theresa (James) McDermott, Tweed; Joan O’Neill, Hamilton. Predeceased by sisters Helen Murphy and Mary O’Neill; brother Thomas O’Neill; and brothers-in-law Leonard Coughlin, Ken Rashotte and James Murphy. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law, Florence Finkle; many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Monsignor O'Neill will rest at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 279 Johnson Street, Kingston, on Friday, May 6 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., with the Vigil Service in the evening at 7:00 p.m.; and on Saturday, May 7 from 1:15 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Cathedral Saturday, May 7 at 2:00 p.m. Rite of Committal with prayers in the Priests’ Plot at St. Mary’s Cemetery. For those wishing, memorial donations in memory of Msgr. O’Neill may be made to the Priests’ Benefit Fund of the Archdiocese of Kingston.

COOTE, Galen Norman
Suddenly at the Smiths Falls Community Hospital on Wednesday, April 20th, 2005, Galen Norman Coote, age 81, of RR1, Frankville. Beloved husband of the former Margaret Adams. Dear father of Stephen Coote (Audrey) of RR1, Frankville, Melanie Lockwood (Allan) of Kemptville and Grace Johnston (James) of Melbourne Ridge, Quebec. Loving grandfather of nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Survived by one brother Evan Coote (Freda) of South Durham, Quebec. Predeceased by one great-grandson Curtis Pattemore and three brothers Lyman, Gordon and Elwin. Also predeceased by two half-brothers and five half-sisters.
Friends may call at the Judson Funeral Home, Athens on Thursday, April 21st from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Addison United Church on Saturday, April 23rd at 11 a.m. Interment Plum Hollow Cemetery. At the Kemptville District Hospital on Tuesday, April 19th, 2005 in his 88th year. George Dudley Craig of Kemptville formerly of Chesterville. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn (MacDonald) Craig. Loving and devoted father of Mary Dawson and her husband John of Kemptville. Dear brother of Donald (Helen) of Winnipeg and Norma Carss (Bob) of Edwards. Precious grandfather of Craig and his wife Catrina of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mark of Kemptville. Predeceased by one daughter Kathryn Craig, and two brothers Ormond and Leonard.
Visitation will be held at the Grant Brown Funeral Home, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Service in Celebration of Dudley Craig's life will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Saturday, April 23rd, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Maple Ridge Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Bayfield Manor Nursing Home, Kemptville District Hospital ‘Lean On Me’ Campaign or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be gratefully acknowledged. HUCK, Thomas
Peacefully at the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital with his family by his side on Monday April 18, 2005 in his 76th year, Tom Huck. Husband of Margaret Huck of Prescott. Father of Christopher of Orleans, Janice (Michael Boyles) of Prescott, Dawn (Doug Henderson) of Ottawa. Grandfather of Jennifer, Erin and Laura King and Andrea and Stephanie Huck. Brother of Peter (Monica) of England. Predeceased by his parents William and Irene Huck. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, 416 Dibble Street West, Prescott from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mark's Catholic Church on Friday, April 22, 2005 at 2 p.m. Interment at St. Mark's Catholic Cemetery, Prescott. For those wishing the family would appreciate donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Palliative Care.
